The manager came over to the table to tell us that new rules from the government came into effect that required us to eat with the face mask on. And I later found out that the governor did make new rules but it doesn’t require you to eat or drink with your mask on. She made us very uncomfortable because she stood there looking at us drink and eat to make sure we were putting the mask on and off. Then when my mash potatoes came I asked for cheese and sour cream. The manager, the guy who bought the food to the table and the waitress argued with me about how the cheese is made on the potatoes and implied that I lied about the previous visits I’ve had there. The manager could have just said yes we put chunks of cheese in the mash potatoes but if u like oh can have it shredded and melted on top. She never tried to make me feel comfortable. I told her I just visited here 1 week before and the mash potatoes had shredded melted cheese on it and they all said no it didn’t. I believe if I ever had it before I wouldn’t have been so shocked. The waitress didn’t know about the promotions or the menu. The experience was horrible.
We sat down & my husband ask about the 8oz. Filet... they were out of. No steak smaller than 12-14oz. We had ordered a drink prior to being informed of that, so we advised that we would just be having the drink only. Immediately after, the female manager?, ask me to place my mask over my mouth. I ask how I could enjoy my drink with my mask up. The table beside of us had her mask down the entire time & was speaking very loud. Felt like we were discriminated against since we had decided to dine elsewhere. Never again. Harrah’s needs to figure out there management style...be what you portray to be or not. This is a highly rated restaurant on Open Table. We went across the street to Ruth Chris, which was a class act. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
amazing food, professional service, we love the new menu
I do not recommend if you are looking for somewhere nice and quiet to eat. The music in the restaurant was so freaking loud! It was also the same dance beat/crappy music that they play in the casino. When we asked the "manager" to turn it down, we were told that she could make a small adjustment. Nothing changed after complaining. The 'manager" said that she wished that she had more control over the choice of music and volume but the real manager likes the music and actually likes it louder than it was. We couldn't hear each other across the table unless you raised your voice. They were doing a good job of distancing the tables at this time but you could still hear nearby tables' conversations because they had to "yell" over the crappy music.
Now for the food.....skip it and go to Ruth's Chris across the street instead. Better quality steak and the sides are so much better at Ruth's Chris. My Crispy Skin Chicken was dry as a bone and the risotto was watery and very undercooked. I understand al dente rice but this was quite crunchy and hard.
The only plus was that they gave us a free dessert because they didn't have the appetizer we wanted (ricotta and spinach gnudi/gnocchi).
Steaks were under cooked the creamy potatoes were not even close to creamy price is way to expensive Ruth’s Chris is way cheaper an way way better tasting
Maybe-if you're using reward credits, but if you're paying with cash, definitely no.
The food is absolute perfection. The staff treats you better than family and takes care of your every need. Try the black spaghetti lobster, meatballs and crab claws. The steaks are divine. It’s all heaven in your mouth. The wine list is impeccable, and the drinks set the mood for a great evening in Mew Orleans!
Ruby was an excellent waitress !!!
It’s always good and reliable.
Awesome dinner and service. We were there to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Jess was our waitress. She was amazing!
Food was excellent ! The service was slow and our waitress "Natasha" was down right rude. She seemed really bothered to have to wait on us, she was not kind, no smiles, the restaurant was empty. Sunday night at 6:45.
My wife and I share meals, the waitress was most accommodating.
They just started a new menu without getting all the kinks out and it was hit and miss and the spacing between servings was poor. The dish with the black ink pasta and lobster was very good. We want back a few days later and things were better. We eaten there since it was John Besh Steakhouse and I think its go downhill from that point but its the only 1/1 comp upscale restaurant. Many great restaurants in NOLA but no comp if you gamble.
I eat at Steak Houses regularly thru out the year.
We were a group of six people and 4 of the 6 steaks were the incorrect temperature and extremely dry. The Manager implied that we did not know the difference between Medium rare and rare.
Definitely left a bad taste in our mouth. I will not be back again!
The service started off great but when I received my food it went downhill. My pork chop was the worst ever. I ate 2 mouthfuls. The rest was a raw inedible fatty mess. I complained to the waitress who just took it away and brought me the bill. Dreadful food. Dreadful service. Will never go again or ever recommend it
Unusual setting in the midst of a casino but held its own ambiance. Patrick was a pleasant and patient sever and we enjoyed our meal
Diverse food choices. Everything we tried was delicious ! Our waitress was outstanding.
