Natural gas heaters throughout patio. Tree built into patio overhead for nice shading. A little outside of the main thoroughbred (10 minute walk to see water). Food came out hot, and enjoyed every bite. Generous portions. Worth a visit if you are not looking to be packed in like sardines and still take COVID seriously.
Reservation was easy to make. We were shown right to our table on the patio. The server was friendly, and she brought orders for the kids in our party first, which is a lifesaver. The food was delicious, the patio is chill and gorgeous, and we felt very safe and distanced. Loved it.
Great service and food! Super location
Our waitress Emily was amazing. She provided exceptional service and she should be commended for a great job under during a service with minimal staff to support her. Our food was amazing and she made our experience memorable! She definitely deserves a raise!
The hostess was extraordinarily sweet and did a great job balancing helping everyone and maintaining a superb attitude! Hope to have her help again in the future! So positive and sweet.
Beautiful ambiance, decent food and a very attentive and great energy server - she rocked!
Seated in a lackluster room, slow service, food not hot on a couple entrees. Had indicated that this was a birthday celebration and had to ask for a candle in my daughter's dessert which was also not complimentary.
Went for Sunday brunch. All the food was delicious. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I enjoyed the ambiance. Would definitely go again.....
Escape room and dinner
Have been going here for a while prior to concerts. The food has gone from good to mediocre. The convenience of having dinner here before the concert is no longer worth it. We waited 45 min to get a bowl of soup. The rest of the meal was late making us late for the show. They have a new menu. I had a Cobb salad that no longer has meat as it should, you will have to pay extra for that. By the time I got half way through, the greens were like garbage. Won’t go back there again. Would rather eat fast food then eat there again. What a shame, the food use to be good
Beautiful day on the outside patio. We were the first to try the new menu and everything was good.
Great service. Friendly funny knowledgeable staff! We had a fun night. My steak was ordered at a medium. But the middle was rare and parts of the outside were well done. Otherwise, looking forward to another dinner soon.
The place was crowded, but we had a reservation and we were seated quickly. The waiter was prompt and we'll informed of the menu. We went to a show next store, and that waiter was horrible.
Nice restaurant with brew-pub kind of menu. We were able to satisfy the family with lemon artichoke pasta, hamburger and shrimp & grits. All were good, though the shrimp and grits was a different style than the classic. Still good. Our waiter was attentive and very open about describing different beers and menu items. The restaurant is large, but doesn't feel that way as there are many different rooms with different vibes. A good choice if you want a reliable meal and aren't looking for a challenging, high end menu.
Excellent food and great atmosphere especially before a show.
We enjoyed the Monday lobster special, plan on repeating that soon!
Always enjoy Ram’s Head—great food and ambiance. Jesse our server was super personable and attentive.
Whenever a see a show at Rams Head, I get the VIP plan too. Just makes life easier!
Good size venue for intimate musical experience. Pre and post concert dining and drinks was an added plus with nice setting. Parking discount a plus.
We wanted a quiet brunch, rather than jazz, so they gave us a nice window seat at the front. There are wonderful food and Demi choice. Three of us chose eggs Benedict versions which we preceded with a tab dip appetizer. Although stuffed, we shared two desserts and opted to takeout a slice of Smith island cake.
Our only issue was that one entree came out 15 minutes late,, so three of us were polite and waited but ate old eggs.
This is our second time here and the experience is mediocre. We had tickets to the show that night and put in for the premium experience and both times we have had to walk our server through what we needed. I never got any indication on how we were supposed to get the discounted parking. Next time we have a show here, we'll probably eat somewhere else first.
Went for dinner and a concert used the complementary on stage experience and it was excellent.
Rams Head Tavern is a convenient place for dinner before the show at Rams Head On Stage. Reserve your table before the show time, and you can participate in the On Stage Experience which gives you a couple dollars off parking at Gotts Garage, 10% off your meal bill, an escort to your seats for the performance, and a free beer after the show.
