Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

Long wait for the drinks to arrive.
The filet was undercooked and uncuttable. Replacement arrived 15 minutes after everyone already finished their main course.
Wonderful quality food just wish you would get some sides with your entree instead of paying extra!

I was disappointed in this location last night. 🙄 Our waiter felt the need to talk to my husband when introduction the menu items. I didn't know if I was at the table or not. This is the first time this has EVER happened to us. I frequent many upscale restaurants and the waiter/waitress look at us both and speaks to us both. I believe my kids thought I was being extra once I mentioned it to my husband, but as the night went on. They too said daddy can you tell him we need more bread because he is ONLY listening too you. 🤦♀️😤 We all know that if the kids sense it, then it must be true. Food was mediocre because seafood options were REAL short. I got the jumbo lump crab cakes and they were lump but no where near jumbo. Also, no sauce to dip the crab cakes into as well. Mash potatoes.....well they were not on point. I like all my food hot once it comes to the table. Disappointed to say the least with ruth and christopher!!! 😐 WON'T BE BACK ✌🏼

We had a wonderful anniversary different! Everything was perfect.
The meal, the service and selections were all fantastic. Covid protocols and practices are clear and present reassuring guests of a save and caring dining environment. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. Kudos to Ruth's Chris and their entire team!

This was my first time eating indoors at a restaurant since Covid started. My husband and I decided to go out to dinner for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we had a delightful experience.

Everything was fantastic...our server Kelsey was engaging, professional and charming.
Perfect dinner!!! Melt in your mouth filet, delicious BBQ shrimp with bread & sauce for dipping, and great service! Felt very safe as we saw all CDC guidelines being followed.

Always a great meal at Ruth’s Chris. Our first dinner out during COVID and we were a bit worried upon arrival but everything felt very safe and with proper safety protocols. Dallas was a great server! My fillet was over cooked but my own fault that I never said anything. I’ll go back for our next special occasion.
Everything was very nice.
Very pleasant in all ways. All proper precautions were taken to protect from any chance of COVID transmission. Masks, distancing, lots of space between tables. It was our anniversary, and they made special efforts to make it a special occasion for us. We felt perfectly safe dining out at Ruth's Chris with our dear friends.

Great Thanksgiving experience
Really enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Only thing missing was the option for prime rib, other than that, the food, service, atmosphere was excellent.

it seemed like we were rushed out of there and when one of us told the waiter they did not like the cheesecake he said it is a corporate store and there was nothing he could do about it.... terrible customer service from that standpoint when it was over 300$ for the 3 of us we deserve at least a replacement
Great Food & Service !! Our server Jacob, always does an excellent job !!. We had the Porterhouse for two... pretty amazing. Highly recommended!!
Nice place. well decorated, and attentive staff. the potatoes al gratin were cubes vs. slices, and that was unexpected. Wife thought the cheese gave it enough salt, but I thought it could use a little more seasoning.
Maybe the chef has changed! Very disappointed in food. No mushrooms, potatoes au gratin was chunky lumps of potato swimming in melted orange cheese! My bone-in fillet at medium rare showed up so undercooked in the center it had to go back for more cooking. Another in the party had cowboy ribeye, also undercooked. Not up to normal Ruth’s Chris standards. Will be canceling our Thanksgiving and looking elsewhere 🙁

Our server was Henry - phenomenal job making our dinner entertaining and moving along. Very attentive and polite.
We had the whole room to ourselves for most of the night, but did notice some of the fixtures and ceiling needed to be fixed.
The steaks were tender and delicious. However, we felt like it was over salted/seasoned on the outside. It took away from the meat's flavor. Once we reached the middle of the meat, it was much better.
Cocktails were good and delicious.

The restaurant was out of the Seabass. The waitress should have known this at the start of her shift. I will return when they get seabass back!
The five of us had a great time at RC. The service was prompt and accurate as well as the right level of friendly. Since it was a birthday dinner for one of us, we appreciated that the honoree received a courtesy dissert. A great place save one issue. The lighting was a bit too dim according to one female person in the group.
