    So loud you can’t talk or think- the reason we dine is to visit and chat. When I have to shout to place my order, something is majorly wrong!!! I have cited this issue three other times and management just ignores it? The waiter told me it was managers who keep it painfully loud. It’s not happy hour every hour of the day, so after 6 pm, lower the volume of your awful music….

    I thought the food with some exceptions was just mediocre. Black beans everything was delicious. Also the ceviche was quite good. Service was slow.

    For being a super busy Saturday the food came out really quick, tasted delicious, they had happy hour at 6:30 pm still and it was overall a great experience. Will definitely be back.

    The food was okay, nothing special. Both my sister and my food was on the warm/cold side and came out really fast like 5 mins after ordering which tells me it wasn’t made fresh to order. Also the blackberry Margarita barely had any flavor, it just tasted like a regular margarita.

    Zocalo is our reasonable choice for a quick meal before seeing a theater performance in Sacramento. Food is tasty, service is good, atmosphere can be noisy. Yesterday, the wait staff must have been overheated, since they kept propping open a door to the patio when the temp was in the low 50s outside with the wind blowing. Customers routinely asked that the door be closed, and it was closed.

    The service was absolutely atrocious!! We waited over an hour before someone asked if we wanted to order food. Our server kept disappearing and would help all the tables around us, but not us. We had to flag the manager so we could order food and then our server finally showed up to take the order.

    We joined Zocalo for their Dia de los Muertos celebration and to see Mariachi Bonitas. We got outside seating and felt very excluded. There were no decor outside whats so ever like inside. We didnt get to see the Mariachi at all but thru glass. We also noticed instagram had special drinks for that night. Our server didnt offer them until we asked.

    The only part of the evening that didn’t run smooth was the beginning. We checked in approximately 15 minutes before the dinner experience was to begin and was told to wait until our name was called. Then we waited approximately20 minutes and noticed that people were being seated as they checked in and they never called our name which resulted in us standing in line again to check in.

    We attended Zocalo's Dia de Los Muertos dinner last night with another couple. What a fun time! The 4-course fixed menu, each with a specific cocktail was not only delicious but an amazing value for $60/person. All the drinks and courses were great, but the flan was the best I have ever had, and the accompanying espresso martini was perfect. The all-female mariachi band played wonderful music, the staff were all very accommodating and everyone had a great time, us included. We go to Zocalo regularly and will definitely be back for this experience next year!

    The dinner was spectacular! Wonderful food and drinks. They could use some improvement in handling arriving reservations. The food was an excellent value. We sat in a room that was rather noisy, but it wasn’t a big deal.

    Four of us enjoyed dinner before a play. We were seated exactly at 6 pm, our reservation time. Drinks arrived at 6:20 and our food by 6:30 even though it was a busy Friday evening. Food was delicious!
