We ordered brunch, and there was tones of fruit fly on the food and all around in general
This is my second time ad Urban Roast. They were decorating for fall so there was a lot going on. Our waitress was attentive. Drinks were strong. Food came fast and was good. Will definitely return.
Don’t be fooled by the Instagram vibes. This place has some of the worst service and food in DC. It took 30 mins for our coffee to come and the waitress was confused as to which coffee was decaf and regular. No water was given to us while we waited. The food was mediocre and they give you plastic forks. Nobody knew what was going on and we had to get our bill adjusted twice. Would never come back here.
I’ve been to Urban Roast multiple times and it’s delicious and the cocktails are very good. Great ambiance and pretty decent service.
We were rushed to order, rushed to make choices, rarely waited on and my friend wasn’t even offered a refill for her drink. Food was okay, but nothing special. Did not like the atmosphere
Ambiance is gorgeous . I went during the week at lunch time so there weren’t many people. The service was great and consistent. The bartender was so nice and we didn’t even order drinks. We shared two small plates; Mac trio and empanada trio which were all delicious! I will be back!!
Now I love sweets but the Empress Lavender drink was 90% lavender syrup???? I had to add water to my cocktail to make it edible. It was pretty but thats it.
The seafood board (ahi tuna, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail) was supposed to be with an assortment of mixed veggies but it was all fruit, which i didn’t mind but also for $28 i should have gotten more seafood. My friend had the beef shawarma over rjce and she liked it.
Our server was so sweet! I forgot her name but she did a great job and was very patient and attentive .
Buffalo dip was the best thing ive had there. The restaurant was beautiful! Might go back in the colder months for the s’mores and fire-pit, and bakery items.
I enjoyed the food and coffee. The time I went was 2pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was very crowded. I think that’s their busiest time. The only reservation I was able to make was outdoor seating. I think I would have preferred indoor. The ambiance inside is much better than outside. I think there were too many people outside, seated in a small area. I recommend the restaurant and would go back, just would make sure that I sit inside.
The ambiance is great but some things seem like an oversight. Brunch and drinks were good but the scrambled eggs had a wired consistency, like they came from powder or a premix. The shared bathroom sinks are outside of the bathrooms and out of the 3 only one was usable (one with a broken handle, the other was clogged - wet paper towels all over). The mojitos and breakfast charcuterie board was pretty good and I would order it again.
The food was unremarkable but the drinks were good and the Manager on Duty had excellent customer service.
It was okay, server was a little busy with multiple parties and the food was okay.
This place was amazing. The food was delicious. Money well spent. I would definitely recommend the Urban Roast to anyone who is looking for uniqueness.
Enjoyed Urban Roast 8/10!!!
The short rib was veeeeery delicious, but I didn’t like it with the Mac, better by itself. My friends got the lobster Mac (which I believe deserved more meat) and the brisket Mac, which was delicious. The lavender lemonade was not a fave, but there’s a red strawberry, cherry, raspberry margarita that is SO GOOD! The s’mores are great but really messy. Worth every dime though.
Amazing service and ambiance. And on top the food was delicious, I’ll be back
I made reservations for 12:30pm. I arrived a few min early to check in & I wasn't seated until 12:55pm. The host said they were overbooked...We ordered a shareable breakfast board (reasonable prices), it was just OK. Unfortunately they don't make sunny side up/over easy eggs just scrambled (they use either liquid or powder). The service could've been better. If your looking for a instagramable place this is this place for you. If your looking for good quality food Id suggest going else where.
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere I would without a doubt go back for any dinner or celebration! Glad I chose to welcome my birthday at Urban Roast.
Amazing cocktails + service! The empanadas were delicious as well. Definitely a must try if you’re looking for a lively brunch atmosphere that offers good food and drinks to match!
Loved this place! Everything was amazing!! Get the espresso martini flight! Everything was so delicious.
Awful service our waitress disappeared for an hour
The ambiance is beautiful, definitely make sure you dress for pics! Food presentation was cool also. Def try martini floats and martini with the bubble! Memorable brunch experience will be back!
