Urbano Mexican Kitchen & Bar
great food and venue. service could be a little better. great overall place. definitely going again
great food, great deals
Face masks worn under nose by a server and the bartender wore his on his chin. This was on the eve of PA COVID closing...??? Forgotten table in a corner. No server for 30 min and no drinks another 20 min. Rice bowls were dry. Wanted to like it 😕
The service was horrendous. It was almost 2 hours after being seated that we got our food. The manager told us that the kitchen was backed up but couldn’t explain how people seated after us had gotten their food, eaten, and were gone and we were still waiting. Making excuses doesn’t work for me.
The tacos were very poorly made and thrown on a plate without any decent presentation. Not worth getting again for the money and won’t be back anytime soon
I was disappointed that I was told they don't make daiquiris. BUT they could make margaritas???? I don't like margaritas. I don't understand why one frozen drink can be made but not another? There was no rum?
My son and I were looking for a basic taco salad...ground beef, lettuce, tomato, perhaps in a shell. We were told no ground beef. We were happy though that they could still make us a basic salad with grilled chicken. Not the same. We also wanted queso on it but were told we had to order the entire queso appetizer to put the queso on our salad. :(
Waited an hour and a half for food. Food came out hot and good so no complaints
Booked a reservation for Sunday 11/22. Drove 35 minutes only to find out they are not open. UPDATE your website and show you are closed on Open Table
Awesome dinner and Margaritas! We felt very safe (Covid-wise) and enjoyed ourselves. They are doing a great job!
The food was amazing. We ate outside so I can’t really rate the ambiance. Would definitely return!
Great food and great service. We ate outside, and the street noise was a bit overwhelming at 6pm, but otherwise we love the atmosphere and WILL BE BACK!
A bit disappointing-attempted to order three different items off a limited menu to be told they were out on a Friday evening. Felt disorganized. What we ate was very good.
We love going to Urbano! It's always a great experience. Our server Meredith was wonderful and taught us old birds how to use air drop to share the picture of their menu. She was very attentive to us.
The only drawback that I have is one that I've experienced in the past regarding the lighting. It is very dark in the restaurant and old eyes have difficulties seeing in low light. But that won't keep us from coming back.
Good to see the precautions they are putting in place to continue to serve customers during Covid.
Wait staff was less than attentive. Wrong drink orders with no offer to correct or credit from bill. Felt very rushed at first and then minimal check back to see how we were doing. However, the food was great as always.
I’ve been going to urbano since they opened and this was not the experience that I’m used to. I had to sen
Overall the food was OK, however, the chicken in the nachos, the rice bowls and the quesadilla was substandard. It was mostly dark meat with bones, knuckles and other inedible pieces. Serving sizes are on the small size for what you pay. Disappointing.
First time here and we would go again. Good food, good service and nice ambiance.
We ate outside next to the loud traffic, so the ambiance was tough. The food was a little bland, compared to other Mexican food I’ve had.
Delicious! We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed a pitcher of margaritas and quesadillas. Then I left for the airport to fly back to OR. It was the perfect goodbye
Food was all cold ..even the soup .. no flavor
I've always loved this place, it's a fun addition to downtown. It was mildly busy, a few open tables outside while we ate. While I miss tableside mashing of the guac, it still has a better flavor than most I've found in the area. My margarita, as always, was awesome.
However I was rather disappointed this time with everything else. We rarely saw our server, and had to ask for napkins and more water after finishing our food because it was never offered. The carnitas in the tacos was also a lot more dry than expected, though good flavor.
I will be back, I just hope it's like my previous visits instead of this one.
Food was very good and I thought pricing was fair. Appetizer, multiple (alcoholic) beverages, entrees and ala carte sides for 2 was just under $75.00. Server seemed like she was spread a little thin, but she was friendly and knowledgeable. Decent amount of vegetarian options on menu. We will return.
Guac is delcious but for $17 and a table of 4 should have much more chips!
Food took forever to arrive at table, Apps and main dishes arrived together, food was cold, my wife ordered fish tacos and received pork tacos but it took over 25 minutes for the waiter to come and ask us if our food was ok. Waiter never refreshed drinks. Nothing was good enough to warrant another trip back there especially with all the other amazing restaurants on Main Street! Save yourself some time and go to Moes! There are more options and the food is way better!
Everything about our experience was amazing. The food was delicious will definitely eat here again and the service was just as great. Definitely recommend!
Had family in town and took them to our favorite place - it WAS our favorite place. We actually had a party of 8. Now we won’t be going back anytime soon. The food was terrible. The taco shells were rubbery and could not chew. The taco ingredients had no flavor. We asked about why and they told us that they are trying new product: We received 1/2 our meal and the other 1/2 didn’t come out for another 40 min. So we all ate at different times. The manager tried to be cool about all our issues by joking around. Our bill was $165 - he took off one meal and gave us a $25 gift card to come back. That was not enough for all our issues.
In addition to the three of us that dined at the restaurant there was another to go order placed before leaving. Two of four were dissatisfied with their meals. The crispy cod tacos were all breading - there was so little fish in the breading you could barely see it. The shells on the Carne Asada tacos were so hard by the time the meal got home they were inedible. The carnitas and shrimp tacos were very good. They were not serving their full menu due to Covid, which is totally understandable, however they were also out of items on their limited menu.
Great meal, lots of healthy, vegetarian options. Margaritas were sneaky strong and delicious
Our server wasn’t incredibly quick to check in but overall experience was great as usual!
Amazing Service & Great Management
Great food and outdoor dining. I just wish people would keep their masks on. We were seated outside and many folks walking around didn't have masks on.
Very good food, guacamole was brought out after our entrées didn’t really make sense but still had a great time.
What a great location! The food was perfect worth chicken that melts in your mouth and flan that left you with hint of sweetness to end our amazing meal!
Best salsa around! Great food and great service!
Food was good. Service was not. Have dined there many times and was very disappointed in our service.
Something has happened here since COVID. The service was deplorable and the food quality has diminished greatly. I understand restaurants are under a lot of pressure right now, but this is a very expensive restaurant - and I felt like we paid about 95% too much. This was supposed to be a special occasion for a close friends birthday - instead it was a tense meal that culminated into an argument with our server.
The icing on the proverbial cake was twofold. First, is that we complained to the manager on duty (who was quite friendly) and he never took the time to circle back with us. Second, in the chicken rice bowl one of our friends ordered was a very large bone, that frankly, he could’ve choked on. Fortunately he found it before taking the bite and set it on the table. It was left out in plain view - yet the manager nor the server acknowledged it. At the end of the night, the server just picked it up (after our argument) and didn’t even say a word about it. I am sorry to say that we will never return. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. I would strongly encourage any one reading this to spend their money elsewhere. You will very likely be disappointed- and it’s just too pricey to risk it.
Food was very good, as usual. Service is usually very good, but our waiter was a bit off.
Excellent meal, amazing margaritas! We were lucky to be there for Margarita Monday. Took full advantage of the $20 pitchers. Homemade guacamole was tasty and authentic. We enjoyed shrimp tacos and the mango y pepitas salad. Did I mention the margaritas? Server was attentive without rushing us, had no problem with us sitting and chatting between courses and after we were finished (nobody was waiting for the table.) We got 2 pitchers (I Love You margarita and Grapefruit Thyme Brown Sugar), appetizer, and 2 entrees for about $80. Will definitely return!
Wonderful food & drinks. Great service. Inside is a bit dark but it’s also very quiet. I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant.
