   They are clearly understaffed, and poorly operated to host the patrons that were there. They were very busy and could not handle the number of people and online orders that were coming in. People were sat wherever a table was available, even if the table wasn’t wiped down properly. We got some of the food before we even got cutlery, and after asking several times we had to use our knives as spoon and forks. Some of the cutlery was not even clean. Most of my party got their food, and folks that came after us go their food. I had to wait about and hour to get my food, by that time the rest were ready to leave. I had to eat the food by myself. Having said that the food was really tasty.

   The food is so fresh and tasty, presented beautifully all the time. The owner is the main server and is gregarious and knowledgeable and part of what makes it such a special place. The Dining room feels like you’re in his living room, which you kind of are. We love it and have been going more often, and I want to try new things as we do. I always get the Mezze to start since it’s too delicious to skip.

   Very much enjoyed the food. Owner takes pride in the menu. Had the Mezze platter, chicken couscous and lamb tajine - all were very good. Mint tea was delicious. Would recommend for a leisurely casual dinner. Service isn’t quick but shouldn’t deter. I will definitely eat here again.

   Wonderful experience! Restaurant is family owned and run. High quality food is obviously made with love. Mezze, Moroccan mint tea, vegetable and chicken kabobs, and baklava were all superb. Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, and balanced flavors. Friendly and welcoming service.

   I took my husband here for his birthday not sure exactly what to expect and, wow, were we blown away! Everything was fantastic from the mint tea, to the Mezze, to the Tajine, lamb chops, chicken kabobs, etc. And the baklava is really out of this universe. Thanks, White House Tajine for making my husband's birthday special (and delicious!). p.s. the birthday entertainment was such a pleasant surprise :)

   White House Tajine was a lively surprise! My daughter, son and I took dad out for his birthday and we were welcomed warmly and seated promptly in a beautifully decorated small Moroccan restaurant. We ate the recommendations by our host and enjoyed every minute if the freshly made food! We started with a salad abd spanakopita sampler and fresh juices and Moroccan mint tea and moved into the hottest and exquisitely delicious Chicken and Lamb tajine. We followed that with fresh hot vegetable soup and freshly made bread. 5 stars for this fresh delicious friendly place - we will most definitely be back!!

    This has become my new favorite restaurant on the Mainline. The food is authentically and deliciously prepared. The lamb couscous and chicken tajine are my favorites. Don’t pass up the mint tea and backlava. The service is expedient and friendly.

    An intimate experience, my boyfriend and I felt as if we were one of the family. And why not, when you feel as if your own mother is cooking for you. With no exaggeration, it may have been the best meal I've ever had.

    Lovely small Moroccan restaurant. All of the food was made as we waited. Fun to speak with the gentleman who served us and also said he cooked. The flavors were authentic, as was the atmosphere. We hope it does well.

    The best hummus we’ve ever had, and we’ve had a lot. And make it ourselves. Incredible tajine. The best baklava in the world. We are rarely astonished by how good a restaurant’s food is. This place is astonishingly good.

    Fantastic! Everything made-to-order. Came on a Wednesday night, sat outside and owner served us personally. 2 person mezze (zaalouk was the best) and kefta tajine was perfect for 2 ppl. And the best baklava around for dessert

    I came alone for an early lunch and got outside seating. It was nice and quiet aside from the traffic which can't be helped. Parking can be hard to find as there is construction going on right near the restaurant that causes traffic buildup at the time of reviewing (6/24/22). Mohammed was kind enough to pay my parking meter fee, this was already above and beyond service-wise and I hadn't even ordered yet. The food was delicious, I got the lamb kebabs which came with rice and salad. I also got the recommended soup that I cannot recall the name of. Everything was clearly home-made, and tasted fantastic. It did take a while for the food to arrive, but that is to be expected when things are made fresh. The baklava is a must–a small dessert that ends the meal on a light note after all of that meat. I haven't had quality lamb in a while, so I have to give this place a 10/10.

