Beautiful restaurant with stunning Derwent River & vineyard views.
The original Shed was built on the Mt Nassau property in the early 1900's and met with it's demise in the 1967 bushfires. Built to replace the original Sheds were a Tractor and Shearing shed.
In 2021 work began on "The Shed" Restaurant which has been built in the exact same footprint as the original Sheds and some of the wood from the old Shed were used to make the table bases.
With our incredible head Chef Andrew Russell and our Restaurant Manager Jessica Johnson leading our team of wine and food experts, there is no better spot to sit and enjoy an amazing meal with awards winning wine.

We dined on a Thursday when the weather was cold and raining. The atmosphere in the Shed was still lovely and it was warm enough. The views are lovely even during inclement weather. We are quick diners, only a small “bite” for me and we each had a main. I had the beetroot tart, the chicken main and my husband had the fish, which on this occasion was morwong. We also shared a side of roast potatoes. It was all delicious, just as i remembered when I last dined here a couple of years ago.

A lovely experience. I could literally have eaten everything on the menu, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, and the service was nice and speedy but not rushed. It did get a little loud as it got busier but you could still hold a conversation at your table without difficulty. Another good thing was the ease of parking on Sandy Bay road, no struggling and walking for ages which is always a plus. Overall a great birthday dinner.
