    We always have a wonderful meal whether celebrating a special event or just grabbing a casual bit and drink in the bar. Our most favorite server ~ Jose ~ is the best in timing, presentation and thoughtful suggestions. Excellent! He definitely make a difference in our experiences. The piano player is always fun!

    We have been to Monterey many, many times; however, we had never tried the Sardine Factory! What a pleasant surprise. Excellent ambiance and even better food. 10+

    We really enjoyed our dinner the service was great the food was great. we felt comfortable and relaxed during our meal. serving are big so be sure to save some because they have a fine desert menu.

    Highly recommend. The ambiance, food and personal service was amazing. Our server Evan and our wine connoisseur appointed Natalia made us feel like royalty. We ordered the sardine, escargot, cannoli and the baked oysters for appetizers along with the tomahawk and prime rib for dinner. It was one of the best meals we’ve had. The sardine appetizer is a must. The live music added a touch of elegance to the overall experience. We reserved the private wine cellar room and truly had a great experience. Will look forward to going black- worth our 7 hour drive.

    The service was horrible. When we finished our first and second courses our plates were left in front of us for at least 15 minutes or more. No one bussed our table without us asking. No water refills, or wine was attended to. Extremely over priced. Won't be back or make it a recommendation to friends or family.

    I’ve been coming here for many years and have always loved it but the food was overcooked and just okay. The service was good not great like it used to be. If this was my first time coming I would not come back for the prices I paid

    The Sardine Factory is a beautiful restaurant. The food was good but not exceptional as I had hoped for. I got the ribs of lamb and asked for medium we'll but they were barely beyond rare and very fatty. The clam chowder had a bit of tomato in it which made the taste slightly different and not for the better. Clam chowder is a classic so why mess with it? Overall it was a disappointment.

    We hadn’t been to the Sardine Factory in years and so glad we came back. We had the early bird three course dinner and everything was really good. My husband had the abalone bisque, shrimp and pasta and tiramisu and I had the salad, steak medallions and spumoni. Our server was Don and he did a great job along with his helpers. Oh, and I had the absolute best cosmopolitan and my husband a manhattan. Wine selection by the glass was good.