    This restaurant was new to us. We picked it based on the very positive reviews so many people had left. Our experience was extremely slow service, half an hour to get a menu. We finally asked for water and they gave us each an unopened bottle. Our entrée arrived another hour later. Ambiance was provided by music apparently playing from a large flatscreen TV located in a wall niche. Above the niche was a roll up security screen. Why was it there? Flies flew around near the front window. Something had dripped on the wall. The food was quite good but could not make up for our overall experience. If you go, try to sit outside.

    Lunch was a great introduction to Moroccan food for my son and aunt! Food was excellent and reflected the family recipes and personal pride of all who worked there. Service was attentive but leisurely so a great way to spend several hours visiting and enjoying the meal. Baklava and Falafel were outstanding!

    Good food. Good service. Family owned and operated place - very attentive. Everything is Freshly prepared. Great flavors. Service was on the slower side - but all the tables were packed - but we were not in a hurry luckily. We enjoyed the meze and the kebabs more than the tagine surprisingly. Mint tea was fantastic. Pizza and sandwiches looked nice too but didn’t get to try them this time.

    Absolute worst dining experience ever. We had a reservation at 7 o’clock, arrived at 7:05 to find the downstairs completely booked. They took us upstairs which was clearly someone’s apartment. We were seated and not helped until 7:49 PM. We then ordered appetizers. About 20 minutes later we ordered our meals. By 8:45 PM no food had arrived. I went downstairs to ask where our food was and they had not even started it yet. At this time the downstairs was completely empty and it look like they were just trying to clean up. The man who run s the restaurant got in an argument with me and walked out of the restaurant. We were so upset and hungry we got up and left. The chef came to the street to apologize to us but at this time the damage was done. I would never go back there or recommend anyone goes back there ever.

    A wonderful, charming place. Food is very good and the service is caring. However, a little better organization would help. But the passion in the preparation of the food is worth the wait. Best baklava I can remember.

    The hosts are overbooked. We arrived and they did not know when we would be seated. We were offered a small table with a bench seat and no chair. Service was VERY slow and half hearted. Food was ok —we were warned the food would be slow but it was very delayed so we ended up leaving after 1.5 hours having had a small appetizer. Servings for the appetizer was very small and looked scooped out. High prices for serving size

    My family and I went for a nice Easter lunch and, despite their staff being short that day, everything came out without a long wait, fresh and delicious. We felt very welcome there and would have loved to have stayed longer. We will certainly be back soon!!

    The food here is fresh and perfectly flavored and the portions are generous. This restaurant will be very successful because of the exceptional quality of the food. However, I think they will need to enlarge their staff, hire more waiters, and increase their space very soon to handle the demand. We can't wait to return.

    I had booked table for 5 on this open table website and the reservation as for 7.30 pm. Since I was running late by 10 mins I had called the restaurant around 6.50 and informed that I will be there by 7.40 pm. We are reached the restaurant by that time and found that it was packed and they said they will arrange a table for me in the upper level. When we went up there again it was packed and the staff said he will rearrange the three seaters which was placed as waiting area for our sitting. We hesitated but he said you would not want to miss the good food and since we had traveled for 45 mins to reach here. They placed a small round table since they could not find any other table. It was 8 pm by then and we placed our orders. A few mins later the plates and accessories were placed. We then kept waiting for the food to arrive and about 50 mins went away. We were again offered a table in the lower level and we moved down. I checked with the staff if my food was ready and he said it will come soon. We waited till about 9.10 pm to get our starters. The rest of the order then followed. Again when we placed an order for a chocolate soufflé it was a long wait to get it. The staff mentioned in between that there was some issue with the OpenTable website and they were over booked. Overall it was a poor experience though I had gone expecting a lot more.

    Our dinner at White House Tajine was outstanding! Our host, Mohammed, made us feel at home. I’m part of a dinner group and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Seating is intimate but it was we thought that was a plus. Highly recommended.

    We did not only eat great homemade Maroccan food in an authentic ambiance with friends but also learned about Marocco and Maroccan music from the owner/chef. He helped us pick out some good representative foods. It was a great experience.

    Really small place so it feels like you are next to everyone else so maybe not ideal for a romantic first date but otherwise a fun atmosphere. Food is amazing and the owner is very social and helpful.
