   Service and food were fantastic, wasn't busy at all. We were there early after the Theatre Calgary matinee. Loved that our server was honest about wine selection to make sure we had a good experience.

   We enjoyed our meal, a preset menu to complement the play Forgiveness which we had just seen. The meal was creative, well cooked and beautifully plated. Irene’s attention to our table was excellent, great service.

   Great pre theatre dinner at Thomsons last evening. Food was great. Service was excellent not too rushed but out in time for walk to theatre Calgary. Restaurant was full but not so noisy that you couldn’t hear yourself speak!! We didn’t have the set menu but it looked delicious and was a good price. Will be back.

    We arrived as a party of four, and all enjoyed our meals. We started with a delicious cheese plate. Two of us had sandwiches, and the other two chose chef's specials, accompanied by a nice bottle of wine. The service was excellent tkhroughout our entire meal. One of out party accidentally left a piar of glasses on table when we left. I received a voicemail to that effect from our server within about an hour after our departure - much appreciated. Thanks for a lovely dining experience. We'll be back!

    Terrible service starting from being asked if we had reservations , then being told it was a 30 minute wait in an empty restaurant! So we sat down few minutes and I booked a table with Open Table and went back up and told her I now have reservations! She looked like she sucked a lemon ! Lol our server started out fine but once the food came we literally never saw her again ?!! The manager got us refills and helped us and another server got us the bill after we asked , as we were tired of sitting with empty dishes and no drinks for half an hour . As Hyatt Regency guests you kind of expect better service .. should have crossed the road and went to Milestones .

    Food was good had the Cod and Chips wife had the Crab Cakes. Must try the apple Empanada was really tasty.Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back!

    Wonderful ambiance & very clean. I enjoyed being seated next to the fireplace & it never felt cramped or too empty. I wish I had more of an appetite b/c I wanted to try many things on the menu, but what I did get I enjoyed. My friend’s entree was equally fantastic

    Had a great night. The food was ok but batter was too heavy on the fish and chips and the seasoning was not to my liking on my salad. The band playing, Ready Set Bro was excellent.

    Thomsons was a better casual restaurant that was open on NYDay. We like to dine downtown after a Philharmonic Salute to Vienna Performance nearby. Reliably good and peaceful place to dine.

    We were mislead by the parking validation as the website does not say that food needs to be purchased or a minimum spend made to receive free parking. We had a large group of 16 people for drinks so our spend was significant but they would not validate our parking. So disappointed! Won’t be returning!

    Went to Thompsons for dinner on a Wednesday night. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, and the wait staff at the beginning were diligent and helpful. Towards the end of the visit, our waiter spent a noteable length of time visiting with another table, which overall ended up being 45 minutes of us sitting and waiting for the bill. My company was also initially wanting to order a dessert, but due to the gap between the waiter visiting us, they decided not too as it was too late. We would have probably not spent the 2.5 hours there that we did, and ended up having to flag our server down to get the bills. As for the food, the portions were generous for the price and the scale of the restaurant itself. The menu doesn’t have an overwhelming amount of options, but a diverse range of items you wouldn’t find at every restaurant (ie bison, boar, elk.) The food and ambience was very nice and while I would dine there again, I would explore other options in the area before I go back right away.

    Christmas Eve set menu. Tasty and delicious 4 course meal. Outstanding service. Quiet ambiance with some background Xmas music . We would have wished for a choice for the entree; other high end hotels offer that choice since not everybody enjoys eating turkey. Maybe Thomsons Kitchen and Bar will offer the choice next year.

    Went as part of Theatre Calgary dinner and a show set-menu. Excellent value for a delicious three course meal and drink. Service was quick and friendly. Validated parking underground was an extra bonus! Will definitely be doing this again!! Fantastic evening seeing Little Women. Highly recommend the whole package!

    10/10 experience. Our server, Ringo was fantastic and made sure our glasses were never empty. Super attentive and funny! The food was great, everything we had was prepared perfectly and had lots of flavour.

    We went for a 7pm dinner date, they insisted on seating us right next to the only other seated table of men, who were incredibly loud and obnoxious, and also directly beside an open ballroom where staff would go to sneeze, cough, and take personal calls…. Service was incredibly slow. There were only 3 seated tables and a few people at the bar when we were leaving, and it took 20 minutes and then my husband going up to the bar to get a bill despite asking for it earlier. We watched a waiter sneeze into his hand then pick up and serve a plate with the same hand seconds later without sanitizing. Our meal was quite good. That was the only redeeming quality. We’re here for 3 days at the hotel and won’t be going back. After dinner we strolled down Stephen Ave and went to Hys for dessert and drinks and got the 5 star service and ambience we were looking for at the same price point.

    We were wanting a quick delicious meal before heading to the theatre. We were all extremely happy with our decision to try Thomson's. Our meals were outstanding, portion sizes were just right, you didn’t feel like you needed a bank loan to pay for a great meal and our server was very professional. To top it all off, we got free parking!

    Top class meals, had a dinner here and then a breakfast while staying at the hotel. Both days had a wonderful experience at a rather democratic process. Amazing value, highly recommended!

    The Sunday brunch had a great selection of food there. Chef made omelets, an assortment of salads, chef served prime rib roast, seafood like shrimp cocktails, smoked salmon and mussels, other unique items that I normally don't see at a brunch, like a few dim sum items. They refreshed the dishes often to keep them fresh. The brunch comes with the usual, orange/apple juice, coffee/tea. Unfortunately, with all the great food show-cased, the service was very mediocre, it took a long time to get coffee/tea or water for the table (had to ask 2 or 3 times). I saw another table go to the serving station to get they own fluids refilled and I had to ask the bartender to get the water to be served when it didn't show for 10m after being ordered. If the drinks station was at the food section where you can help yourself instead, I would have probably given a higher score since I'll be able to get drinks refilled myself, however, with the very slow service, it really brought the review down. If you don't mind the slow service, the food offering was fantastic.
