Too many woodburning stoves with too much smoke. The tents and smoke pretty much ruined the ambience of sitting outside. The menu options were unnecessarily complicated. During this time of limited staff and ingredients, just keep it simple with food that will fill people up. The food and drinks we had were good but we just left early because we spent 200$ and were still super hungry and sick of the smoke. We went home, made dinner, and washed our clothes because they stunk like smoke.
Great job making us feel special on our anniversary.
I took my girlfriend here for a lovely dinner and all was well until she got sick instantly from a peanut allergy. The menu failed to state that any food contained peanuts. We ordered two items that no one would even think about having peanuts as the ingredients, however they both had peanuts. I think for a nice venue such as this place, they should list the foods that contain allergens especially for peanuts. The manager also didn’t know how to handle the situation, and we were quite shocked.
Miss the whole menu! Wasn’t a lot of food choices
Dined there Sunday for brunch, outdoor seating available only at this time which was fine for me since I have no interest in dining indoors at this time. Servers were friendly and explained contact less payment. Brunch options were many, it starts with a refreshing watermelon juice , bread/ muffin tray and ends with fruit and sorbet. I had the crab cakes eggs . Benedict. Delish!!
A safe and comforting experience. I thought I was going to get a "compromised" version of the Woodberry experience eating outdoors but it was even better than eating in the dining room. The smell of smoke from the communal fire, everyone wearing masks and being respectful, staff being friendly but also giving diners their space - the whole experience was flawless. As was the food. Anthony Bourdain repeatedly states the hallmark of a good resto is how good their chicken is: the cast iron chicken was flawless. As was the wine we had with it. And the bread. And the corn basil soup. The only downside (and I've experienced this many times with Woodberry), is that our reservation was for 9:45 and we got seated at 10:15 PM. Minor downside to an overwhelmingly wonderful experience.
Food was fantastic as always.
Service was friendly and attentive even with a wedding reception that night.
Appreciate the efforts staff took to make us feel comfortable and safe.
I'm blown away by how great an experience we had for Sunday brunch. Fantastic food, great live music, and they went above and beyond to make us feel safe during Covid. My only suggestion is that they add the information about the pre fixe menu for brunch to the website, since it's a bit pricey without knowing that that was our only option. If you want a bit of a more indulgent brunch, though, we had a fantastic experience!
Fantastic meal with excellent staff. Highly recommend. Great covid protocol.
I must say that I am very impressed with Woodberry's approach to opening and adapting to an entirely different world post-COVID19. The staff is professional, the single-use menus are a great idea, the different water bottles at the table for guests to use is creative as well. More importantly, the quality of the food and service has not changed, and that's what has kept us returning to Woodberry year after year.
Probably one of the best dining experiences we have had in years. I asked for Jay and asked that he make it special for a birthday celebration. He made it over the top perfect. The hostess was so professional and lovely. The young man who brought our drinks was polite and helpful. Terrific experience! Thank you
Great experience dining outdoors at Woodberry Kitchen ! Tables were well-spaced and everything was subtly tweaked to be Covid-safe without detracting from the dinner experience. Food was excellent, as were the drinks and service. A+++!!!
a dreamy location and atmosphere with outstanding service and attention to detail.
Great food and service! It was pouring rain, but that didn’t stop anything!
WK is one of our all time fav's. On this visit, the service was EXTREMELY slow. The chicken was underdone. Everything seemed to be in slo-mo. Not our best visit. We will try again.
We had a lovely evening. Food was delicious and the service was great.
Lovely atmosphere, good food, polite service but forgetful about extras we needed, like silverware, and needed reminders about drinks- although apologetic.
Brunch was excellent .
The breakfast pizza lacked seasoning. The pastries were delicious. The mimosa could have been stronger on the alcohol. Customer service was great. Important to note that you need to raise the green flag to notify your server that you are ready to order.
Wonderful experience, as usual!
