This is the best restaurant in Austin. The food, wine, service and ambiance are the best. It consistently provides this type of dining experience.

Let me start by saying our server Kate was incredible. She understood the assignment perfectly. We asked for a slow Sunday lunch on dish at a time. My husband and I like to share and enjoy multiple courses. She timed it all perfectly and checked on us, just enough so our glasses were never empty and we felt so welcomed. Cocktail shrimp was cooked just right with a tasty cocktail sauce. The gumbo was flavorful and a wonderful consistency with lots of seafood. The beet salad was delicious and the red fish was cooked perfectly. She talked us into a cream brûlée for dessert and holy worth those calories. Thin, warm with a perfect sugar crust. We sat by the front window and enjoyed the light airy feel of the place. It has become one of our new favorite date spots.

Fish City Grill is one of our go-to restaurants. The food is always delicious and reasonably riced, and every day a blackboard shows specials not on the menu. On the last visit we had honey pecan-crusted flounder and blackened rainbow trout, both of which were excellent. Their fish and chips are one of my standbys. It's a popular place, so reservations are the best bet to avoid waiting in line. The staff is knowledgeable and efficient. I couldn't ask for anything more.
