Volare is a small neighbourhood aperitivo bar that will whisk you away from Maylands, to the great coastal cities of Europe. Think Sardinia, Marseille, Amalfi, and Valencia - and all the delectable drinks and dishes in between. Enjoy modern Italian bites next to world class aperitivo and digestivo cocktails, eclectic amaro and a deliciously varied wine list.     We got the $70pp menu and don’t feel like it was worth it. Next time I will order just off the menu myself. I did like that I tried things that I wouldn’t of normally ordered - eg. the mussel pancake. Which was delish.

    We went for a late lunch/early dinner and tried the special taster. Service was great, food adventurous and tasty and the drinks flowed. Great spot for an intimate get together watching the sun set and listening to great music. Thanks guys!

    What an incredible venue. From the food, to the cocktail, and of course to amazing staff. Went to their valentines event and we could not have had a better time. Initially I was sceptical because of the price, but it was worth every single dollar. The event was a set 4 course menu with a paired cocktail. I wasn't a fan on the 3rd cocktail, which is fair, you can't like them all. The bar tender asked me my opinion on it, I said I wasn't a fan but its fine, can't expect to like them all. He took it away from me, asked me what I like, and made me a cocktail to replace it. If that isn't 5 star service then I don't what is. Food, 12/10. Absolutely incredible. There was very clear attention to detail in flavours, pairing and plating. Do I recommend this place? Obsolutely!

    Did the chefs choice ($85pp). Although, individually, the food was very tasty, overall too expensive for what we had. If it wasn’t for the bread in two of the dishes, I would have still been hungry. But I didn’t pay $85 for bread. No greens, veg or salad. The main of “Nona’s Ragu” was very underwhelming. A ladle of ragu with some torn up bread. It needed more. Service and engagement by staff ordinary. The cocktails and feel of the interior where excellent though and perhaps this is where it’s at for Volare

    The menu at Swallow was outstanding so we were hoping it would be on a level with that but were disappointed by the lack of menu choices and uninspiring main courses

    So glad we booked a Chefs Choice celebratory dinner at this understated petite place that blew us away with the exciting food. Luca (chef) is so talented with an offering of superior quality ingredients with extraordinary flavours. Maître D/ Sommelier has a commendable knowledge of wine which complemented every one of the 6 courses. A stand out has to be the salted cod (who would have thought?) and the beef carpaccio which has a delicate addition of tuna for a powerful taste sensation. Service was really good, we left thinking we would definitely be back! Highly recommended.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the food as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. For a special occasion, we would highly recommend the venue and the meal. The pairing of the wines / drinks was excellent. The food was fantastic but make sure you don't eat too much during the day to best savour the meal, as you can't take anything home with you.

    We went to Volare for a meet the winemaker night with Swan Valley Wines. Food was a plant based menu and was delicious, paired well with the wines. Definitely keep an eye out for the next one.

    Staff were awesome-helpful,professional and friendly. Food was fantasic too. We sat in the small couryard- great for our group of four. Also perfect for a date nite too. Well done to the crew who looked after us.

    Some of the best food we have had for a long time (and we dine out a lot) - interesting flavours and textures - you can tell a lot of love goes into the dishes. And fabulous friendly welcoming staff who make you feel as though you are at home - just enough attention but not too much. Always an exceptional evening at Volare.

    the visit was marred by the extremely noisy people at the next table who shrieked non stop over the whole time we were there. I suggest you implement a noise control approach where people are required to converse at a normal volume. The idea of a quiet relaxing ambience in which to enjoy good food, wine and chat seems to have gone.
