The décor of Rustico emanates old world "rustic" Italy with a soothing palette of brick red, amber and natural cherry wood floors.
The wine bar offers guests the opportunity to enjoy drinks before or after eating, sample pairings from our bar menu, or simply to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere. Rustico’s wine list offers over 20 wines by the glass as well as a 200 bottle collection, focusing mainly on the varietals of Italy, the second largest producer of wines worldwide.
No experience here. I was admonished last year when I could not find a restaurant in Amsterdam. Last night we drove to this restaurant and they were CLOSED! Not easy at 7:30 on s Monday night finding something else. Not happy
Delicious food, friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere.
Very good Italian food and service.
My family was researching our family roots in the Stevensville area and decided on Rustico for our special meal while we were in the area. We were very pleased with this quaint restaurant in the small town of Stevensville. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, the restaurant staff was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend Rustico and plan to visit when we are in the area again.
What a great "find" in the small town of Stevensville!!! We had no idea that there was such a terrific restaurant that serves a great lunch. Our server, Marc was excellent. He was attentive but not intrusive.
The food was very, very good. The menu offered a great selection of options for lunch. Thanks for a great experience.
We had a great evening as usual and this is quickly becoming our go to spot when we want to dine out for special occasions. The food was excellent and the service was really good as well.
Our waitress was awesome. I swear she had to be off in the shadows watching us because she appeared at just the right time. Very attentive and the food was great.
Not enough servers for number of guests. Server failed to serve our appetizer and our salad....then said she thought someone else brought it out...yep, wasn't paying attention to her tables...she was clearly overwhelmed. Very unusual, as service is usually flawless
It was a busy night with a large party. Food took awhile, that said, we have been there before with no large party and kitchen was quite a wait.
Also, dessert as described vanilla chocolate cake was a big disappointment.
Food never disappoints. Bar service could be better. Took a long time to get our drinks and the Prosecco was flat.
The food was delicious! The wait service excellent, all in all, it was a wonderful experience. Will definitely return
Ladies night out. Waitress was very nice and exceptionally efficient.
Excellent wine selection, food was good, bacon wrapped tenderloins were a table favorite. Nice Italian restaurant. Pasta dishes were a little pricy for what you received.
Nicest server ever! She told us right away that the kitchen was having delays, so we paced our appetizers and drinks accordingly. (The delay wasn't actually too bad.) The food was very good with one odd twist - two people ordered the same sautéed green vegetable. One serving was fine, the second inedible. The server immediately took back the problematic one and took it off the bill. No problem. The room was nicely decorated and the tables far enough apart that we could hear each other - a welcome rarity. Wine list had some good values. Overall, we enjoyed it and we'll be back on our next visit to Kent Island.
We drove over the Bay Bridge to visit Rustico on the recommendation of two different sets of friends who love Rustico.....we loved it too.....first we went to happy hour in the bar and met Michelina.....the very friendly bar tender....she customized my drink for me......
Then we went to the dining room for 1/2 price wine and a delicious dinner with excellent service.
We can’t wait to go back...well worth the drive....
I would recommend Rustico with the exception of the crepes filled with seafood. The crepes were too thick. Almost like pancakes and there was at most 2 tablespoons of sauce on them. Other than the sauce they had no flavor at all. Also, I ordered a Sangria cocktail with muddled fruit and the fruit was just dropped in the cocktail. The muffling would have added flavor to the drink that was not there.
The food was acceptable, but unfortunately, the acoustics in the restaurant were horrible! There were a couple larger tables and the conversations of those groups caused a horrible echo in the restaurant. Worse was the service. Dinner for 4..... took 50 minutes to receive appetizers, 60 minutes to receive bread, and right on the heels of that came our meals. Dinner lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes - NOT because we stayed and socialized! We were literally minutes away from walking out! Very disappointing
The tortellini alla romana (tortellini with sausage) was fantastic!
