Truly one of our favorite restaurants in the world for so many reasons. Where to begin. The bar is cozy and the drinks are delicious and inventive, the dining room is gorgeous, the outside space is beautiful. The mural in the stairway reminds us of a time when restaurants weren’t all cookie cutter. Great, unusual wine list. Perfectly attentive service. But without all that, it would still be our first choice because of the food. The new chef is incredible. Last visit, we had brioche, leek soup, mixed greens salad, littlenecks, langoustine, golden rice, and for dessert the panna cotta and pavlova. All were absolutely amazing. Can’t say enough about how much we love this place.

We hadn't been to Trummers in 2 years and decided to go for our 21st anniversary. We loved the new menu and the service can't be beat. We enjoyed it (and the new prices/menu) so much that we went back 3 weeks later. We have decided it's our new go-to for date night. I love the simple menu and the fact that it changes monthly (which insures the freshest ingredients are used)not to mention that have an extensive wine selection. Everything you get is excellent and I gave added bonus points for using locally sourced food. Trummers never disappoints!

Appetizers and beef with polenta was delicious. Homemade ice cream and pavlova was scrumptious

I only have great things to say about this restaurant! To start it’s a gem in Clifton. The staff could not be any friendlier. From the moment you walk in the door you feel like a VIP. Once seated, the owners are frequently at the restaurant and come to make sure you are 100% happy with your meal and service. The food is high quality and unique and the menu changes often, so you get the freshest ingredients possible. The mixologist, Mike, is experienced and makes well balanced, delicious cocktails. If you haven’t visited Trummers, it should be a must on your bucket list. Enjoy!

Because of COVID restrictions we had been unable to dine @ Trummer's in over a year! But it was worth the wait. Great hospitality, food, ambience. I love their signature cocktail dubbed the Titanic (complete with iceberg). The brunch menu is short but interesting. We both enjoyed the celery root soup with tableside presentation. The owner sent over the smoked salmon appetizer which we shared & liked very much. I had the prime rib on a pretzel roll w/ truffled fries. Hubby ordered the baked egg Shakshouka….we both voted it "best dish". He also had truffled fries. By then we were full so we had cappuccinos & shared the milk chocolate tart (topping was torched cinnamon meringue, reminiscent of s'mores!) Looking forward to returning for dinner soon.

We absolutely loved the place. We are still talking about the food and the service. The menu was amazing. American/French food infused with middle eastern spices and ingredients. Can’t find that anywhere in the DMV. The staff was amazing. Our waiter was so nice, knowledgeable with the menu and very friendly. Highly recommended

Special evening of fun with my wife and great food!

Trummer’s is in a country setting even though it is the middle of suburbia. It is a lovely location. It is a lovely place to enjoy a good meal. All the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I loved my short ribs with polenta. My husband said his prime rib was good but not outstanding.

This was our first visit to Trummers and it definitely won't be our last. From the minute we were greeted and seated we knew it was a great place. Every single person we encountered was professional, polite and so friendly. The food was amazing. We had the tune and porkchops. The presentation of the food and the portion sizes were wonderful! Oh and the cocktails.... an expresso martini to die for. We ended up taking home the pints to go of the housemade ice cream and it was fantastic.

Took a while to get initially waited on. Drinks were stunning. Prime rib was a little tough. Pricey... 3 people. 2 alcoholic drinks with dessert =$240 with tip.

Need better beef and bigger menu

Wonderful meal, incredible service, romantic atmosphere! Felt very safe with respectful staff, guests, and excellent distancing. Salmon was cooked perfectly and complemented with farro and sun chokes. Highly recommend!

Expressed disappointment with unavailability of some menu items seen online and owner went above and beyond to make it up to us. Service was amazing, and the celery root soup was incredible, as was the milk chocolate tart. Enjoyed a nice Austrian white wine with dinner and all in all had a lovely evening.

The place is stunning and the service is excellent but the food was not at all memorable. The choices were limited and many of the menu items we had enjoyed in the past were removed from the menu. New chef?? While they arrived to be creative, the flavors didn’t hold up well. Although you could feel they tried.

Great service and fantastic food

Me and my wife celebrated our Valentine’s Day dinner at Trummer’s Restaurant and it was a great experience from the food, service, and ambiance. Will definitely come back again for another special occasion.

Valentine’s Day, we were outside and it was great, we had a fire and heaters. Food and drinks were great!

Trummers is a gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of northern VA. The food is always excellent and the setting is picturesque. Service is excellent.

Always nice here however this time was a little off.

Service and ambience was great. Food was ok, a bit overpriced.

On valentines day

Had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner! Duck croquettes were very savory and delicious. The beef tenderloin was perfectly medium rare- just the way we like it. it was served with roasted potatoes and mushrooms. At our table we had the panne cotta, chocolate tart and ice cream. Not a crumb was left.

The food and wine were, as always, reliably very good. Justin is the most amazing server. We’ve been lucky enough to get him the last few times we’ve eaten at Trummers. While they don’t do the chef’s menu and wine pairings anymore, they still make great suggestions for wines with each course. We find it better to have them choose than to pick our own.

We loved it. The menu was super limited but good. The waiter was outstanding. Lastly, beautiful scenery and location.

Great stylish classy modern looking restaurant with a European touch, luxurious different kind of furniture, nice places, utensils, fabric placemats and cotton serviettes. Also nice dressed customers, because the restaurant has a dress code. The social distancing of the table setting was perfect, inside and outside. Waiters were perfect wearing their facemasks all the time. The background music was a little bit to rocky; I would have liked it softer and instrumental. And last but not least, the food was delicious (maybe now and then a little bit to salty) and lovely decorated on the plates. All worth the money; great for special occasions and celebrations. Lots of parking spots on both sides of the restaurant, that's located in one of the oldest and loveliest little villages of Northern Virginia.

Food was awesome. The signature drink the Titanic was delicious as well. I think our favorite item was the Rose Apple Salad. The duck breast following up a close second. The music choice didn't seem to go with the ambiance of the restaurant but that wasn't an issue just a side note!
