    Absolutely dissatisfying. Photos made it look like an elegant outdoor venue. We were told we could not eat outside and we’re instead seated in the bar. Under a huge tv. Men in tank tops and hats were the only other patrons. Will never go back!

    I had a turkey club. Large impressive sandwich. Great fries. Asked for the bread to be toasted. It wasn’t. The turkey was the slimy processed packaged stuff instead of real sliced turkey. Why? I’ve eaten there several times because of the ambiance. The good is generally bad. After one experience people won’t come back. The place should be packed. Hyatt should do a complete food review, change and improve the menu (a lot). Then advertise the heck out of the place. I can’t imagine with good cooking you wouldn’t pack them in. I hope so. I would love to make The Waters Edge our main casual dining place.

    A guy had an attack right next to us,someone was on the balcony threw water and it got on our table, but very nice scenery took a lot of pictures, and food was good.

    The rice was a little bland and the refried beans looked like they were from a can. Maybe next time they can make whole pinto beans. That would be more traditional to Mexican cuisine. The tacos were good, loved the many topping options, dessert was yummy, dj was awesome and the staff was amazing.

    This was the second brunch we had after we discovered the restaurant has brunch for holidays (Mothers Day). As was true the first time, this is the best brunch in the Western suburbs of Chicago by far. Keep up the good work and we will be back.

    We went for Mother’s Day and the quality of food was bland with a high price. The omelette chef didn’t know how to make omelettes. The French toast was rock hard and the taste of the food wasn’t anything to write home about. The only thing that was good was the prime rib. I however, if you do not like prime rib then you’re out of luck. I’ve gone to my fair share of Mother’s Day brunches and I can honestly say I won’t be going back

    Love the staff here, especially Luis and Gio. Great service, wish the menu had more choices though. Big convention with tons of people in the bar and restaurant so noise could not be controlled.

    The setting was very nice, and plenty of options of food. However, the food was not exceptional. The pastas were dry, the main dishes (salmon, chicken and beef) were overdone/overcooked and tough to chew. The selection of desert options limited. The live music was a nice choice for the setting, but too loud and overpowering. The staff worked very hard but seemed short-staffed. Our server wasn't able to get to our table very often. For the price, I expected more on Easter from this hotel. I recommend skipping the brunch in the future and get a good steak dinner elsewhere.

    A pale comparison to pre pandemic Easter Brunches here. With an increase in price, we expected the same quality holiday brunch, but we’re offered fare and atmosphere barely worth 1/3 the price. No centerpieces, no greeting at table or buffet instructions, hunted down a server for drinks multiple times, limited food offerings (compared to past years) cold overcooked entrees, frozen waffles, burned cookies, tough meats, and serving staff were complacent…. all with a 3 piece ensemble blaring with drum set (not just a piano) making conversation impossible. Very disappointed and will make other holiday arrangements next year.

    Waiter was wonderful as was the bartender. Food was average, wait was long and drinks expensive. I knew visit would be pricey from reviews. But my daughter and I had a wonderful time having cocktails and talking. We were spending a Christmas gift certificate. I finally allowed my two grandchildren to run around in and out of the area as all the other children were.

    The Waters Edge was actually the Hearth Lounge. We sat at a table overlooking scenic Fred Lake. It was a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The menu ranges from casual fare to seafood and steaks. Luis, our server, was extremely knowledgeable, gracious, and hospitable. Our choices for entrees were the shrimp tacos with rice and the Barramundi with an assortment of baby vegetables. The dishes were beautifully plated and our meal was sumptuous. It was a lovely evening.

    Overpriced. Food very, very greasy. Eggs tasted strange, not even like eggs. Sausage good. Toast good. Asparagus and peppers and onions good but super greasy. Coffee okay. Sitting out on the balcony was very nice. Would not eat breakfast there again unless massive improvement.

    No reservations were needed. This actually is counter service with self serve drinks. They then bring your order to your table. The bathrooms also are located very far from the restaurant entrance which was a challenge for our elderly parent.

    I was very disappointed when we received HASH BROWNS with our breakfast entrees when the menu clearly states that the “COMFORT “ entrees are “served with HOME FRIED POTATOES.” The entrees are not worth the value without them.

    Water’s Edge Restaurant in the Hyatt Lodge Hotel is closed for dinner and must eat in the hotel bar area. There was a wedding going on at the hotel so we had to compete with wedding guests for service although drinks and appetizers were being served outside. If you are staying at the hotel I recommend going somewhere else to eat. Very disappointed.

    We were able to book a dinner reservation and drove to the restaurant. Turns out it doesn't have dinner hours! The restaurant was closed, and we had to go elsewhere.

    I made reservation for 7 for 5pm after King & I at Drury Lane only to find out that Waters Edge closes at 2:30 pm daily!! Found a venue to accommodate us last minute ...what happened??

    No valet parking and parking lot was not real close. No signs indicating where the brunch was . Food selection was very limited and the choices were very unusual combinations. Wait staff did not remove used plates from table unless you asked them to. A small offering of desserts were brought to your table as you were handed your check.
