Wooloomooloo Steakhouse Singapore
The restaurant also features an open kitchen to provide dramatic flair to elevate any meal out and an aboriginal dot-painting mural to pay tribute to Australian culture.
Poor service, no one was available to take our order and had to ask many times to refill the water glass. The tomahawk steak took 25 mins and was raw and not medium as we asked. There was no coffee, the waitress said it would take 10 mins after we said we could wait she finally said the machine was actually broken.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for our younger son of the family on a Saturday night. Ambience was lively with crowds happy eating and with full big window overseeing the Marina area which were having fireworks due to NDP rehearsal:)
For the Porterhouse steak that we ordered, it was made a bit too tough ( we ordered Medium done ), however the service was good and friendly.
Overall we still had a memorable birthday celebration for the teenager boy in the house.
I had made the reservation booking through the resturant online site (Opentable), however the resturant didn’t find my name under reservation list. It was lucky that there was still empty table or the birthday dinner would not be able to carry out.
Good food but average service and ambience. Uncomfortable seating due to table and chair height mismatch. Will return for the food.
Nice food, friendly service crew, good view and ambience
Very attentive staff, making us feel cared for and treasured. Loved the way we could just leave it to the staff on what wine to serve us with just by us telling her our palate preference. Pampered by the surprise wedding anniversary dessert treat (totally exquisite!). Food-wise, the meats were perfect. Could have warned us of the size of the desserts though. It was one of the best wedding anniversary dinner experiences. Thank you, wooloomooloo!! :)
I must say the steak is a joy to devour. The sauces that accompanied our steak gave us the option of mixing it to our liking. My wife loved her foie gras. We were really full after the last piece of steak, but my wife was truly thankful for her birthday surprise prepared by the chefs .
Steak was well cooked to medium rare for the sirloin and ribeye as ordered. Grilled asparagus was wonderful. Service was prompt and friendly.
Ice Cream was superb. Hands down to the Wagyu Tomahawk.
I ordered a medium rare rib eye, came out looks like a medium rib eye.
Excellent wine, great fixed price four item with shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, filet and baked apple deaert with ice cream. Friendly service was even better!
Celebrated my wife’s birthday at the steakhouse and we were amazed by the impeccable customer service. The manager, Khalidah was attentive and suggested the crab cake and salad for my pregnant wife who can’t take the raw oysters or other dishes with alcohol. The food was served timely, well paced with a short break after we are done with starters and champagne. We are satisfied with the beef Wellington and Fillet Mignon, the yoghurt sorbet compliments the cheesecake and the dinner ended with a complimentary birthday cake. Khalidah is thoughtful to offer to take photos for us.
Delicious food, great meet and outstanding service. The only small little downside was that the Porterhouse was more done than ordered but beside that the whole experience at Wooloolooloo was super nice!
The staffs are friendly and helpful especially Khaili. Enjoyed the pre dinner drinks outside with the stunning view of the Marina Sands. This is my 4 visit to the restaurant and I will definitely come back and recommended to friends.
Service was lackluster at best. They were out of everything because of "Chinese New Year." The Wagyu ribeye was tough. I went to Cut in Marina Bay Sands the night before spend your money there!
Service was bad
The view is fantastic, the service was excellent, the steak was awesome! Try the dry aged steak!
Went here for my wife’s birthday dinner. Felt the service was poor as the waiter seems to be urging us to order faster and didn’t explain the Amex promotion properly until we ordered so we didn’t have time to change our order. Was given a table next to the kiosk even though there are other tables around. He should at least ask if we are ok with the table. Can hear the persons from the table besides us talking. Else the steak was excellent.
That was our 2nd time dining at Wooloomooloo and we still love their steak very much (even though I struggled to finish the steak and I still finish it!). Love the sauces. Their salad is yummy too! We love and want to thank Wooloomooloo for the warm friendly hospitality and surprise. Thanks for surprising us with complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration.
It was a great place for my fiance’s birthday dinner. The steak was splendid and my fiance told me he wants to return as he had the best steak he had eaten. Would definitely come back again!
Staff were very welcoming and accommodating as I got the table near the window that I requested. This offered a beautiful view of the Singapore financial district skyline. My food was excellent. I had the USDA ribeye served with watercress drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and the sides were french fries, shared creamy spinach and truffle mac and cheese, all of which were scrumptious. I noticed that several other reviewers commented that either their steak or fish was too salty. My husband also made the same comment of his steak and ended up not enjoying the meal as much as I had hoped as this was his birthday celebration. Nice variety of wines to suit everyone’s budget and taste. I chose this restaurant over the celebrity branded types mainly because of the view, spacious look (tables not ridiculously close together) and the more laid back feel overall. All lived up to the reputation. I think you can get a perfectly prepared steak in most high end restaurants in this city, so it’s the extras that keep the regulars coming back. I would therefore recommend again.
