Serpico - Philadelphia
Serving dinner only, the cuisine is ingredient-driven offering a seasonally evolving menu of playful yet familiar takes on global fare. A small hand-picked list of food-friendly wines will perfectly complement the menu and a quality cocktail program will focus on boutique spirits.
Thoughtful creations. Caring staff.
Dinner with friends - really excellent service, food was delicious as were the drinks. The sharing style really added to the conversation.
Eclectic and inventive menu, great venue for sharing to try the numerous options. Informed and attentive service. A little pricey when eating the "recommended" number of plates. Very much enjoyed.
An amazing culinary experience. It was our second visit and both times have been among our favorite meals of the year!
Just amazing. Everything. Making food an art form that I get to eat!!!
Great food, friendly service. Tables smashed together and way too small. I was hit 19 times in 60 min by servers and patrons trying to squeeze by me. No one said excuse me. Dinner was rushed despite getting a nice bottle of wine.
Serpico is an absolute must-visit. We had the ceviche, deep-fried duck leg (think bao bun), and Japanese eggplant to start, then the venison and the halibut as our mains... we licked our plates after every single course. Everything was incredibly delicious and the atmosphere is trendy and fun with the open chef's counter. We highly recommend!
Service was exceptional, very knowledable staff. Menu options were very fun. Great drink selections.
Although Food Was Very Good, Not Everything Was SPECTACULAR. I Was Truly Expecting To Be Blown Away, But I Think Food Couldve Been Seasoned Better. Also The Panna Cotta Lacked In Everything Except Texture. It Was Perfectly Creamy But Needed More Flavor. Carrot Cake On Halibut Was Seared A Little Too Long, Tasted Slightly Burnt Flavor. Everything About The 45 Day Aged NY Strip Dish Was Perfection! My Expectations For This Restaurant Being Owned & Run By A James Beard Awarded Chef Was To Be Knocked Off Of My Feet, Although Impressed By Some Dishes, I Was Not Completely Awed By Every Single Dish I Tried. Would Still Reccomend This Restaurant, Especially For The Oysters, But Wont Neccesarily Run Back.
Fantastic food-service impeccable-upper end pricing
Portions are very small but taste was good
Creative beyond belief and super delicious. A memorable dining experience
The food and presentation was exquisite !!!
We enjoyed every morsel.
The food was terrific, staff were knowledgeable and fun, and it was quiet so we could actually have a conversation over dinner. Definitely recommend for fun splurge.
Absolutely amazing food and service. One of the best restaurants in the city.
The food was amazing, second only to the service. I love it there and con not wait to go back!
What a gastro experience. Outstanding!! Unusual combination of flavors. CNnot wIt to go back.
We always enjoy our meal here. It is one of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia. Never a miss.
As I’ve said before, one of the best restaurants anywhere. Food and service is unbeatable.
Food was good, but difficult to justify the price. There are better options for significantly less $ in the city.
Another super meal at Serpico.
Overall very nice meal. Creative cuisine. Main dishes overpriced for what you get. Fun to sit at bar and watch kitchen in action.
A memorable meal. The flavors in each dish were amazing. The service was attentive and friendly. This was a special occasion, and we were surprised with a delicious birthday dessert and the end of our meal.
Serpico was magnifique...!
Special birthday occasion and the food, service and ambiance did not disappoint. Everything tasted fantastic and was presented with aplomp...!
The price tag for such delights was rather steep but the occasion dictated special and special it was..!
thanks and best, tom
Great food, great service.
Delicious, inventive food. Service was friendly and professional... waitstaff very knowledgable about menu, preparation and ingredients. Everything memorable!
The visual aesthetic, presentation, and service at Serpico is exceptional, only to be topped by the quality of food from beginning to end. While the approximate value of the dishes may be on the pricier end, it is generally worth it.
Incredible cuisine, super imaginative!
My husband and I went as a break from a long week. The food was fantastic and Michael our server made the meal even that much better with his recommendations.
Food was delicious! Portions were smaller than I expected—more tapas style—so I had to order more than I initially thought.
The food was outstanding. Although it was pricey, it was well worth it. Raw diver scallops, savory donuts, fried duck leg, king crab, venison all highly recommended. Not too loud and a great experience sitting at the kitchen. Wonderful experience
We had a great experience at Serpico! Cool vibes and decor, the staff were all professional al, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was unique and delicious and seeing the open kitchen was a nice touch. Pricey but great experience, thoughtful dishes and a great drink menu Would love to return!
Great food, although I don't think it deserves the price it asks for the food you get. It's certainly unique and has interesting and bold flavors, but you could spend the same amount at many other great Philly restaurants and enjoy it much more.
Incredible server- Michael
Easily my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Adventurous without pretension or flashiness. And the service is friendly and enthusiastic without being overbearing. Second of two wonderful experiences. Will be back next time I'm in Philadelphia, for sure.
This was our second trip to Serpico and we were very impressed. I started with the potato and cucumber soup that was very good. My husband opted for the savory donuts which did not disappoint. We split a second course of chicken and snail lasagna that was delicious. Our entrees were pan seared halibut with a layer of savory carrot cake and the slow roasted venison. And the apple cake covered with caramel sauce with vanilla ice cream over shortbread crumbs and dehydrated apples for dessert was scrumptious. We will definitely return to this gem.
The food, the staff, the service, and a bunch of other things are all great. Awesome all around. We'll be back.
Delicious food - well balanced, great flavor. Ambiance was wonderful. Open kitchen which is my favorite: fun to sit at the chefs table if you like to watch everything get prepared. Cozy bar seating right when you walk in. Highly recommend
Really beautiful, creative, special cuisine. Chef Serpico came over to say hello which was such a nice touch to top a really exquisite meal.
