    The pierogies were delicious. The cocktails (we tried 3 different one) had a very strong alcohol flavor and not much other flavor. The cheese board was not impressive. The french onion soup bisque tasted like thick gravy. The server was great and the atmosphere was a nice classy bar/restaurant atmosphere.

    Our first time there, group of 5 for brunch. Great experience. Pleasant greeting when arriving, and seated quickly at our reservation time. We sat upstairs. The booths are large and comfortable, plenty of room for 5 adults. The brunch menu is expansive, food was plentiful, fresh and delivered hot to the table. Mimosa are a great deal at $22 for a bottle with choice of juice. Our server(sorry I can’t remember her name) was excellent. Will definitely be back.

    This was a wonderful rustic place for a lovely brunch close to very important pieces of history. The food was high quality and delicious! Our waitress Janae was fabulous and so sweet and caring! Would recommend to anyone!

    The cheesesteak looked like hamburger helper (not real steak) and the fried chicken sandwich was burnt to a crisp. Service was great and the ambiance was nice.

    We had a very nice lunch at this restaurant across the street from Independence Hall and near the Constitution Center. It is associated with the Kimpton Monaco Hotel, which looks like a nice place to stay when visiting Philadelphia. The service was excellent and the food was good.

    Took forever to get our drinks and food, which all came out together after waiting over 30m, food was cold and not great. Waitstaff never came over to check in and had to wait to ask for the bill and then pay.

    More than half of our breakfast dishes were cold starting with apps and then the main dish. Service was inattentive at best. Finally had to get a manager involved at the end and he helped with discounting the bill but it was not a great way to end our Philly weekend.

    We love the Red Owl. It is part of the Kimpton Monaco Hotel, and is owned by the hotel. If your a Top Tier member of IHG / Kimpton make sure to get your breakfast certificates which do a nice job of giving you extra cake with your stay. It’s located across from the liberty bell, but not a “tourist trap” style restaurant even though it does get its fair share of them. The bar program is quite good and many of the bar tenders can be nimble and mix up drinks on request. Their seasonal cocktails are well worth checking out. There is no bad food here, the upstairs is a bit less noisy but the servers have to run up and down 2 flights of steps to serve you so it is a little bit harder to flag someone down at times but not troublesome. Sitting and hanging at the bar (no reservation for those seats required) is always my favorite spot to hang when passing through. I’ve been here a dozen or more times and highly recommended it.

    I picked this place due to its proximity to the historic sites nearby as I have 2 colleagues visiting from out of town. Everyone in our group of 6 enjoyed everything we ordered. The food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely return again.

    A disappointment all around. Setting is noisy with little charm. Service was inconsistent with one drink, arriving after the meal was completed. Wine by the glass was undrinkable. Most significantly the main courses were without anything to commend them: cauliflower Shawarma that was a little more than roasted cauliflower and pasta dish that was without real taste.

    Atmosphere is cool. Service is subpar, took a while to get drinks and order food. Food came out pretty quick, but ordered the basic chicken sandwich and the entire piece of chicken came out of the kitchen burnt to a char. Tasted like a bonfire, sent it back, gave me a chicken sandwich with nothing on it, and French fries that were halfway cooked. $20 for the chicken sandwich meal but could have gotten a much better chicken sandwich meal at Popeyes for half the price. Good location but not worth it to go back.

    Our server was amazing. I wish I remember his name but if you're the owner, he was working Saturday brunch upstairs and he was so kind and attentive. The food was all perfect and the drinks were delicious. I got a bloody Mary with a wild mushroom toast and my husband ordered the hot toddy and an egg dish that I don't remember but he loved.

    Had a reservation for my wife’s birthday, they stuck us at a table directly behind the hostess cabinet. The food was hit or miss (deep fried pierogies? The cheese on my wife’s burger was not raclette and no onion jam present either. We ordered creamed maitake mushrooms, they were filled with shiitake and button mushrooms, pretty disappointing. Carrot cake for dessert was incredibly small, over-spiced and clearly old). The drinks were decent and the space is nice.

    Worse food we have had on this trip. Onion soup was more like a gravy than soup. Pork sandwich, was bland at best. Turkey sandwich was good for one of the party of 3.