For the price you pay, you would expect a way better food. 5 stars for 5 stars. But this one is 2 stars steak for 5 stars price.
Service-they should be more attentive. Simple thing like water, been empty for sometimes, asked 1, not coming, asked twice, 15mins later to come. Bread. 30mins later.
The staffs were attentive, food served at a reasonable pace. Delicious food. But one minor thing that I want to point out, we paid the bill but one of the staff came after us when we were walking out of the restaurant. I feel that they should verified the situation first before going after your customers. Afterall they have my phone number and we were strolling out of the restaurant at a slow pace.
We were fortunately allocated the window seat which made the meal/experience more enjoyable. Excellent service. Food was delivered in very quick order. Didn't feel rushed and steak was cooked to order. Prices are in line with other steak houses in SG. Would recommend.
Great Steakhouse my daughter said it was the best steak she had ever had I would have to agree.
Food was superb, service was good. Nice place to have a good meal.
A rather noisy restaurant but their staff were awesome. The food didn't suit our taste considering the high price - the steak was slightly too peppery, the salmon sat in a sauce that way too salty. Their molten choc cake was good.
Food quality was good but floor service staff are not attentive. They were busy with regular customers. Need to hail several times before we could get their attention.
Too much noise to have a quiet relaxing meal. I have dined at many other restaurants serving similar food of same pricing level but their service were much better.
Well it is always the first and last for me unless improvement are made on the service level.
excellent steak, well cooked steak, food was great. prices are high but that is singapore. service was first rate. some good wines to choose from as well. we dined with children and they were very accommodating.
Overall we had a good meal, however I felt that the servers could have spent more time explaining the kinds of steak offered, giving us more insights on how special the steaks in ur restaurant are. Instead of just asking what would you like—to go the extra mile makes all the difference in the experience which sadly, we did not get to experience here unlike other restaurants.
A proper steakhouse with the right ambience and great views of the skyline.
Went to Wooloomooloo steakhouse for an anniversary event with my wife. We had the french onion soup, wooloomooloo steak, hot chocolate cake and soufflé. There wasn't one dish that we weren't pleased with. We loved the hot chocolate cake the most!
The restaurant Assistant Manager Ms. Kelly gave fantastic services and warm welcome to diners!
went on friend's recommendation. service staffs are pretty attentive but can be trained more on knowledge and customer interaction.
steak was slightly over cooked and was offered a replacement, nice gesture offered. the wooloomooloo steak is great!
do note the side dish serving is big...so sharing is the way to go.
prepare at least a budget of $100 per pax
overall very good experience.
Request for birthday cake with message did not came despite staff called me to confirm for the reservation with the request made by me.
The initial experience was great in terms of the warmth of the staff and service however that only lasted for the first 15 minutes. We ordered food and drinks together and instead of the drinks arriving well ahead of the meal, the drinks took so long that the food arrived too soon afterwards. The food was well prepared although serving four sauces with the steak was inappropriate as people like choice. It didn't help that two of the sauces were diluted and tasteless. Bread was great but not enough butter. Asked for salt and pepper and never received any. Staff took time to remove plates and ask about dessert. We got the menus and were then IGNORED. Getting very irate so gave up and asked for the bill. Waited another 15 minutes before asking AGAIN. I simply can't understand why the owners would go to so much trouble in designing a high class restaurant and then ignore customer service.
We ordered the ribeye steak and filet mignon. The serving portion was generous and value for money. The crab cake was also amazing with huge chunks of crab meat.
My family was all geared up expecting nothing but the best from Wooloo to celebrate my daughter's birthday but we were deeply disappointed by the following :
- rudely surprise by the charges they imposed by bringing a birthday cake ($25) for the celebration.
- service was bad (waited for more than 30 min before our order was taken) and more than 30 min before the food was served
- food was burnt (son ordered a beef wellington, the underside of the pastry was burnt)
- poor plating and not ample greens was served (the slab of beef was only accompanied by a few leaves of greens which I finished within two mouthfuls) - even Jack's Place gives more
Overall a very very bad experience and I will never never go back again. Oh... my slab of Mignon was too salty. Definitely not money worth...
The steak was tender and delicious, except that it was slightly too salty. The service was attentive and we really enjoyed our dinner there.
Steaks were fab! Although over priced. So was the red wine.Music was too loud.waitress offered me a shawl as it was cold inside, nice touch!
Would go there again for special occasion