Great experience! Love the vibes here always, I’ll be back soon
I love the options of espresso martini flights! The restaurant has a cool vibe and I’ve tried the food before and it was amazing. The service is just always slow, even though there aren’t that many tables. It takes forever to flag down your waiter/waitress.
Restaurant wise: It took a great amount of time for the food to come out and when it did It came out lukewarm. The ambiance was really cute but the service was disappointing. We had to ask the busboys twice to find out server to even get our check.
The cafe we didn’t get to experience since we wanted to leave ASAP after such terrible service. However the cafe looked cute and seemed to have a variety of options
The food was pretty good. The main focus of brunch is the charcuterie boards. Outside it was very easy to hear, but inside the music was rather loud. Going with a lot of people (party of 6) made it worth the price. We ordered one of almost every board and was only $40 a person (and that is with one person who ordered bottomless mimosas). The deep blue and traditional board were my favorites, but the empanada board was also exceptionally good. The servers were very attentive and our water glasses were never too empty.
The biggest critique I have is the way the bottomless mimosas were served. We received the entire champagne bottle as well as a small carafe of juice to make ourselves. However, because only one person was drinking, the bottle did get warm and there was nothing provided to keep the champagne bottle chilled while on the table.
Music was so loud I couldn’t hear the people I sat next to. Otherwise food, service, and place was great.
Great customer service and seated promptly. The tables could’ve been more spread out as it was pretty hard to have a conversation with people at your table and made walking to the restroom/ getting up pretty difficult.
Food was absolutely delicious! The sunrise and fresh baked boards were perfect if going for brunch.
Unbeknownst to us, there was a business event taking place during our reservation time. The UrbanRoast section of this dual restaurant had been blocked off so we were seated in a hallway like setting. They were able to accommodate guests with this additional setting, however it did affect the timeliness of our orders and service. In the future, I think they would benefit from having more staff on nights like these or shutting down the restaurant to outside patrons for events.
seated for 20 minutes without water or service — walked out.
This place has to be one of the most beautiful places to dine in the DC area. The food was delightful and the energy was just what I needed. I could tell the venue was short staffed however the manager was very hands on making the experience worth the wait. I love the fact that for brunch, they really mean bottomless mimosas and will bring you the champagne bottle with the juice on the side. I do not prefer my mimosas to be premixed . My overall experience was great. I highly recommend Urban Roast for people looking for a place with high energy and amazing food.
I absolutely loved it! It was my first time here for brunch on a Sunday. The food was amazing, the staff are friendly, the ambience is glamorous. I wish service was a little faster though. Our waitress did her best to attend my party of 2. She did explain that they were short staffed and you could clearly tell. I hope urbanroast solves that problem soon.
Food was a 4/10 but vibes was 10/10
If you want an aesthetically pleasing ambiance then Urban Roast is the place to go! Drinks, and meat & cheese boards were a hit for our staff.
Music was very loud where we were seated, had to yell over top of the music in order to speak to our very small group. But still a great place, and will return!
Food was great and service was excellent. Although it was crowded, the quality of the food was delicious.
I wish the lamb was grilled more
The waiter was not attentive to service us. the lobster macaroni and cheese was watering extremely watery.the drinks were not consistent i. taste each go around and the crab cakes we’re extremely small and not worth a shareable portion. We receive no silverware no straws no anything this is my first time and I will not return.
Bad service all night and they brought us the wrong food twice. Not great experience.
The Mac n cheese was good but I ordered a medium Prime Rib burner and it came as hard as a hockey puck . I asked for it to be taken back to the kitchen and it came back well done I then asked for the burger to be taken off of the bill because I didn’t have any faith they could cook the burger correctly and they told me that wasn’t possible. So basically I paid for an inedible burger
We enjoyed everything about Urban Roast. It was recommended though a friend off TikTok. The only thing i would change is to lower the music just a little. Rather than that everything was amazing.
