Wooloomooloo Steakhouse Singapore
The restaurant also features an open kitchen to provide dramatic flair to elevate any meal out and an aboriginal dot-painting mural to pay tribute to Australian culture.
Handcut steak tartare, served with capers, shallots, horseradish, gherkins, chives, spring onion, sour cream & avruga caviar
French Onion Soup
Served with French baguette crouton & Gruyre cheese
Was really looking forward to visiting the Singapore branch. Service was lacklustre with little knowledge of the steaks. Food was delicious and ambience good. The staff could have been smarter about where they sat us as the restaurant at the back wasn’t so busy but sat us right next to another couple when there was better space elsewhere. Just ok.
The food was absolutely stunning! My favorite was the cauliflower soup!
Beautiful ambience, lovely music. The starters were lovely. Steak was cooked well. However, not a big fan of the steak sauce or how the fusion Chinese styled stir fried long beans felt against the steak. Also felt that the steak shouldn't have been resting on the sweet potato mash as well as it spoilt the flavour of the steak.
I actually booked stating amex, I wasn't told that amex had a separate menu despite them calling me to confirm my reservation and that I'm using amex.
Food was good though.
The set lunch is really good value and the food is excellent. Compliments to the chef! The only drawbacks were that service was a tad slow due to the number of tables seated, and noise level is quite high so it is not easy to have a conversation. Perhaps management could consider adding some soft furnishing or fixtures (carpet or curtains?) to help absorb the noise so diners would be more comfortable.
we were very happy that they had a set meal for dinner.
It was prised by friends but just not for me. I would go somewhere else for if same price tag.
The lunch set serves good portioning. The snapper was fresh and so was the salad.
It's service is professional, polite and accommodating as i've asked to wait 15mins between each course.
I look forward to my next visit.
My steak was overcooked even I ordered a medium. However the manager, Felix was very helpful and attentive to help us to change the steaks to Medium. Overall, is a enjoyable meal for us.
The food was very nice and Service by Rao was fantastic. He was very friendly and made sure we were fine and enjoying our dinner. Nice gesture from them for my husband's birthday.
Service was bad by a steakhouse standard e.g. made a simple request to half the steaks for sharing purpose - not done.
Wellington was decent but the australian ribeye was awesome - as good as what I will get astons or collins.
Visited this resturant at least 5 times before and this is my worst visit.
Do no recommend.
Very nice environment and ambience for us to enjoy our birthday dinner there. The staffs provided outstanding service to us . Unexpected mini birthday cake surprised us . We will introduce to our friend surely.
Service was extremely slow. Waited for someone to take my order took 20mins. Food to service took forever. It felt like a hawker centre with a super high price tag. Extremely rowdy and loud place. Super expensive for such service and Low quality of food
Good value set lunch, - delicious burger ! Nice ambience with view of Padang and Cathedral . Restaurant was busy, but service was quite attentive.
Mediocre steak for a lot of money. Friendly and helpful service.
The service was way better last time. The person at the door was not very friendly. And did not greet us, unlike previous occasions. But I had no issue with other Waiters and Waitresses inside the restaurant. They were nice and friendly. It’s not a big deal , as I have been there many times and I know this is unusual. But I think the host or hostess at the door is the first person we see so he or she plays an important role. Especially for first time diners.
The service is of this establishment is not on par with its 5 star hotel venue and the pricetag. The staff in the Hong Kong location is much more attentive and professional.
- the waiter was unable to provide meaningful recommendations
- wine ordered during the course of the dinner took more than 20mins and couple of reminders to bring to the table, in the end came AFTER we finished the main course with no acknowledgment of the fact that something went wrong
- we had to ask every single time for water to be refilled instead of this being done automatically
The only upside was the hostess who took us to the table and remembered my name when leaving the restaurant
The lighting at some tables were quite dim especially at the centre so may feel a bit inconvenience what food you are eating. Some guests behind me were talking and laughing loudly, I find them very inconsiderate when at such nice ambience. Luckily I am very satisfied with the food.
Wooloomooloo’s starter/appetizer portions are bigger than many places.
