We had an enjoyable evening on the backporch over the water. Dinner was excellent right down to banana foster desert. I had the coconut crusted red snapper. Delicious. I tasted the blackened redfish and it was fabulous as well. Very competent and amiable waitress as well. We didnt know what to expect walking in that night and were pleasantly surprised how nice everything turned out we will go again

Whiskey joes is a favorite of our had a great waiter Chris very personable had fried calamari they add fried peppers in it very tasty. We both had firecracker shrimp tacos they were packed with shrimp very good flavor one of our go to dinners. Then Chris recomended a new desert banana foster bread pudding we didn’t need it but omg it was rediculous. Probably one of the best deserts I’ve ever had. It wasn’t to sweet had vanilla ice cream on it we recomend you try it at least once. Thanks Chris

It’s a very nice restaurant, located beside the entrance to river. You can sit inside or outside. Very nice atmosphere. But the food reminds me of a worker’s canteen back in the 90’s. A lot of food thrown on a plate.

On Mother's Day afternoon, the restaurant was extremely busy. As a party of 10, we expected that dishes were going to come out of the kitchen slowly. We ordered 6 appetizers (2 firecracker shrimp, wings, crab dip, coconut shrimp, gator bites). The apps trickled out slowly and we ended up canceling one firecracker shrimp because it never showed up. The apps that made it to our table were very, very flavorful. Our mains were for the most part, very good as well. The grouper, redfish, fried shrimp were excellent. The only issues we had were with the fish tacos and the burger that were cold on arrival and the fish was dried out. The desserts, especially the pineapple upside down cake were perfect! Staff was excellent and very apologetic for the slow food times. Manager came to the table to apologized as well. I consider this experience a one-off from our normally great experiences with WJ's.

Nice atmosphere! Service lacking. Coconut shrimp nearly burnt; clam chowder had a great flavor but was the consistency of stew. Fries were cold when served. Lobster and jumbalya was great. There was 6 in our party.
