   We were pleasantly surprised to find the food and service at Roots outstanding. We did have a reservation and were seated quickly in a location we desired. Our server, Bert was exemplary in his knowledge of the restaurants servings as well as parings with wine. He was attentive in making sure our needs were met and appropriately arranged delivery of our meal components. The food was delicious. We ordered an appetizer which Bert also recommended a little addition that made it more appealing. The main entre was split to share between us and was plenty of meal for each of us. While the restaurant is a bit pricey, it is not too much considering the quality of meals available to meet the needs of whatever delicacy you want. We have been to this restaurant some years ago for lunch, but decided to choose this location again based upon review of the menu and desire to select someplace special for my birthday.

   Such a terrific experience! Warm welcoming service, a menu with so many tempting sounding options we had a hard time choosing, really good food--sophisticated but comforting, terrifically prepared. Don't sleep on the desserts, they were awesome too. I only wish Roots was in our neighborhood!

   Great Brunch experience. Roots never disappoints. I forget what a great place we have here in the Couve. The food is excellent and well crafted. The service is always exceptional. Setting is comfortably elegant.

   Roots continues to be one of my very favorite restaurants for the family feel, great service, excellent food and drinks and all at a reasonable price for what they offer. Whether going out with my kids, with girlfriends for a drink or on a date, it’s always the right feel.

   An absolute flawless performance, yet again, by Roots. On food and service. My only complaint is how uncomfortable the chairs are and not enough booths.

   Very good restaurant. Varied menu and flexible about substitutions. Well prepared food. Great tasting coffee that was well re-filled. Drink menu is very good. Pleasant staff. Would have preferred a lower noise level, but it was tolerable.

    Another stellar meal and service all around. Drink pours are generous! The standout for me this time was the artichoke and asparagus linguini with lemon white wine sauce and parmigiano reggiano….it was beyond delicious!
