Verbena is a restaurant and bar located in the heart of W 6th Street occupying the street side ground level of the Canopy by Hilton hotel. The venue is comprised of a 36 seat bar and lounge, a 60 seat dining room with open kitchen, and wood-burning hearth, both which open to a lush open air courtyard. Delicious food and drink. Good variety for different diet needs. A bit noisy towards the end of our 6:30 dinner resy. Next time, we might sit outside on their beautiful patio if weather permits. Great and timely service by our waitress, Amber!

Had a great experience! Our food and drinks were delicious and very well prepared. The atmosphere was inviting, cozy, and elegant. Our server, Amber, was very attentive, kind, and soft-spoke . She made our experience very enjoyable! While there were some pretty pricey things on the menu, they do have options that are more affordable if you’re not looking to spend an arm and a leg yet still have an upscale dining experience. Would definitely go back!

The cocktails were amazing the bartender gave great insight to what we might enjoy. Service was outstanding,the perfect amount of attention and having space to enjoy our food and conversation uninterrupted, thank you Amber. Our meal was amazing. The flavor profiles in almost every dish tasted horrible. It was as though someone who has never been a chef designed the menu. It was like they had no experience using different spices to flavor things. The spices on each dish made no sense. I thought almost every single thing I ordered tasted horrible. Although the short rib was ok. I tried both the Cabernet and the Malbec by the glass, both tasted cheap. This was literally one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Austin. The service was fine and the ambiance was pretty.

The ambiance, location and service was excellent! Unfortunately, the food wasn’t worth the high prices in my opinion. It was just okay. Drinks were also just okay. Not sure I’d go back but I’m glad I gave it a shot.

Went to Verbena for my wife's birthday. Our server Craig was phenominal. He was pleasant, polite, professional, attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and made great recommendations based on our personal preferrences. We had the maple carrots and potato rosti for starters, and the crispy seared chicken and carbonara for mains. All were amazingly prepared, full of flavor, and easy on the eyes and pallette. Highly recommend. Will be back again!

I've got a recommendation from my colleague, a must stop in Verbena if you go to Austin, he is a trustable source so i decided to go with my wife for dinner, i can say, what an amazing time we had, beautiful place, nice vibes, great service and outstanding food!!! All flavors melting in your mouth so nicely, i can tell these guys are putting some great love in what they are doing and its reflected all they way, from design to presentation, top to bottom. Is it a must stop? Yes! We even went next morning for brunch, no brainer, you try those churro pancakes and thank me later! Looking forward to come back to Verbena.

We really enjoyed our Christmas dinner in the early evening at Verbena. Our waitress was amazing, so sweet and attentive. The food was excellent - easy to get in and out, made reservation online easily and there was no wait! Felt like a sweet old Austin experience in a way - maybe because we were downtown early at 5pm before the crowd. The kitchen is open and it was fun to watch the process unfolding . . .

The Verbena is good place to spend the evening! The staff is amazing and very helpful. The location is great. The food was good. I wish they had more options for vegetarians. My wife didn’t like one of the dishes ordered for dinner and the staff happily helped us get something else which was off the menu!! Awesome and accommodating !

The place is great and Austin, our server, was an all-star. Our group had an amazing time - he was attentive, proactive, and really funny. And the food was delicious. Despite being in a hotel, it’s got a good vibe (especially the outside).

The cheese bread was the only decent thing I ordered. The salad was NOT a salad; simply an avocado with cucumber shavings. Service was pretty slow as well. Went for a 2pm birthday lunch. Will not be returning. Food over priced for the amount. Wouldn't recommend.

Really enjoyed the restaurant, food was good and good service. The only issue I have was how loud the servers, kitchen staff and managers were. We were at a table close ish to the kitchen. The staff would hang out and talk, kitchen staff would talk and the managers were talking and playing around. We’ve sat Ny the kitchen at many restaurants and actually enjoy it. This was not enjoyable.

Our meal was incredible!!! The service was especially outstanding. Our waiter’s name was Austin and he provided honest suggestions and recommendations. Service was fast and knowledgeable. I would definitely come back again. Portions were large for a swanky establishment. Prices were also fair.