We had a reservation for 8 to celebrate a birthday with family. I was pleasantly surprised that we were seated in an intimate room away from hustle and bustle to enjoy our familys company. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. She did seem to get slightly annoyed as our group tried to figure out what we wanted (but in all honesty my family is very indecisive). The wine was great, the food from appetizers to entres and even desserts (creme brulee) were exceptional. I have always heard wonderful things about Rustico and am happy to say that they went above and beyond to make the dinner special and have lived up to their reputation!
We sat on the porch. It was a lovely evening. Very private, we felt like we were the only ones there. Very enjoyable evening. The food and service were great.
Our waitress was helpful, kind and attentive. The pasta was delicious, as was the antipasti plate and the cheesecake. We were less impressed with the grilled Caesar salad and the chocolate cake. Overall, dinner was delicious with an enjoyable ambiance.
Great neighborhood find. We are new to Stevensville, so just getting to know what is available. We are used to CT/NYC prices, so it's nice to experience good food and service at a reasonable price. We will be back!
It's a great place, outstanding food and ambience. The one recommendation we have, for a place that features wine so prominently, they should have someone there to make recommendations. Our waitress was ok, but she wasn't that knowledgable (I was looking for more than - this wine is popular). Our issue was we don't know Italian wines that well, and our waitress couldn't communicate American equivalents into options (or really know the differences between the finer points of wine selection).
Our second visit to Rustico while vacationing in the area again. Food and service is great. You can eat outside on nice days. Very homey inside. I'm sure we would return again if in the area in the future.
A hidden gem, one of our favorites. Always willing to cross the bay for this great restaurant.
Was not impressed this time. Fried green tomatoes lacked tomatoes. Soft shell special was over powered by over salted piccata sauce. They were not jumbo soft shells. The 2nd soft shell was placed underneath the larger one to hide the small size. My husband tried to explain to the server what he had the last time we were there and was brought something completely different. He was not offered an opportunity to switch it. I was not in the mood to complain- we just dealt. Also soft shells were not hot. We also felt rushed. We will be back but not too soon - we will know exactly what we want and will request a different server. My stomach was unsettled all night.
Good but nothing special
Food was really good. In fact, three of our four diners said their dinner was excellent. But the bartender and hostess were both down-right rude to our group. Don't think we will return.
The food at Rustico is always excellent and great value. Monday and Wednesday are half price wine for amazing selection of wine. We enjoyed oasis bucco and veal scallopini saving room for dessert of creek brulee. Highly recommended
WONDERFUL as always
Very nice restaurant located in a very cute little section of town. The food, service and atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice. It did not take us, but 30 minutes to get there and get back from Severna Park. We will definitely keep Rustico in mind as a nice change of pace in the future.
Great food and great service, especially on a busy Mother’s Day.
After my parents moved to the Eastern Shore a few years ago, this has been our go-to celebratory spot, but no more. We took the risk of dining out for Mother's Day and it more than disappointed. The online Mother's Day menu described a brunch ending at 4p, so we scheduled a 4p early dinner and were still subjected to a fixed-price menu, with the regular menu being unavailable for the evening. $45 included three different types of mimosas, an appetizer, entree and dessert. Who wants a mimosa with a steak or creamy pasta? Unappealing menu plan from the start followed by forgettable appetizers and down-right inedible entrees. Everything ice cold and lacking flavor. Sent back to the chef for a re-heat and the server gave apologies and said the owner was handling it personally and would also be right over. She never came by.
Also, ran out of one of the fixed price dessert options by 4:30p. $200 with tip for a truly awful meal.
We have several big birthdays to celebrate this year as a family and my parents are celebrating a 40 year anniversary next month. None will be at Rustico.
Very good experience partaking in Rustico's Mothers Day lunch. The menu had something for everyone and we all left feeling full. $45 seems costly but the unlimited drinks helped make up for any difference in ordering off the normal menu.
We visited for Mother's Day when they were only offering a set menu. Everything we ordered was excellent! From the zucchini blossoms stuffed with crab meat and ricotta to the petite filet.
Unreal dining experience. We will definetly be back.
We were seated promptly. Cocktails were good. The appetizers and dinner were excellent. The staff was friendly and courteous.
It is a lovely restaurant and the food was delicious. It has a nice atmosphere.
NIce place, great food, awesome waitstaff. Little pricey.
