Serpico - Philadelphia
Serving dinner only, the cuisine is ingredient-driven offering a seasonally evolving menu of playful yet familiar takes on global fare. A small hand-picked list of food-friendly wines will perfectly complement the menu and a quality cocktail program will focus on boutique spirits.
Outstanding, interesting food and great service. One of the best meals we've had in years.
Phenomenal experience in every aspect. highly recommend sitting at the chef's counter for a more immersive experience.
We have been twice now, wanna make it three! Delicious and wonderful!
The cocktails, white truffle honey butter, and scallops were highlights
Definitely worth the trip into the city. Amazing food and fantastic service. Definitely an experience to remember
What a great dining experience- creative menu, awesome service and unassumingly warm and welcoming. The only disappointment was that we ate too much so had to skip dessert. What a shame!
presentation was excellent, food was wonderful
Our server, Zach, explained the menu very well as well as the wine and beer
It was our 8th wedding anniversary...
The expectations are always high when we go to Serpico and they exceed in presenting us with new tastes and textures. Always comfortable and knowledgeable service that can lead you through the menu seamlessly.
This is the third visit and we felt the the overall quality of the food had definitely declined, For example, the lamb was underdone and very chewy and the bass was tasteless.
Extraordinary food. The beet salad is a fresh sophisticated version. Great ceviche.
The donuts and fish dip were notable; the soup was, too. Roasted beet was, too. The halibut with a carrot cake cap was not, IMHO; the sweet carrot, although pretty tasty, contributes nothing to the fish but novelty (sorry, Craig LaBan). A potato crust, although not novel, would make a better dish. Desserts were smashing. Service was as thoughtful as usual--probably more than I've ever encountered anywhere.
We had a fantastic meal and great service. Highlights included the raw diver scallops in buttermilk, the ceviche, and the deep fried duck leg on a potato roll. We also really enjoyed the lamb on the favs bean “risotto”. Everything was well executed and the service was spot on. Can’t wait to return.
Wow. What a meal! Our favorite dining experience in Philly. Started with the raw scallops and the Ora King salmon. They were so fresh and flavorful. Next we had the enoki mushrooms - the broth was incredible and the texture of the mushrooms akin to pasta. Then the Chicken and snail lasagna - to die for. 3rd course, we had the crispy pork belly (which my husband loved - it was a bit rich for me) and the fried duck leg - one of my favorite dishes ever. For desert we had the squash panna cotta. So crazy good. Just a delight all the way around - inventive and incredibly good.
We had an amazing dinner! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and surprised us with our cocktails. We enjoyed watching the chefs prepared the food. We'll definitely be back!
Always so wonderful! Service, on point. Food, delicious and stunningly presented. Can’t wait to go back!
Perfect son perfect
First visit to Serpico. Asked waiter for recommendations that the restaurant is noted for. We selected four choices and they were all excellent. My wife and I look forward to our next visit to sample other dishes.
The service is always amazing, but the food is simply the best in town. Prepared with care and love the team does an amazing job at executing excellence
Love the innovative options items that Serpico adds to the menu on a seasonal basis. Also happy to see the Chicken and Snail Lasagne back on the menu!
Outstanding restaurant in Philadelphia. My best during my stay where I have tried 4 different upper level ones. The service was impeccable, the quality, presentation and diversity of the plates were superior. I strongly recommend for the foodie in you. Cocktails also were great!
Amazing dry-aged duck and NY strip entrees. Great service. Quality experience from beginning to end.
Lovely, dining experience. The raw diver scallops were perfect. The savory fish donuts were also fantastic. They went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner a lovely experience. Will certainly be back again and would recommend anyone who hasn’t been here yet to try it.
Delicious! I can’t wait to go back. The sliced scallops, the soup, the cocktails,..
Fabulous, creative, healthy, inspired dishes. Go with a couple of people so you can share more and try more dishes. XLnt!!!
We had a wonderful experience with excellent service, creative presentation of food, and everything tasted great! Good place for dates, meetings, and really for any reason.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Serpico. Sharing plates gave us all an opportunity to taste so many wonderful dishes. The cocktails were also delicious. We’ll be back!
Food is very special, combinations of tastes in each dish with lots of creativity and success. Staff attentive but not overly fussy. Very supportive of our table's interest in tasting each of the dishes with additional plates. Only criticism was the noise level, too loud for easy conversation across our party of 6- was fine for any grouping of four but not for six. We had an early reservation in an attempt to avoid the loudest period, but...
The food is incredible and we loved that there are a lot of vegetarian options. Certainly one of the top 10 places in Philly. Our service was oddly not aligned with the food quality and wine. There were two waiters who were super efficient and knowledgeable but rude, short and almost seemed irritated by their guests. We are thoughtful, patient customers so it was just super obvious that their culture is off or two bad apples. Love Starr and the good, so I’ll be back!
Amazing! The service and food were outstanding. We enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching the chefs in action. Cannot wait to go back!
Such inventive cuisine and a great staff. I can't wait for my next trip to Philly to go again!
One of our favorite restaurants in Philly. The food is always innovative, exquisitely cooked, and beautifully presented. Always a joy to sit at the counter and watch the unhurried professional chefs. Hats off to the service, especially for the sommelier. His selection, and recommendation of 'natural' wines, are faultless. Who knew of orange wine? And yep, have written to the Michelin folks to recommend for at least one star.
The prices are excessive. I wouldn't go regularly because of affordability.
The chef should suggest a few paths through the menu
The menu should be in a larger font. Folks with resources tend to be old enough to need reading glasses.
Amazing food, solid service, great menu. This was our 3rd time at Serpico and we will be back again soon. Delicious meal and a great date.
Great evening with super food options!
The cuisine at Serpico is superb! Hospitality is warm and very attentive. If I lived in Philadelphia I would be a “regular” at Serpico!
Waiter and the young lady who was shadowing him (training) were both fantastic. Not to take anything away from the excellent customer service from the waiter and trainee, but the food was phenomenal. I will be back again for food and service and everything in between. Thank you Serpico.
Serpico is always wonderful. Creative fabulous-tasting meals in a space that has simple warm ambiance and service that isn’t obtrusive and when present is efficient and relatable and friendly/helpful!! Only great things here!!
Went in with moderate expectations. The look, feel, and ambiance when you walk in was excellent, unexpected, and exciting. However, the food didn't quite back up this vibe. My drink was great though, I just say. The manager, host, and runners were all pleasant and excellent. The waiter was okay.
We thought the food was fresh and inventive, however the service was rushed, and for a $200.00 dinner, we don't want to be rushed. We felt this from the moment we walked in when we were hastily seated, then by our server who talked super fast and was clearly in a hurry. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend, so perhaps they were short staffed. I'd be willing to give it another try because the food was so good, but only one more. There are tons of restaurants in the city with outstanding service, we don't want to spend our restaurant dollars and Saturday night in one with less than anything else.
