   This was our anniversary dinner, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Uchi is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Austin. We eat a lot of sushi around the world, and this is some of the best that we have ever had. Wonderful service and ambience as well. Make reservations, as they are always packed. Uchi team, especially Rachel (who was amazing!), we look forward to seeing you at your new location in West Hollywood in the future.

   Our first time at Uchi,Austin - was Incredible! A friend recommended it to us, and we were mind blown! Chef Tyson Cole's brilliant mind has brought some brilliant food to the table. Chef Blake was also outstanding in his creations. We enjoyed the citrus taste of the hama chilli and the hot rocks were a treat to try. The wagyu was tender & perfect. Our waiter recommended the kurodai which was topped with fresh lime zest & it felt like a palate cleanser while also delicate. We enjoyed the Hamachi and Sake Karai as well. For dessert we tried the coconut tapioca pudding and the Honey Toast. I would buy a jar of cashew praline if I could. The Honey Toast was divine, and I would come back just to eat that! Joe - our waiter - was kind, friendly and recommended so many wonderful things. It was SXSW weekend, and our table was a little delayed. Both managers treated us with respect, offering us drinks, starters, taking such good care of us. The customer service was par excellence! Joe did an amazing job and needs to be commended! We loved Uchi and will definitely be back!

   Wonderful second experience for me and first for my two guests. Alexis our server, advised us on a number of dishes that were phenomenal even added a complimentary dessert to the one we ordered for sharing.

    Great experience! Service is fantastic, from the hosts to table side service. Equivalent to a fine dining experience. Food was good- we tried a LOT- some of it was really excellent. Great attention to detail. Highly recommend going to happy hour!!

    I'm not fond of overpaying for meals, but there times when it comes down to a choice of maybe getting decent food for less with potentially bad service - the choice is very clear. Uchi was from start to finish a place of fantastic and tasty food (and this is coming from a guy who doesn't even like sushi), stellar and I do mean stellar service, with a great vibe to boot. One of the best places I've ever eaten at. It is a wallet killer for sure but when you are ready to "treat 'yo self" make this place at the top of your list. The only remotely negative feedback I'd have is that the menu changes TOO fast , as I ate there within a month of the last trip and the menu had already changed. That is hardly a point of worthy any demerit when the stellar food and service still did not skip a beat. This place amazed my socks off and you can better believe we'll be going back.

    Our server, Joe, made our experience another mind-blowing one, start to finish. We decided to try the 10 course tasting menu this time; it was indescribably delicious and artistically sequenced. Chef is a magician who invents vegetable dishes that sometimes even outshine the perfect proteins-how can this be? The Chinese broccoli was absolutely outstanding-I practically licked the bowl (as one does at Uchi). And we don’t always splurge on dessert, but even the pretty little chocolate coffee jewel we ordered was simply a flavor masterpiece. I learn when I eat here. What a magnificent experience. Money spent here has different value, you know? We can’t wait for our next visit.

    Uchi is hands down the best food I’ve ever eaten. The experience is well worth the price, because the caliber and quality of the food and service is beyond normal dining. Definitely a great spot for a special occasion. We will be coming here forever.

    Amazing! The best meal I’ve had in Austin. Everything was mind blowing. We sat on the patio which was a gravel base, which was not exactly what I expected, but fine nonetheless. The inside was pretty crowded (tables close together, full) and seemed like it probably gets noisy. All in all a great experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

    What an experience and journey! My wife and I did the 10 course journey. What an amazing evening! The staff really loves what they’re doing and the experience they are sharing with us. Such a fun and positive atmosphere. Uchi sets quite a standard for the Austin food scene and a standard for service. Was so happy we were able to get a reservation while in town visiting! So worth it!

    Amazing unique and inspiring food. The menu is a little hard to navigate but every selection was amazing. The fish flown in from Japan is the best I have had. Do not miss this.

    Uchi never disappoints. 2 of the 5 guests had never been and they were thoroughly impressed. Such great, creative food with impeccable service. Uchi is the OG for a reason. Best place to impress for a business dinner.

    This is the 2nd time here. 1st time we had great experience, this time doesn’t live up to the hype any more. We got a table at 4:45pm Valentine’s Day today. The bluefin tuna tastes great, Black Sea bream as well. The soft shell crab roll is nice as long as you don’t dip too much avocado crema because it is too sour! Sake toro not fresh and very thinly sliced. Edamame is regular. Uni(sea urchin) is very very salty and sour, hamachi and shishito pepper are too salty. Wagyu on hot stone is too salty, not have any meat flavor, not sure its a good thing or bad. They had over 10 choices of regular rolls a year ago, now they only have two choices.

    It was our Galentines / friends birthday dinner last night! Our waiter Emma was outstanding & even sent out a birthday plate for our friend. A few of us don’t drink & they had excellent mocktails as well as cocktails for those who drank. I have been to Uchi a few times & am always blown away by the outstanding service, food, and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

    The food is truly unparalleled at Uchi. The flavor of each item had such depth and was such a wonderful experience. The service as incredible, our server Kat had great recommendations and was incredibly attentive. While we waited to be seated we were provided bite size apps and enjoyed some cocktails at the bar. Would recommend Uchi to anyone coming to Austin.

    We sat at the sushi bar, and the service was great, both with food and drink. Some of the best sushi either of us have tried, and the sake selection was outstanding. Despite being pretty late in the evening, dishes were brought out at a fairly leisurely pace, allowing for a relaxed meal during which we could really savor each dish. I would highly recommend Uchi to anyone who likes sushi (the hot dishes and a5 Wagyu were delicious as well)!

    Absolutely loved dining here! The food was exceptional. Also, the ambiance was wonderful and service was great. Our waiter helped to guide us through the menu and when a dish took longer than expected to arrive, the manager came to our table and was so apologetic/attentive. Highly recommend.

    Visiting friend from out of town. Was able to get relatively last minute reservations on the patio. Waitstaff was knowledgeable, friendly, and so approachable. Food was fantastic with great vegetarian options for those in our group. Delicious cocktails.

    Dining here is really transcendent. I find myself repeatedly speechless with the bliss of exquisite flavor and texture balances, discovery of nuance and frequent happy surprise. Service is exemplary, attentive yet non-intrusive. A visit leaves you feeling like every taste bud has been lovingly attended to.

    This was our second visit to Uchi, and I was surprised that after a 10/10 experience the first time, it blew our minds again. We arrived early, and waited in the bar and had a cocktail. The bartender was awesome! She was fast, efficient, and the drinks were so good! Our reservation was for a table outside. It was taking a while to turn over so they asked if we would prefer to sit inside at the sushi bar. We were delighted to (partly because it was chilly, and partly because then we got to chat with our chef). We had sushi chef, Joy, and she was fabulous! She was personable, intelligent, and an incredible chef. She started by asking if we had been there before, what we liked/disliked, and what kind of experiencing we were hoping to have. (Such excellent questions!) We asked her to come up with what she thought we would enjoy based on our preferences and her favorites. Everything was incredible! There wasn't anything that wasn't absolutely delicious! Our waiter (whom we had on our first visit as well) was wonderful! He had excellent cocktail suggestions, and is just a really cool, nice person. (He's made for food service!) I cannot say enough about how incredible Uchi is. It's an experience that every sushi-lover should have. It's on the pricey side, but they make it worth every penny because it's such a great time. It's clean. They're efficient. The flavors are mind-blowing! Well done, and thank you Uchi staff for such an amazing evening!
