The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. We had an amazing meal! The food makes everything else worth it! Our server was great and the atmosphere was lovely but we were sad when after the server we had told us to take our time finishing our drinks, the other server who did not wait on our table, came over and told us we needed to leave as they would need our table soon. We were already wrapping it up and it was unnecessary. We could tell our server was mortified. So were we. Other than that, it was beautiful celebration of a friends new job. Next time we will order and pick up!