Jay was great!
Food and service were generally good although they haven't been switching up the menu as they used to. Also menu selections have been drastically reduced. I mention this because they charged extra fees for the outdoor accomodations and COVID related impact, and I don't feel its fair to pass this cost onto their customers when they should be grateful to be open and getting regular business. Pretty disappointed by that.
Our very lovely evening was capped with meeting our children and grandchild for post dinner jazz guitar and after dinner coffee. The setting was quite nice except for one disconcerting situation.
All the adults on site were wearing face masks except of course when eating;
But there was a group of young people - maskless and milling around right by the entrance
listening to the music - they brought their own booze and were having a great time
except it was very dis comforting to have to walk past them to exit or enter
Even though the entrance sign asked anyone not seated to wear a mask , management did not do anything about this. Makes us less likely to return.
We came for brunch recently. The staff very graciously guided us to a parking space just a few feet from our table, which made things very easy for the centenarians in a wheelchair and with a walker. We were under an umbrella that protected us from the strong sunlight, and we were away from other tables, giving us quiet, security and safety so necessary during the Covid pandemic. We loved the leisurely pace of watermelon juice with salted rims a la alcohol-free margaritas, followed by a lovely board of pastries, and a very exciting and diverse course of entrees. My smoked trout on toast was absolutely sumptuous. The twenty-something, and the very mature palattes were all thrilled. Not least of all by a final course of fruit and sorbet.
Excellent safety measures and mask adherence. We felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed our brunch .
Food is always amazing and the staff is very educational about the menu
They have a great outdoor setup for social distancing!
Incredible experience overall The food, ambience and service were top notch. Can’t recommend more highly!!
The staff was top notch and very friendly. They were attentive and courteous. The food was delectable and perfect for sharing. It had been a while since we had been to Woodberry Kitchen but will certainly be back again soon!
A perfect night. Took my girlfriend out for her birthday here and everything from the initial hostess greeting, drinks at the bar, the servers, the food, the atmosphere was perfect. New favorite Baltimore restaurant. The food is pricey but we'll worth it for the experience. Will be back and hopefully soon
Amazing. Consistent. Nice adaptations for COVID.
Awesome time with the outdoor experience! Everything was done really safely! And, of course, the food was excellent!
Superb outdoor dining experience at Woodberry Kitchen. Service was timely, knowledgeable, yet unobtrusive. Standout dishes included both the tomato salad and clam toast appetizer, and particularly the main course, the "Don Taco" with pork shoulder. It was a true stand-out dish, and more than large enough to share. Atmosphere was great, aided by the rare (these days) pleasure of hearing live music from Baltimore folk-singer extraordinaire, Caleb Stine. Large umbrellas over tables, and plenty of space between them made this a worry-free evening, no matter the weather.
Also wanted to call out the excellent responsiveness from Rita, who helped out with a reservation mix-up (caused by me)! reservation.
Extensive and creative drink menu. My only suggested improvement would be to please introduce a few additional wines at or below the $50 price point--there are plenty of excellent options available. Can't wait to return!
Great food and good time!
At first we were disappointed in the limited entree selections, but chose the pork belly tacos along with the peppers and mexican corn side dishes. This ended up being one of the most delicious meals my husband and I have had at Woodberry Kitchen. Absolutely a fantastic meal.
Awesome food! Awesome service! Awesome experience. I live in DC but travel to Baltimore simply to go to this restaurant at least 3x a year.
Such good COVID precautions
Lovely set up for outdoor dining. We felt very comfortable as their Covid precautions are fantastic! Really enjoyed our brunch!
Everything was delicious, no complaint with the food at all. It is pricey, but knowing that its fresh food, it's understandable. & it was for our anniversary so we were okay with splurging a little. I love the food to table concept. Only negative (not even fully) experience I had was something very small that's not worth explaining on the review. It wouldn't keep me from going again. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back once the full menu is out again.
