Food was below average. You're better off spending your money at Vue de monde (legit). Don't bother trying this place. Was so underwhelming. Not worth the price at all.

From the second you are greeted by the excellent staff to when you leave Warabi is an experience that you will love. The wait staff, chef and Beverage manager are all the very highest quality and their knowledge and customer service experience is first class. You are made to feel welcome and special and the interaction between the staff and customers is exceptional . The food was sublime and the drinks recommended were paired perfectly . Having eaten in many fine dining restaurants across the Globe Warabi can hold its own with any of them

Amazing experience - the service and food was unbelievable. The staff were all extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. I did a sake pairing and my partner got the matcha cocktail and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We unfortunately did not get the name of the chef who was in front of us, however him and the barman were fantastic. Would definitely recommend, it was a great experience.

A fantastic experience! The dishes were thoughtfully planned, executed and plated with the highest attention to detail. Every dish was absolutely incredible. You also have the opportunity to add on additional dishes throughout the meal which was great! We also did the Sake matching which is highly recommended. One of my favourite meals in Melbourne. Definitely recommended!

One of the Asian managers was not very willing to take pictures and gave us a bit of an attitude, he looked at his watch when I asked him to take pictures as if I’m taking up his time, what kind of fine dining restaurant does this, bit of a joke of a staff

The dining experience was impressive. The food quality is premium. From the dining experience, I could feel that chef's team had spent a lot of time making unique and yummy dishes. Besides, the price of liquor is around 15, which is a decent level. I have already recommended you to my food lover friends.

Warabi last night. Stunningly authentic Omakase! Each of the 9 dishes were thoughtfully planned, executed and plated with the attention to detail only the Japanese can do. Have had the same in Tokyo, Kobe and Osaka and this meal was just as faultless as them. Highly recommended esp for special occasion! 5/5 stars

I made a reservation for 4, 3 of my friends could not make it as they had to fly back to Asia due to a family emergency. They insisted I pay for all 4. I can understand this. I offered to pay the eq amount and asked if I could have sake instead of four portions as I cant eat it all!, they said no. I was charged 4x the tasting menu for a single meal. not an even a discount was given for the uneaten portions. So be careful when you book! As bitter as it was to swallow, my rating has nothing to do with the 4 x cost however, I give them A for effort, however, being very familiar with high quality Sushi and Japanese food in Tokyo, I find that quality of the ingredients were just not at par for a top end Omakase restaurant. The staff were excellent and the chef as a creative young chap. the mixologist was amazing. Would I go back? no. Melbourne has excellent Chinese cuisine.. I was expecting to be wowed. but was disappointed.

Excellent authentic Japanese cuisine. Exquisitely prepared and presented. Quality of ingredients was first class. Pairing of sake was imaginative and appropriate!! Last time I had a similar experience was in a Michelin star restaurant in Osaka.
