Our family of 5 loves Town Tavern! They are always welcoming and the food is delicious!
Delicious food, several wonderful vegetarian options.
The food was delicious, the band was great, and it was a really fun atmosphere. We had fun playing darts too.
Great neighborhood place to grab a burger or dinner. The vibe is super chill and service super friendly. Food was pretty good but nothing to write home about. We’ll be back but probably will try something different on the menu. I love that this a locally owned establishment and they constantly check up on how we were doing.
Grab a bite and head across the street for movie.
Very friendly and accommodating waitress who I believe also mixed my drink ( was there for a late lunch - meeting a friend for some Bday love) made a great Manhattan and was super attentive without hovering or rushing us. Brought out a dessert that I requested when I made the reservation through the app without me having to remind them and ruin the ‘surprise’
The Tavern Burger is my favorite. i order it every time. Ask what the tap beers of the day are.
The people in my group were not thrilled about the food. My son got the sausage and egg sandwich and said it was too greasy and didn't finish it. I got the grilled veggies and thought they were too tough and flavorless. The sauce on them was gross, like cheap salad dressing. My daughter got the pasta with chicken, and although the pasta was fine (how do you mess up pasta?), the chicken tenders were battered yet in sauce, making the outside of them soggy. My husband got the pastrami sandwich, which he said was boring, and wished it had had sauerkraut on it. My mother got the fried chicken with salad and thought the salad had little flavor. She gave most of the chicken to my stepdad. My stepdad got the Chicken Bao. It was very little food, more like an appetizer, but I think he liked it okay. In general, the descriptions of the food sounded interesting, but the food itself was not good, especially for the higher prices.
Great food a good prices. Steak fries are awesome
The haddock itself was amazing, but the flavour was diminished by putting it on a bun. The shrimp poppers were nice, but lacking in distinct flavour and spice (mostly tasted of salt). The Town Tavern burger was fantastic. The fries are a must. Service was great. It is a noisy place, but the food is worth the visit.
Labor Day lunch, restaurant slightly understaffed, excellent food
Food was OK-not great.
Service was poor. A simple lunch order for 4people took nearly 2 hours!!👎
Good food, nice service. Fries are great! Cooler by the windows.
I enjoyed everything about Town Tavern except for my food. I got the fried chicken sandwich and did not like it all. I didn’t like the sauce on the chicken and the chicken itself tasted weird (like it was undercooked even though it wasn’t). However, my dad got the ratatouille sandwich and really liked it so I would definitely go back and get something else. The service was good, our waitress was friendly, and the food came very quickly.
Great hamburger and fries—finally tried other entries and equally tasty!
It was a slow night and staff was very attentive. The ladies at the bar/front were great.
I had one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time.
Definitely will be back.
Great place for dinner with a large or small crowd. The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect! Great staff that was able to accommodate a stroller and wheel chair. Will definitely return next time in the area!
Unusual quiet Saturday night. Service excellent and very attentive. Portions generous. Varied menu.
Band was loud Food excellent
Outstanding band played, “What She Said”
Lunch was fabulous!!!
I thought the menu was good as well as the beer selection, however even though the restaurant was less than 1/2 full we felt very rushed by the waitress.
The food and service were so amazing. Everyone in our party was blown away by the quality and taste of the food, it was obviously everything was made fresh!
We came with a group of people, all of whom enjoyed their meals and the musical entertainment that began around 9 PM.
Awesome food! Great service. I suggest the steak dish! Soo yummy.
Elevated sports pub with food that falls between inventive fusion and comfort, nicely presented. Excellent fries - thin cut steak style, extra crispy, served with malt vinegar if you like. Great fried fish. Shrimp poppers a perfect appetizer, shishito peppers stuffed with bits of shrimp arranged on a nice sauce. Fantastic French 75's, better than much pricier restaurants. Good beer selection. Our server, Hailey, was super friendly and responsive. Large TVs are viewable all around, but sound is kept down. Only minuses were so-so coffee and a forgotten doggie bag with 1/2 a meal had been thrown away within 10 minutes of our departure.
my husband and I went on Mothers' Day and expected it to be boisterous and it was but in a nice way. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My salmon tatsoi was very tasty and with a very generous piece of salmon. So we plan to go back as he enjoyed his beer and the atmosphere was very pub-like!
There were four of us for a casual lunch. All meals were different and we all really loved what we had. (Steak, stir fry, fish and chips, pastrami sandwich.) We also shared shrimp poppers and fried mushrooms which we very good. No loud music which we also loved so we could have a conversation without screaming. The waitress was great. We wanted to talk and she was not pushy about ordering (maybe because it was not busy). It was clean and comfortable.
A must try place. Interesting Asian twist on some American dishes.
We will go back again.
Great cas local place with good food and service. We just saw the jazz fest there and it was awesome!
They were slow with the food but very quick to remove plates even when food was still on it. The food was good but we felt rushed through dinner. Very noisy.
We were a table of 7 there for the first time to hear our son’s band play on a Friday night. Delicious food, great service, fun night!!! We’ll be back.
Could not understand the vibe in this restaurant or the food selections. My dish was called Chicken Bao. But the buns were small and the accompanied rice was served in a strangely-shaped dish, such that it was really hard to eat rice. The Thai cream in the dish was the only thing that kept me eating.
If you love loud bars with a gigantic TV screen every 10 feet, this is your place to go. Too loud for me, and the waitress was barely civil. She made the whole experience unpleasant. I will not return. The food was good and the presentation fine. Nothing exciting though.
Everything we had, the burger, the pastrami, and the brunch sausage and egg were excellent. Great fries, too.
Our favorite pub in Arlington. Food is great and service is friendly. Our go-to restaurant on Saturday nights when they have live music.
3 High tables should be staggered by back register.
Varied menu. Fun atmosphere. Food was very good. Will definitely be back to try something else on the menu. Nice addition to Arlington dining options.
We had a great experience at Town Tavern. The owner greeted us as we entered and sat us right away. The restaurant is nicely laid out with a few different rooms and a bar room. Our room felt like we were still part of the nice restaurant vibe but quite enough to have a conversation. We ordered the house special Town Tavern Burger and the Haddock sandwich. Both were huge and delicious. Not to mention the fat french fries that really held up to malt vinegar. We came for dinner and ended up staying for the music. There was a live band!! Loved it!! The service was good and the owner came by to check on us several times. Town Tavern is a place we will make our local hang out!
The food was fine. The experience was OK. I would recommend this place to a friend if they had a different wait staff. Our waitress (the older woman) was somewhat abrupt. We ordered tea after our dinner and she acted like she did not hear. When she brought the tea, she brought no milk or sugar and never asked if we wanted any. Our bill was $32 and we wanted to pay half cash and half credit card but she would not allow that, like it was an impossible request. We were not demanding customers. I expect a more pleasant interaction with the restaurant staff when I dine out.
Much more than pub food. Great meal and dessert
