Great food and drink. Quality produce and guest class service. Dishes were slightly on the small size but overall I’m very impressed.

Even though the setting is unique and interesting if you can sit on the semi-open patio, the menu was
confusing and weird. It was one of the strangest we've ever seen. We actually hated it. The chef is trying to be too Haute Cuisine. I had read it was the best food in L.A. I ordered the duck. The first bite was tough and the little bites of duck didn't have much taste. Including the $12 Valet plus tip is the only parking option nearby, glad we experienced it once but won't be returning.

We attended a business dinner for a party of 7, although the seating was tight, the service and food were outstanding. One of the guest had a food allergy and the staff was extra cautious in the preparation of the food. The retractable roof took advantage of a perfect LA evening and we all had a memorable and amazing evening. I would highly recommend Redbird.

Hostess’s were a bit befuddled and confused. Two reservations with the same last name seemed a bit to much for them to handle for some reason.

Prepare to have your mind blown!

After years of fine dining because of business privileges, I am accustomed to great restaurants but this one truly blew me away. All of the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs, from the sweet busboy who delivered the amazing bread which the conspiratorial comment, "These are amazing" to the excellent waitress, Robin who took flawless care of us. I also noticed mother hen manager very discreetly observing the room in the background providing attention and support to various customers or wait staff as needed. But the amazing service is not the reason to go here... the food will wowowow you. The cocktails are beautiful creations of flavor - well thought out and delicious. The amazing food began to follow providing explosions of flavor from the interesting combinations and expertly prepared dishes. My duck was tender and flavorful accompanied by one of the most amazing tamales I have ever eaten - a subtle combination of mole and spices with some vegetables - I can't even describe it accurately but the complex flavors began the moment it hit my taste buds and then continued to change and evolve in my mouth - it really blew me away. My friend ordered the scallops which were also incredible. The rack of lamb was brilliant and even pasta dishes were a cut above with flavorful sauces and interesting tastes. It's expensive but it is soooo worth it. Be sure and have the desserts which also were wonderful with more taste combinations that dazzled. The dining room and setting are also so beautiful and helped to complete our magical dining experience for guests visiting from Japan. I would say that this dining experience has been a true highlight of my year - and I travel a lot and eat out often. I have high standards and RedBird exceeded my expectations and surpassed them. Thank you for a an amazing evening

Redbird has been consistently good since it's opening. The setting is lovely and menu quite innovative and seasonal. Wine choices are very interesting and over a good range of prices.

Why this restaurant doesn't have a Michelin star escapes me. Delicious, intelligent, sophisticated food consistently, always, with a challenging cocktail and wine program to go with the food. Braised lamb belly and day boat scallops this time as I continue to eat my way through the dinner menu.

Brunch was very good, the Basque eggs were a little spicy. The way the DIY Mimosa was served was refreshing; with a separation of sparkling wine and the orange juice. The noise level was a little high.

We had brunch on a Sunday to celebrate my birthday. The decor and overall ambience of the restaurant was like an oasis in a gritty city. You couldn’t tell from the building exterior what awaits inside.

We ordered the duck chilaquiles (the table’s favorite dish), the crab congee (good, but not quite the congee flavor we were expecting), and the French toast. All were delicious, but definitely on the pricey side.

So I feel that this restaurant is suitable for special occasions & dates, but not really for everyday dining.

The service and the food were absolutely phenomenal. The server asked up front if we needed to be finished eating by a certain time, which we did. We were able to complete our meal without feeling rushed and made it to our event on time.

Cannot wait to go back. Would recommend Redbird to everyone.

Beautiful space with open roof. A little drafty would be the only complaint. The swordfish was top notch, as was the massive pork chop! Had an excellent Gamay along with the meal...

The food was okay but not on par with other comparable nearby restaurants. We ordered the medium rare rib eye but it came cold and pre-sliced, so it was cold and dry and not worth the $115. Drinks were good. The service was polite but slow for how not busy the place was. Overall I won’t return, as I can spend the same amount at a restaurant like otium except I’d get much better food and service. I really wanted to like it but I was disappointed.

Absolutely the saltiest food I've had in years. Everything, and I mean everything, was oversalted. The peppers, the scallops, the meat. It was too much. I came home and drank a gallon of water. It is so absurdly overpriced and the fact that they dumped a salt mine on the food just made it a terrible experience.

Overall we are not impressed with the food. It's nothing out of the ordinary. Whatever they offer there, you can always find it somewhere else. They do not have a signature dish. On top of that, the portion is small.

The french fries and potato chips that came as a side with the entree were all too greasy.

The only good element was the ambiance.

Such an inventive and successful menu. All the entrees have a fascinating array of ingredients and sides, and they all work beautifully. Two of our group had the rabbit pasta, and two had the duck. Both excellent. And atrium space is gorgeous! Noise level is the only downside. We'll be back.

The Redbird is a wonderful restaurant in DTLA. The iconic location is a great place to dine for any occasion, but we especially enjoy taking out of town guest to this restaurant. The food quality, preparation and presentation is consistently fantastic. The menu is perfectly designed for sharing so that you and your guests have the opportunity to taste and enjoy the many delicious items on the menu! We also love the fact that even though you order all items at once you are allowed to set the pace for your dining. Yes you can go here before a show, but the best experience is to plan on this being an entire evenings outing, good food, good conversation with friends and great drinks. What more could you ask for?! We also find that we end up with the best wine selection if we enlist the assistance of the sommelier. He or she knows the dishes we ordered, we set the limits on price range and then describe the characteristics we like most in a wine and the sommelier has never failed to recommend a wine that was not a big hit!

This is a most beautiful dining venue, and the food is exquisite. Our family was there on a warm September evening, and as we were eating dessert the overhead covering pulled away to expose a a lovely twilight. The service here is friendly and inviting. Thank you.

This is the 3rd time we've dined at Redbird. The first 2 times were 5-star across the board. Unfortunately, this visit did not measure up to our previous experiences. It was so-so. One person in our party said they wouldn't return, but I'm going to chalk it up to an off night. There was a wedding at their neighboring venue and they got slammed with early arriving guests for a 600-person wedding. It was insane and probably put them off their game in the service but they need to step it up. Too many fantastic options now in DTLA for just "good."

This was our first time having brunch at Redbird, although we have dined here for dinner a few times. I had the Congee, which was outstanding. The crab, corn, grits, egg all worked perfectly together. It's pretty rich and savory and would be great to share although it's not a huge portion. My BF and I shared one blueberry pancake which was delicious and also huge. He had the Basque baked eggs which he loved. It was also quite large and would be great to share. Both had bloody mary's. A plus!