My fiance and I made reservations for a special Valentine's day, our first as an engaged couple. Shortly after being seated, we ordered a crab cake to start and Blanton's. The appetizer came out extremely quickly (before we were even served our drinks.) We then ordered an Italian salad and a 10 oz filet with baked potatoe on the side. The salad had brown lettuce leaves and contained okras (not mentioned in menu description). It had a very strong spice, not typical of good italian salad, and was barely palatable. After waiting at least 30 minutes, with no one even checking on us, we reached out to the server and asked the status of our entree. We had a tickets for a concert and time was becoming an issue. Shortly after, a ?filet was put on the table that was closer to a 6-8oz. It was served lukewarm, without any juices, and had (I believe) oregano over seasoned on top. In addition, it was an extremely tough cut of meat and not tender at all. Even the baked potato was cold and poorly prepared. As we had waited so long for our entree, and did not want to miss our concert, we made do with the food served and had to rush to our event. To put it simply, the meal was disgusting and unacceptable for a restaurant of that caliber. Had we not been delayed by the extremely long wait to receive our food, I would have given this review on the night.
this visit was outstanding....the service couldnt of been any better..my server was excellent ..the food was soo good..i had a bone-in ribeye and it was cooked perfectly..along with a loaded baked potato and to start a chopped salad that was the best i ever had i would go back just for the salad itself....you must try this steakhouse if youre ever in the area..
Cocktail pairing menu was amazing!
Our waiter Patrick was great. We loved the ambience of our private booth. The soft yeast bread was good. We shared our meal before the parade. It was enough for two by far! Caesar salad which was nice, but a little bland for a steakhouse. The bone in prime ribeye was OUTSTANDING but served on a white cafeteria plate with a pat of butter that never melted. The asparagus with blue cheese were amazing, but the 18$ corn and crab orzo was served in a small ramekin and we had to send it back together warmed and we never could discern any crab. It was overall a lovely dinner, but for those prices, more attention to detail is needed.
Very elegant. Very good food. The waiter was very knowledgeable with good recommendations.
5 stars for sure.
The food and the service was 1st class. It was a little pricey but I will return.
Night before food & service were great. Last night it took over an hour to get our meal after ordering. One steak was good, the other just over half the size and overcooked. Would have normally sent it back but we had already been there so long nobody wanted to wait maybe another 30-60 minutes for a new steak.
The Food And Service was Just Ok 45 minute wait between appetizers and entrée and food was not hot barely warm
We eat here at least once a month, and every single time the food and cocktails are amazing. Try the steaks!!! They are cooked to perfection. If they have a specialty martini or cocktail, definitely get it. You’ll be so happy!!! The team is incredible and take care of every detail.
Much better than our last two meals there! Our 32 oz. Porterhouse($89!) was cooked perfectly to order, and our sides were fine- it WAS all about the meat! I took the server's drink recommendation and it was spot on for my taste preference. No room for dessert, unfortunately.
Good service but lacking the John Besh management. Steak just fair quality, tough and the exposed open kitchen needs a dam good cleaning. If you are going to showcase the kitchen it better be clean and this one no longer is that. Also out of uniform employee pushing cart of parts and buckets of something right through the open kitchen very close to food being served. The bones are there just needs some caring management to make it better.
Ruby was very inattentive and I found one of very long hairs in my roll. Overall, the food was decent, but my steak was overcooked. They were very understaffed.
Excellent entree selections with seasonal sides and the filet was prepared perfectly at medium well as requested.
Not my first time here but the food was very disappointed. Won’t be back here for a while.
One of best steaks in New Orleans. The entire meal was incredible. Every bite was delicious. Try the martinis. They are to die for in cocktail heaven!
It was amazing. Great food. Great service. Excellent vibes.
The Steakhouse has consistently gone down in service and quality. The drinks are horrible, can’t make a simple cosmo. Our waitress was new and it showed. Steak was ok, not high quality. I miss Besh. Your better off walking across the street to Morton’s.
Food was presented nicely and was very good but it was cold. Our waitress was totally rude so we just ate the cold food, paid our expensive ticket and left.
New Year’s Eve meal. Our server was Ruby and was fantastic! The food, service and entire experience was outstanding.
Third time at this restaurant. First time was not good. Second time was great. This visit was barely okay. Food was prepared right but service was lacking creating a lackluster $100 a plate meal. Too many other great restaurants in NOLA to spend time again at this one.
Your typical steakhouse. Nothing special. Food was good.
Christmas Day evening last minute dinner said salads were amazing but didn’t say it was size of my hand sauces and dressing super rich and salty 😬 overall friendly
