The restaurant’s unique name comes from an extended essay by English art critic John Ruskin. The "lamps" refer to the seven principles of architecture: sacrifice, truth, power, beauty, life, memory and obedience. Inspired by the essay, Co-owner and Executive Chef Drew Van Leuvan recognized that these important principles are also very applicable in the kitchen as he "builds" plates.

The food was delicious, service was great and fast. There was a very loud (and likely drunk) party that really drowned out the room. But it wasn’t too unbearable. The waiter brought over free desert with our check, which was much appreciated.
Overall great, chill date spot.
Among the best meal that I or my guests have had in Atlanta. From the mushrooms to the mussels and from the fish to the soup, every dish presented a journey of flavors and textures - expertly executed. I have found this kind of culinary quality missing at most of the regions restaurants. This is all to say that mine is difficult palate to stimulate. But stimulation it ushered- and more. I found the cheerful maitre d ( I think the gm) a bit informal as well as a tad too loud and exuberant, but it was a minuscule price to pay for the gustatory pleasure that was to ensue.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the food
Great atmosphere, amazing food great wine.
Neighborhoody vibe but elevated. I can’t wait to go back!
First time dining @ Seven lamps. The mussels were some of the best we have sampled in the USA and the broth with the andouille sausage was terrific. The cottage fries were a great addition to the mussels. The trout was very good. Vinny the manager was very helpful. We will come back.
The cocktails and food were delicious. Nice rustic atmosphere with communal table setting. Do not recommend if you want to have a private conversation.
The Charcuterie tray was exceptional. The blend of flavors was “ the bomb”. Wine from Spain, great choice.
As all others have stated the Lobster Brioche, was over the top. The only down point.... the noise, oh the noise...
Had some yummy butternut squash stuffed pasta with browned butter and sage. Quite delicious! Will go again.
We love this place. All the food we had was amazing. Beef cheeks, mussel chowder, cottage fries, brussel sprouts and the list goes on!
Love the food here. I had the agnolotti. It was sweet, Spivey and savory. Delicious
Server was kind and attentive. The mango & cucumber salad, the main mussels chowder and the cottage fries were all delicious!
The location is definitely doable. The restaurant itself is nice, chic, quaint and peaceful. The customer service was good. However the food was blah, bland and not many options. The drinks were just ok. The menu changes daily which I wasn't aware of so what I had expected to order was not on the menu. The allow you to book for large parties at 9:15 p.m. but expected us to all be there and ready to order before 10 p.m. (again who knew that and why book parties that late if that is the case). No one was ready to order because the menu was not what we read previously (again we didn't know it changed daily). The menu items itself are also annoying because they try so hard to be fancy that everyone had to keep asking what a lot of the items where and the pairings of the food was not good together. No real choices for any appetizers and the the meat and cheese they do have all are pork. At best if I were to return it would be to meet friends for drinks but I am not the one in the group who drinks so I won't be back.
Pricey and food quality overrated. Hot Oysters were too spicy to enjoy.
Amazing food and even better service! Do yourself a favor and order their home cut fries with their mayo. Oh my!! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Atlanta
Great atmosphere. Especially outside when the weather cooperates.
I am a concierge at The Whitley Hotel. I must say the food at Seven Lamps was outstanding! The half portions were a perfect size. We had the Artesian Cheese appetizer, Black Spaghetti, Tortellini and Carrot Cake and all were spectacular! The Pinot Giglio complimented our entrees nicely. Our server, Brittanie, was extraordinary! She knew the menu well and offered superb customer service. In addition, the manager and another staff member stopped by our table to introduce themselves and check on our dining experience. I will definitely place Seven Lamps on my highly recommended list.
I love this restaurant! Never been disappointed. The mussels are to die for!!! Sooooo good!
Fun setting with creative joint tables in a small space. Great blend of flavors for the food.
Never got in. Got to the restaurant and it was closed. No warning
The restaurant was closed due to a "plumbing problem" They shifted our reservation to the next night. But they were still closed the next night also and they never call us to notify us that they were still closed.
First time we dined here.
Nice, coz atmosphere.
Priced a bit too high.
Would come back
Sat outside as it was a beautiful evening. Service was excellent and not rushed. Brussels, Beet salad, chicken and spaghetti squash were delish! I’ll be back.
Drinks were expensive and food was good but expensive for what you got
Kinda hard to find but loved it once we did. Tons of choices for both our vegetarian/vegan and our carnivore. A true find!
Food is good but too salty!! Wish you had more vegetable options!!!
We got the lobster roll, tuna tartar, and butternut squash tortellini. All were delicious and the tortellini was a real stand out. If you like butternut squash and pasta this one is a can’t miss. It did take a while for the food to come out but overall we enjoyed our dinner and will be back.
Hostess went above and beyond to accommodate our early arrival. Excellent ambiance outside and a fun vibe. Service was excellent even with a full house. Food was disappointing but we enjoyed our experience.
The food was delicious, service personable, and overall a great dining experience!
Very tasty food and creative ways for satisfying hunger. Their salads are different yet delicious.
We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday. Drinks and food were very good, but we wished there was a larger dessert selection!
Fantastic experience; tasteful dishes with well crafted and thoughtful ingredients and combinations; from salads to sausage (ground and smoked in house) the time and detail for food is evident; cozy communal style seating also fun and romantic; drinks well prepared
Absolutely an amazing experience. Food was great, craft cocktails were on par. Couldn't have asked for more!
Had a great meal. Food was delicious. Our server was friendly and caring. Manager was making sure everything flowed well.
The area AROUND LENOX continues to re-invent and thrive. Seven Lamps is tucked into the corner and a bit hidden. Looks to have a lovely outdoor seating area w heat lamps. Cozy dining area that isn't too big. We were between server shifts I believe and we did have a little delay in service. However, our Culinary Club enjoyed our dinners...lobster bun was magnificent. I had the trout --well flavored. We were all too full for dessert. There were 2 choices along with a couple different gelato flavors. I would like to try this place again and sit outside before it is too blustery.
Would recommend...cool restaurant with a good vibe. Excellent wait staff. Food was really good.
Enjoyed a Friday evening meal: delicious food, friendly and great service!
The menu had some really nice choices. The cod fritter was and excellent tapa to start with. I enjoyed my old fashion style whiskey drink choices...the 57th I had two! Ambiance was nice for a casual date, or by the looks of the crowd, larger groups as the seating set-up was longer tables to share. Wasn't an overall busy night, we sat right away even with a reservation. The server however I think forgot about us, kinda of a bummer. We initially only order the small tapas to share and our drinks which came out in good time, but then we sat finished, stacked plates to the side which sat there as well, and waited at least 30 mins just to order the 'main', which took even longer to come out. The gnocchi was excellent! I bartend and my gf is a server, we know what being weeded feels like, looks like, and patience, or when its just missed. The group of 3 next to us, who joined the table after we sat, finished dessert while we still waited. What likely should've been an hour for dinner ended up closer towards an hour and 45. Benefit of the doubt though.