We ordered 1 soup to share and restaurant was thoughtful to split it into 2 separate bowls for our convenience.
Their steak was tasty and juicy too.
Enjoyed our dinner there for sure and will go back again for their food.
Food was great, table service was excellent, but reception was the worst you can imagine. How can you tell a couple that mention in the reservation that its celebrating its 10th anniversary that they MUST finish in 1 hours and 20 minutes. Is Wooloomooloo a fast food or a top class restaurant????
Prawn cocktail was not v fresh & brownie was dry. Steak & crab cakes were good.
What else do you need?
Surprised that the brunch menu was still available at 1pm. Would definitely go back again.
Mushroom soup is tad salty - prolly due to the cheese.
Fresh bake bread/bun is a lovely.
Brownie is a little soft.
Overall is brilliant!
The lunch tasting menu was value for money. Service was great.
We went there last year during Valentines as well. It was so good that we decided to go back again this yea. However, the steak was dry and not up to expectation. Service was slow, we even have to request sauce for the steak and asked 3 times for chilli sauce. Hence not going back anymore.
It's sooo expensive for what you eat. If I compare our experience in Singapore, eating a "Steak and french fries" is more expensive than a restaurant with one star Michelin !!!! Incredible.
The meals were good but not very good ans the dessert was not fresh... It was like "frozen dessert", wich is unacceptable for this level of price and quality!
As weel we ask to sit less near to the other clients because they were a bit noisy and whereas there were many tables free, they reject our demand...
We are very disappointed... unfortunately.
Very good service, ambience and quality of food.
Sent in a request for birthday and the staff promptly delivered.
The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Will definitely be returning.
We placed 2 paper bags on the floor just behind my mom's seat where no one would walk by. One of the female service crew at the restaurant kept "kicking" onto one of the bags while moving closer to remove the plates from our table; without apologies or offer to place them elsewhere for us. She seemed oblivion. In the end, I shifted it further from where her leg would come in contact with the bag. Customer service needs to be better.
Nice restaurant in the Swissotel The Stamford (Raffles City). The food the two of us had (chosen from the four course set menu) was excellent, and good value for the quality. Steaks are obviously the star of the show, and mine was expertly cooked.
Thank you so much! The Beef Wellington was delicious and the service was amazing. My boyfriend and I felt very well taken care of. We will definitely come back again. :)
Incontournable pour sa qualité de viandes
The steak is good and I love it. However, I find that their service are not so attentive and they hardly smile. In fact, we don’t feel welcome at all. I’m surprised that they don’t provide complimentary cake for birthday unlike other steakhouse.
Poor service, no one was available to take our order and had to ask many times to refill the water glass. The tomahawk steak took 25 mins and was raw and not medium as we asked. There was no coffee, the waitress said it would take 10 mins after we said we could wait she finally said the machine was actually broken.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for our younger son of the family on a Saturday night. Ambience was lively with crowds happy eating and with full big window overseeing the Marina area which were having fireworks due to NDP rehearsal:)
For the Porterhouse steak that we ordered, it was made a bit too tough ( we ordered Medium done ), however the service was good and friendly.
Overall we still had a memorable birthday celebration for the teenager boy in the house.
I had made the reservation booking through the resturant online site (Opentable), however the resturant didn’t find my name under reservation list. It was lucky that there was still empty table or the birthday dinner would not be able to carry out.
Good food but average service and ambience. Uncomfortable seating due to table and chair height mismatch. Will return for the food.
Nice food, friendly service crew, good view and ambience
Very attentive staff, making us feel cared for and treasured. Loved the way we could just leave it to the staff on what wine to serve us with just by us telling her our palate preference. Pampered by the surprise wedding anniversary dessert treat (totally exquisite!). Food-wise, the meats were perfect. Could have warned us of the size of the desserts though. It was one of the best wedding anniversary dinner experiences. Thank you, wooloomooloo!! :)
I must say the steak is a joy to devour. The sauces that accompanied our steak gave us the option of mixing it to our liking. My wife loved her foie gras. We were really full after the last piece of steak, but my wife was truly thankful for her birthday surprise prepared by the chefs .