That being said, know that Happy Hour offers incredible deals on appetizers (but only in the bar area) and draft beers. We were not informed of this by our waitstaff and made the mistake of being seated early rather than nosh in the bar, so our appetizers were full price. We enjoyed the Crabby Tots most, crab dip covered in melted cheese on top of crisp fried potato tots and sprinkled with scallions, and it's a large portion so there's ample to share.
There are daily specials which are good value meals; ours was Rosemary Pork Medallions with asparagus and mash potatoes. While the flavor, presentation and 'freshness' were good, the "medallions" were more Olympic medal sized and a bit chewy so it was most likely pork loin slices and not the tenderloin rounds we anticipated. Always good to ask first!
We revisit from time to time as there is plenty to choose from the menu, we enjoy the atmosphere, and the location is convenient. And there is a parking garage directly across the street, which helps on busy nights.
The room we were in looked outdated and in need of refresh. The waitress was solid but the kitchen was so slow! The table next to us and behind us were complaining about length of time to get their food and sandwiches. Fortunately for us we were not in a rush. When the food arrived it was fair at best. My husband ordered the stir fry which lacked flavor, my son received a burnt cheeseburger (even the cheese was burnt), and I had a decent pasta dish. Overall, we’d not venture back next time in Annapolis.
The service was slow and apathetic. The food was marginal pub food.
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. Excellent experience, excellent atmosphere, excellent service.
The S’mores Sundae is the best ever!
Did not have a good experience. Service was very slow and the food was average. In the past, service was very good along with the food. Maybe it was an off day.
My favorite venue to see live shows. Pre-show dinner is solid, adequate variety to find a taste for each of our groups palates. good to generous portions. beer selection is eclectic. Overall a great value for a bite to eat before a show. If I lived closer, would consider coming just for a meal.
My wife's mahi mahi was overcooked, but the manager deducted 30% for her entree price. Also, my lobster was a little, maybe undercooked, but still OK.
Good food. Pear salad very fresh with tasty toasted cashews. Very generous portions. One suggestion is to serve the bread warm. Very nice waitstaff.
The food was very good but the service was slow. However, that seemed to be more a case that the restaurant was understaffed than it being a waitstaff issue.
Came for casual business lunch - was perfect! Great Cobb salad - generous portions all around. Great atmosphere in heart of Annapolis. Only downside - give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes for parking. Normal everyday downtown Annapolis parking issues.....
Love this place! A little disappointed that they no longer serve my favorite beer battered shrimp, however, waitress suggested the appetizer shrimp as a substitute.
Perfect as always. You really can't beat their Performance Package when attending a show next door. Great Meal, (at with a discount) walked to your seats from your dinner table. No waiting outside to get into the concert venue. and a Discount on your parking too! What's not to like.
We were there for a concert. We took advantage of the $5 burger night. Burgers were done perfectly, but the charcoal flavor was overpowering. Don't think that I'd choose that, again. Menu has lots of interesting options.
We were unhappy with the hostess. We made a reservation, yet were told they were overbooked. She initially put us in the "dungeon" under a cold window with an ac unit in it. I went back upstairs and said that it was unacceptable. She offered a two top right up next to the large screen. Why we didn't go there in the first place I have no idea!
Waiter was weeded out, but kind and attentive as best as he could be. We tipped him 100%!
One other note...I walked past another server on my way to the restroom between acts. She is complaining about a customer to the bartender who apparently wasn't eating fast enough for her. So unprofessional! in front of a customer (me!)
Dine there more for convenience of concert events but not impressed by the overall dining experience.
Good place to ear dinner before a Rams Head show. Complimentary on stage experience was a nice touch before our first show there.
Wonderful to have lobster night the night we were there! Great meal. Server was extremely busy - probably could have used some more help. Great dinner before show.
Always the go-to when attending a show at Rams Head. Specials are always a great choice and if you're not that hungry the Pub Fare will satisfy even the diminished appetite.
