Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar
Nestled along the Delaware River in bucolic Bucks County, the Yardley Inn is a great place to enjoy waterside dining near Philadelphia.
The Yardley Inn is beautifully decorated for the holidays and that alone is worth a visit. Our waitress, Alexa, was exceptional. She brought the spirit of the season to our table with her lovely warm personality and excellent service. We very much enjoyed our lunch. We had a wonderful time.
Turkey wings were tough, 2 stuffed oyster for $12 was extortion. Turkey entree was dry, steak overcooked, creamed spinach needed seasoning. none of the dishes were up to the typical standard of this restaurant. The dining room was deafeningly loud. Service was mediocre. I suppose this is what you get dining out on Thanksgiving.
Everyone made the Thanksgiving holiday enjoyable.
Family tradition Thanksgiving dinner at YI. They do an excellent job with a special occasion.
Great local place with nice crowd, great food & drink, and live music on Sat nights
All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and look forward to going back!
Delicious food...Excellent service by our waiter Robert who has served us before. I had the salmon which was flavorful and perfectly done. One of my Nieces had pork which she had ordered before which is one of her favorites. The chief is very innovative and makes the food exciting.
Always a great experience. From the awesome ladies who great you and run the show to the staff and not to mention the food. We love it here.
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were there for brunch. They went out of their way to seat us in front of a beautiful fire and gave us a champagne toast to enjoy. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the hospitality.
We look forward to our annual dinner at the Yardley Inn. Always good food.
Very disappointed this time. I ordered my usual turkey sandwich but it was not very appetizing. The turkey was dry and there was supposed to be a cheese and jam with it and they were missing making the sandwich bland and tasteless. Our waitress did not check on us til we were almost finished our meal.
Pleasant lunch with my wife.
Went for our anniversary. This is my third time here, the food is delicious, even my husband who is a CIA trained chef enjoyed it! Our server was very nice, the only thing I will say is service was a little slow. She took our drink order but we had to ask to put our hors d’oeuvres order in. Not trying to complain or get her in trouble, but with being in the industry I think it’s important to give honest feedback. We will definitely be back!!
Service was excellent, food was also very good, highly recommend.
Fish, a tad overcooked...meats good
Our server appeared to be overwhelmed and a bit slow, I ordered the swordfish & charded kale, the fish was tasteless and my entire meal was tepid at best.
In all fairness, we have eaten there many times and this was my first disappointing dinner.
Andy, the bartender, was our server. We always make every effort to get one of her tables or to sit at the bar. She is totally attentive to your needs without being intrusive. Service is smooth, efficient and always with a smile. As always the food was served hot and the presentation was perfect as always. very delicious. i love eating in the bar where the fireplace and dark wood make for a very comforting ambience.
Great food, great service.
Overall this was a great experience. It was a Saturday night and they were juggling a special event with their usual full dining room, so it was very crowded. However, the hostess seated us almost right on time with our reservation - and while we were waiting, I noticed that she was handling the crowd very professionally. The ambiance and wait staff were on point! Beer, wine and cocktail selection were excellent! We thought the food was pretty good. Not overly amazing, although the menu choices were good. The presentation of it wasn't amazing either. Portions could be a bit bigger (perhaps by 25%), so that was my only complaint in terms of value. That said, we really enjoyed ourselves and will undoubtedly be back!
From start to finish the whole experience was awful. We had reservations and still had to wait over a half hour. The ambiance was chaotic, the food was one note, one color, and bland. The hostess was so stressed out that she was rolling her eyes at the patrons and while she was answering the phones. My entree was so unappetizing that I could not even finish it. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and had put that in the notes on open table for the restaurant and they did not acknowledge it. We do not get out much because we have two children at home and we were so disappointed because this was our first time coming here and that we wasted our time coming to the Yardley Inn. We will definitely not be coming back.
Great manager, Michelle!
Good food, service and ambiance, but very expensive $
Ordered Fish & Chips. The fish was good, but the fries were served packed in a basket underneath. As a result the fries were soggy and greasy. Fries were also mostly dark brown overcooked and TBH just gross. This restaurant has the potential to make amazing fries. They should do that.
I was there for a business meeting and thought the food and service were great. I’d definitely go back there and had already recommended the place to another person looking for a good place to go.
Always an outstanding experience!! Love the varied options. Service consistently excellent.
Great food. Great service
Food was wonderful. Service was good. However despite having a reservation, we decided to sit at the bar because the table we we were given was in the bar and barely 20 inches wide. There were tables for four available but we were not offered a chance to sit at them. Food was excellent though and the bartender Nick was attentive and pleasant.
We waited one hour for a burger. The noise level was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk.
Tuna was a bit overcooked. Lipstick on the mug they brought out. Slow service. Not our best visit here.
Service and Dinner was consistent with previous visits to the Yardley Inn. Great specials for dinner that were very tasty. My wife had the boar and I had the scallops. Both were very delicious. Our server was very attentive and pleasant.
We sat at a window table where you could look out over the river and their garden plot. It was quite lovely. My boyfriend and I both ordered one of the omelette selections. The quantity was more than adequate and a great value for the cost. The side of fruit was a nice touch but the melons were not ripe and tasteless. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
Other than the soup being served in an espresso cup, the meal was fine. Muffins are the best and lovely view.
Neighborhood staple and popular spot. Comfortable setting and bar is always full. Some dishes are fantastic, others no so much. A solid "Good."
Yardley is in my top 3 favorite restaurants! The food is great and the staff is always friendly!!
personal I did not care for our waitress. the bus woman was great though
We love this place, but you've GOT to update the online menu more frequently. And bring back the shrimp malfati!
I love this restaurant- the drinks are great and I love the kale salad! My only complaint is tables for 2 are absurdly small for people who order multiple appetizers. Tables for 4 are fine.
I was disappointed that when we left at 9:00 there still wasn't any entertainment as listed. We were looking forward to spending more time there listening to the music
Food and service were fine. However, we were seated in the VERY noisy bar area AND when we sat down the musician arrived to get set up about six feet from our table. The bar kept getting more crowded, noise increased and music began. We could not talk with our friends! We ate quickly and left.
Great food and overall vibe. Our waiter was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and funny.
