   Everything we ordered was superb. The brussels sprouts were mouthwatering and truly yummy. The Caesar Salad with salmon was so good. (How'd you grill your salmon so yummy and moist like that?) The Creme Brule for dessert was fresh and delicious. Also, we had a friendly, attentive waitress, which helped make the visit fun. We were very, very pleased with everything. Thank you, White Dog Cafe in Haverford!

   We absolutely love this restaurant. I actually drive an hour to and from my house just to attend our meetings there because it’s a “feel good” place for you soul and stomach.

    White Dog is one of my favorites. Food is always consistent and delicious. Clearly our waiter/the bartender was not having his best day. Interactions less than friendly at best.

    Very unique place that stays true to its theme. The cocktails were excellent and had a wide variety of options to choose from. We had the banana bread and it was to die for. The burger and fried chicken sandwich was excellent. Would recommend to anyone thinking about going here for brunch.

    Our server, Jazzie was excellent. Loved the ambience- decor, background music, etc. However, although I do eat out a lot, $20. for a class of cabernet was way too expensive! The ravioli were great,, but I should have asked for the price of the cab. I thought I had asked for the house- I guess I misunderstood. All in all, it was a nice place to dine! Barb Higgins

    We have enjoyed coming to White Dog in Haverford. Love the decor. Good food. But this last time it was sooo noisy that all at our table of 7 (back room) had trouble conversing. It was a surprisingly negative experience in a place we truly love..

    Great mushroom soup and tuna tartare as always. Caesar salad was ok but nothing special - dressing not plentiful or that good. Service pleasant but spotty- brought over wrong tuna dish before correction to proper one. Price a bit high for most dishes. Nice bright room ( middle room).

    My husband and I went to White Dog Cafe after hearing a lot of positive things over the 10 years we've lived in the area. I'm sorry it did not live up to the hype. The service and food were underwhelming though overall a nice exeprience. We were seated in a booth at the bar. The cocktails and appetizer were brought out in a timely manner, both quite delicious. We realized after waiting a very long time for our main courses that our waiter was not only the waiter for every table in the bar area but appeared to be the bartender as well. For this reason, I do not blame the waiter for our less-than-great service but rather management for understaffing. There were two hostesses and plenty of people walking around. It would have been nice if our waters were filled without having to ask. I got two appetizers as my main entree and both did not live up to their titles. The mole chile, while tasty, did not have the depth of flavor I expect from mole. I didn't detect any mole flavoring actually. The general tso's cauliflower was nicely cooked and tasty but did not have the signature kick of the familiar general tso's flavor. My husband's juevos rancheros looked lovely and tasked fine but, again, did not deliver on the depth of flavor. Overall, the experience was good and we'll try it again.

    I've Been To All The White Dogs, But This Is The Closest! The menus are fairly uniform since WDC branched out beyond University City into the Wayne and Haverford locations. Still not sure why those two are so close together, but they have distinct enough differences in square footage and ambience that it's like going to a different restaurant. The prices are what you'd expect for the Main Line, and on certain complex dishes that's fine. But on boilerplate menu items like soups and salads, there's not enough to differentiate them from menu items at other comparable places to warrant the massive markup. But as I love oysters and there are so few to be found on the Eastern Main Line, I'll continue to go back!

    Our server was amazing! She paid just the right amount of attention to us. The hot items came out hot and the cold items were cold. The food was very flavorful. An all around wonderful dining experience.

    Broccoli Rabe was very spicy - too much so - sent back Replaced with brussel sprouts - very good strip steak was not tender but had good flavor cheesecake very good Cobb salad very good except grilled chicken was over cooked Service and staff very good

    Warm and cozy scrumptious dinner tucked into a booth by the bar. Family time together with our son catching up and enjoying each other and homemade ravioli, burger, beet salad, filet, fries and some desserts! And the Unconditional Pinot noir!     Nick, one of our servers, was great! He gave us awesome recommendations. Everyone enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The second server who brought out our entrees was a bit rough. Instead of placing my cousin’s dish in front of him, she pushed it in my face. I didn’t want to argue about it but a few of my other cousins found it rude and didn’t appreciate when the plate was pushed to my face.

    Pear salad was served on a heap of arugula rather than baby greens as stated on the menu. I asked for the dressing on the side and got a container of plain olive oil. Blue cheese on cheese plate was 90% rind and grapes were unwashed. Server never checked in on us after the food arrived and we had to chase down the hostess to get our bill. We used to love coming here but the service and food quality have significantly deteriorated.

    We were rushed. I know it was NYE, but the cheeseboard came with my salad. Dinner was dropped off too soon. Sent it back to be held until I was ready. The 3.25% extra for using a credit card irks me. Do better.
