   Nice place that's not to expensive food was over all very well presented but the centre my pie was almost cold and a pizza had very tough base overall a good place and we will be back but not have the meals we just had

   Excellent meal, think a bit short of staff but they managed it well enough, we weren’t in a hurry so-no problem. Brought my brother and his wife for lunch bit nervous as they are used to eating out at the best in the Manchester area. They thought it was fabulous definitely want to go back, says it all really.

   There are different areas I'm this pub restaurant. You will be able to find one that meets your needs. The food is always excellent, without fail. Take out family, friends, or colleagues, this place will do perfectly. Always a friendly atmosphere.

   Food was really nice, the salt and chilli pepper halloumi fries didn’t have hardly any salt and pepper seasoning on which was disappointing. Food and drink was really good! We really enjoyed it and would return again.

    This was outstanding and I would thoroughly recommend it. The choice of food was great, the tables had plenty of room around them, service was brilliant and very good value for money. Super beer garden and parking over the road. We will definitely return.

    Wonderful find for us as it is dog friendly. A really pleasant atmosphere and the outside area a real bonus on a fine day. The food is very good and staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

    Disabled Toilets are not upto standard..no soap in the dispenser ( the last two visits) Gammon was Salty I appreciate that can happen The Royal charge premium prices but I don't think customers are getting premium service

    Lovely meal for Mothers Day. Easily booked on line. Good service from all. Our only negative was, one meal was the chicken and bacon pie with GarlicMash and Cabbage. It was served in a tin dish and the plate needed to be much bigger to accommodate it,It was a bit of a mare to eat actually, flaky pastry everywhere. Also we ordered a wine for Mum and the glass was filthy..lip marks from lipstick all around the rim. This was quickly sorted and apologies were given. Hence only 4 stars for the food.

    Possibly the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. Some thought had gone into the veggie option and it was fantastic to see it wasn’t just another dull, dry thoughtless nut roast. Bread to hummus ratio was a little off for one of the starters but the rest of them were fantastic.

    Fabulous food, everyone commented how wonderful it tasted and how perfectly cooked our meals were. Noise levels were absolutely normal for a pub, we had a little one with us so didn't make us conscience of any noise he made. Food was delivered in good time. We will be booking again.

    Food was good - slightly more expensive than expecting but in line with other pub/restaurants. Lovely decoration inside - spacious and well maintained. Service was good. Only issue I have is that dogs are allowed anywhere and I saw two waiters strike/pet dogs and not wash their hands before serving others.

    We celebrated our grandson's birthday at the Royal. Every aspect of the evening was perfect... from being greeted by a lovely young man at the door to having our table cleared at the end of the meal. Excellent service and fabulous food, which was above your usual pub food and thus good value. We will be returning for future celebrations and nights out with friends.

    This was one of the best gluten free fish and chips I have ever had. The whole meal enjoyed by the four of us was brilliant. Will definitely be returning.

    Again, another fabulous dining experience in The Royal! The food was excellent, and four people had four different choices. The menu was Goe February , didn't realise that last month's menu was stamped ! Definitely recommend The Royal !!

    Great experience again in the Royal, food so good taken few Friends since I moved to Carnforth and always get a good welcome and the food is excellent. Friendly and atmosphere is good. Would recommend it to anyone.

    The food was outstanding, the service was good, however the table we were given was like being on the M1 as it was so close to the entrance. As it was our anniversary, I requested a table in a quieter corner, I know it's not always possible to accommodate all requests, but it was disappointing. Otherwise fantastic.
