Food was excellent service was good will be going back
Food was wonderful and as delicious as we remember from pre- lock down. This was our first real restaurant outing!
Thank you to all the staff for excellent careful service!
Food was amazing. Still thinking about the bass sashimi. Will go again very soon
Safe pandemic protocols, amazing cocktails and amazing food. Can't wait to go back again.
the sashimi’s was the star. Kingfish and Spanish bass I think it was were fantastic. The scallops very amazing. Tuna tataki was the outlier today, just not as delicious as usual. Cocktails were killer.
Food is amazing and service was great- love eating outside
Always fresh and tasty. It's on the expensive side but worth going to.
Outstanding, classy, unique and yummy food - we had the wagyu beef dumplings, sea breem sashimi, shaved crispy brussel sprouts, lobster nigiri rolls, and tuna with foi gras sashimi.
The dirty martinis were delicious and generous.
Eating outside, socially distanced made us feel sage in our first outdoor eating experience. Loved the ambiance of being outside.
Sat outside on a beautiful evening and enjoyed a great selection of appetizers, Sashimi and Maki. Everything we tried was amazing. We are certainly coming back again!
My boyfriend and I dined to celebrate my birthday this evening. It was our first time here and our first venture to a restaurant since the shut down, but we had heard great things. We were, honestly, blown away. It was a beautiful night on the patio and seats were spaced comfortably apart from other guests. Our server was so sweet and helpful. I wish I had asked her name. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and guided us to choose several sashimi dishes that were incredible. In fact, every staff member we encountered was friendly and hospitable. Everything we ate was delicious. My boyfriend and I are both restaurant industry professionals and the dinner service we received was everything we would aspire to produce to our own guests. We can’t wait to return and try more menu items.
terrific！I actually enjoyed the outdoor seating. The servers are all very nice and the food is so good. Would definitely come again.
Everything was excellent - the food was interesting and delicious, the service was friendly and efficient. And given that we're in the middle of a pandemic, it was extra special.
The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. The service was pretty good under the circumstances of only outdoor seating along the sidewalk, but overall a great dinner.
Love the ambitious food and modern concepts. But too often the execution was lacking. Also, dishes did not have a strong foundation in the technical aspects of good sushi. Rice texture, temperature, seaweed wraps, highlighting of fish were weak. To be fair, Tai and Hotate dishes were fabulous. Tuna & Foie Gras ratio and texture was wrong maybe the Tuna should have been tartare, Hamachi Duet was also unfortunately a let down. Ultimately, not a great value proposition, too expensive for an uneven experience.
Seating was outside and they do a great job, even brought us an umbrella when it started to sprinkle.
The food was amazing as always and the service was exceptional.
Had an excellent dining experience with Uni. The food as always was creative and innovative with very fresh ingredients and the tables were well distanced to mitigate covid risk and the servers were appropriately masked and aware of good health protocols. Thanks you to everyone at the restaurant for a very nice dining experience
What an incredible menu. And the food so brilliantly prepared. This place is expensive! You're going to spend a lot of money to get full, however it's worth every penny. The presentation and flavors were absolutely incredible. If you havent been here please go!
We did the outdoor dining- so more noise than usual, but not an issue! Staff were great, hand sanitizer on tables. Food was delicious and cocktails well made.
Food fantastic, flexibility to move us to takeaway as the skies opened with rain terrific service, noice on Mass Ave a bit much but not the restaurant's fault.
Uni never disappoints and the sushi is ridiculously good. Service is always stellar. Manager comped us a cocktail because it took him a few extra minutes to deliver it. Overall fabulous
Uni is the best! So hard to be operating any restaurant during the pandemic, especially one with such carefully crafted and beautifully plated dishes, but Uni completely delivered, offering an excellent dining experience, especially given the circumstances.
Fantastic dining experience.
Food & drinks were AMAZING. we got tuna sashimi, ramen cacio e pepe, octopus, brussel sprouts and one maki between 2 people. it actually ended up being too much food but not by much. Everything was fresh, delicious and not too heavy. our server was great, very attentive and ambiance was great. BTW we sat oustide due to covid and ambiance was still great, not too loud. only complaint is it is pricey but worth it :)
Food was unbelievable and came out quick!
Uni was the perfect place to go for a first date, since everything is tapas style its great for sharing. Its definitely a splurge but worth it if you can afford it. The wait staff was so kind and helpful, didnt have any issues with them at all. The food was almost perfect except for the spicy tuna roll which wasnt spicy or flavorful, and the ramen cacio a pepe dish which just fell flat. I definitely recommend getting the scallop sashimi and the duck carnitas! They were great!
The plates are small for the patio dining, but the food is amazing. We went there to celebrate my friends birthday and the staff was great. Will be going back.
Outstanding top notch sushi with Boston’s classic neighborhood vibe on Comin Ave. Pricy but worth it
Food is great as always. Server was fast and friendly. Appreciate everyone at Uni for working.
Took an hour to get nigiri to come out, wasn’t a busy night either with only 12 tables total. Food was delicious, small bites. Would have ordered more food but kitchen closed by the time our food came out. For the amount paid for the meal, would have expected better service.
The service for the new patio seating situation was lacking. We only had a 1 hour seating limit, but the waiter did not check in on us, so we had to wait a bit to put in our second order for food, and then did not have much time to eat. The food was amazing, but the service could have definitely be better.
I LOVEEEEE THE PEOPLE THE STAFF THE AMBIANCE! EVERYTHING IS SPECTACULAR! NEVER EVER AN ISSUE
Best restaurant in Boston! Everything was perfect.
So excited to be dining out amazing service. The food was fantastic
The wagyu beef melted in your mouth.
Dinner while still in quarantine during the pandemic... third day after restaurant reopening and only with outside sitting. All this considered, smooth service and good quality food. It was great to be eating out first time in 3 months....
Food was so fuego; if I was on death row, the restaurant would certainly be a top five contender for the privilege of preparing that meal before my scheduled departure from this world. The flavors complemented each other in Minimalistic simplicity a, perfect balance of savory and satiation. I left still hungry from the small portions, but that is not a gripe because I would never second guess the chefs discretion in the amount of food to provide because his discretion was so phenomenal regarding taste. Probably for the best anyways, I could do to use some weight, chef knows best.
The service and food was excellent. Our server was amazing.
Quiet city in the days of the corona virus. We had the omakase; the chefs were able to accommodate my wife, who doesn't eat meat. The restaurant is well run, with each course served with an explanation of what we were eating. We thought the music was too loud at first, but the volume got turned down. The room is also fairly dim, but then, we're old.
Everything is always top notch
