Service wasn’t great, we weren’t told specials or offering parm cheese like we saw other tables being told or offered. They tried to rush us out.
Another outstanding dining experience at Tresca North End. From the moment we were seated and welcomed back to our table by the window we felt all tension from the week melt away. I am so impressed with how Chef Rich remembers what his guests love and had our appetizer of lobster stuffed mushrooms waiting for us and served them himself - piping hot! The wait staff is impeccable and while it doesn't seem possible that the food could get any better, it does with every time we dine there!
Absolutely love Tresca. I've been here maybe 5 times now and the food is always mouth watering. Coming on a game night is going to be noisy but watching Ray Bourque go from table to table and have conversations with everyone is awesome. The chef makes his rounds too which is something I've never seen before. They make sure it's a personal experience for everyone. Table 77 is a must bucketlist experience. Definitely recommend making reservations for dinner. I drive an hour each way to have dinner here. Staff is super friendly and attentive as well. Lot of poor reviews are from a different owners and different head chef. I recommend Tresca for any occasion! Sister dinner, romantic date, dinner with friends, or to watch a Bruins game. I literally say enough about it. Just go there and eat!
Great food and service, also wonderful location!
Thank you for your comments and business!
It was my husband’s birthday and we got together with our grown children in the North End. The service was wonderful and our server was very at attentive and pleasant. The birthday dessert was a nice touch! We will be back again.
Tresca is a MUST if you are in Boston, the food is out of this world. Service was prompt, Richard the chef and owner came to our table and suggested the stuffed meatballs. To die for, is all I can say. Better than the food in Italy!
I’ll be back again when in Boston.
Thanks Heather for the kind words and review. Our meatballs are very popular and we plan to sell them soon at retail! We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Boston.
Don’t normally get a filet in the north end, but saw one on the way to another table. It didn’t disappoint. Atmosphere wise, there’s a little more breathing room than other restaurants in the neighborhood. Will visit again.
Extensive menu, excellent service, good-sized portion, high quality food, excellent martinis.
Thank you for the very nice review!
Great time great food, great atmosphere. Perfect evening the host and waiter were great
Food and drinks were so good! I suggest the margherita pizza, probably the best I’ve had.
We went to Tresca to celebrate a special occasion. The food was mediocre at best. (The panzanella salad was just awful). The service was fine. I don’t think we’ll be back.
Great service and great food!
Incredible food, beautiful atmosphere and accommodating staff! Definitely one of the best the north end has to offer
Thanks so much for your kind review and we're glad you enjoyed your trip to Tresca. We hope to see you again soon!
outstanding food and service, everything was delicious, service outstanding and even got to chat with Mr Bourque, we go there frequently and gets better every time
Thanks for the nice review and glad you had a chance to speak with Ray. We hope you come back again soon!
Ray Bourque was at every table spending a few minutes before a Bruins game. Service was excellent and food was superb.
Thank you for your nice comments and glad you got to meet Ray. He is usually in before all Bruins home games. Hope to see you again soon!
Everything was wonderful!
Great, thanks for coming in!
Food was perfect. Service was excellent. We even got to meet Ray Bourque!
Glad you enjoyed Tresca and meeting Ray!
Our first time, we are a regular to many of the fine Italian restaurants in the North End section of Boston. It was a warm night, the overhead door was open near our table to Hanover street conveying the feeling that this would be a very rewarding evening. The service, the food, the ambience and the feel of the restaurant lead to a dining experience that will be difficult to repeat...but we'll definitely go back. Near the end of our meal, we met Richard Ansara, executive chef and part owner. He stopped by our table and inquired about our dining experience, we had an engaging conversation about our visit, a very nice touch. For a superb Italian dining experience, this restaurant would be highly recommended.
Thank you for the very informative review and nice comments about Tresca. Chef Rich makes it a point to visit with tables to get feedback and make recommendations. Hope to see you again soon!
We had a great experience at Tresca. We were able to sit upstairs and the doors were open so that added to the ambience. The food was above average but not the best we’ve had in the North End. The Italian nachos were different and yummy. The kids had gelato with their meals and they loved it.
Incredible food. Excellent service. Relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful place.
Amazing veal chop!!!
Really enjoyed dinner at Tresca. Scallops were excellent as was the risotto that came with them. Nice wine list and was invited to sample before making final selection. A bit noisy by the bar. Would like to go back to check out the upstairs.
Food was ok. Service was a bit slow and it wasn't that crowded as we arrived pretty late. Noise level is high. Had to ask for bread when others got it automatically. The wine was unremarkable for the price. Not the worst experience I have had, but also not the best. Plenty of other options in the North End to try before coming back here
We had a fabulous night at Tresca! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the fact that we could all hear each other. The noise level was great for conversation. Our server, Philip, was fantastic and did a great job with our table of 8! Can't wait to go back.
The food & service were incomparable! We enjoyed it very much.
Thanks for the great review and kind comments. We hope to see you again soon!
Good service, pleasant food although portions were somewhat small, good wine selection, chairs were uncomfortable and seating for older or physically limited customers is difficult being that the main dining room is on the second floor. Overall good experience and worth a visit.
The chef was awesome!
The restaurant was lovely. Chef Rich is absolutely wonderful his interaction with the customers is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Thank you for a lovely evening.
I love the food but the seating arrangements was to close for my liking but they were all very nice waiters that helped us.
Tresca has become our “go to” restaurant when in Boston. Food, service, value...it has it all. Great drink menu and the bone-in veal chop is outstanding. Never disappoints.
Thanks for your review and kind comments. The bone-in Veal chop is one of our most popular items!
Chef Ansara's meal was outstanding! Service and food were fantastic - highly recommend. thank you!
Thanks for coming into Tresca and your kind review!
It was a Monday night and very slow, so I'm not sure if that was a factor. Food was just OK for the price, I've had better veal parm for $15.
Service was slow and it was not busy. We went for an early dinner. Forgot the bottle of wine we ordered to come out with dinner. Had to go find someone to remind them to bring it out after the food was already on the table. Other than that the food was delicious as always. Wouldn’t let the service hiccup prevent us from going back.
Food was piping hot. I had veal chop which was perfectly cooked and my wife had scallops risotto which was a perfect balance between between parm and rice. It was very delicious
Food taste was outstanding. I got the seafood diablo which cost $49, but found the calamari was very rubbery; however the rest of the entree was fantastic
Very loud, food was average for the price. So many great restaurants in the area may not return because of that reason.
Fabulous all around. We enjoyed panzanella salad, antipasto, pasta and steak. All was perfectly prepared and delicious. Rich the chef/owner visited our table which was a nice surprise.
We loved Tresca! Officially our favorite place in north end. If you don’t go here, you are doing life wrong. Amazing food, such nice staff, amazing chefs. I am going back tomorrow. #trescaforever
Fantastic staff! We were celebrating my son's college graduation with a group. Originally seated near the kitchen upstairs, we asked to be moved to the window area, and they were very gracious in accommodating our request! Food and service were outstanding!
As always, Tresca’s did not disappoint. Everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed a delicious meal!
