   Limited menu but assortment of appetizers plus salad and satisfying (but not large) hamburger made for an excellent pre-theatre meal with outstanding service. "Duck Wing" specialty was a novel taste hit and everything else was at a high level of consistency. Exceeded our expectations.

   Had a nice brunch with my mom and brother. Sebastian the bartender is great. Had a nice egg and bacon dish. Good vibe. A little warm but the weather has been strange for winter. Would definitely come back

   We loved our server, Angela! She took such great care of us and helped to make our Valentine's Day dinner just perfect. Calamari appetizer was good but a little over cooked. The lime aioli though... was insane. My boyfriend's salmon was incredible, as was my surf and turf. Would come back again!

   We went to Square 1682 before a Philadelphia Orchestra performance in a Saturday night. They offer a $40 3-course option which was delicious and a great value. The cocktails were also a hit. We will return!

   Diners had to wait a long time before everyone was served. It was awkward for folks to wait for one person’s salad to arrive. Curry cauliflower was pricey for a bland, mostly rice entree. ambiance was perfect for relatively quiet business lunch.

   The hostess was warm, friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was at best disinterested. Once we sat down, no one came over for at least 15 minutes, and that was only after we asked. Our food came out at room temperature and was ok, but not interesting or particularly tasty. Our waitress barely came by, didn’t refill water, even when asked. I would l share who the waitress was, but she never bothered to introduce herself. We will not be going back there again.

    I came to Square1682 on a Saturday night. It was during restaurant week. Every table was full and all the severs seemed to be attentive. I didn’t care for all of the foods I got (the calamari wasn’t seasoned and my salmon was a bit salty). But it was okay because our server was awesome (many thanks Angela!).

    I had booked a lunch reservation for restaurant week. Looked at the menu online and everything. Got to the restaurant and they didn't offer the lunch menu. Just brunch. It was ok though. Ordered the duck wings and waffle, and I was not disappointed. Very flavorful, the wings were crispy, and the waffle was golden on the outside and moist on the inside. Almost cake-like. The sauce on the wings mixed with the syrup on the waffle was delightful. My friends had the American Breakfast with a side of grits. And let's not forget their Aperol Spritz was just the thing to get the afternoon started.

    The skillet cornbread is amazingly delicious and addictive, the salmon was tender juicy and cooked to perfection, the staff was attentive and extremely accommodating.

    I have no complaints! This wasn’t my first time here and certainly won’t be my last. The staff is kind and friendly, the menu is always interesting, and the food is always good! Will be back again :)

    Everything was ok… Decided to try this restaurant during Philly’s restaurant week and my overall experience was blah. Service- not bad but had to remind my waitress to bring items requested. She wasn’t as attentive but she wasn’t horrible. Food- Steak was salty, Caesar salad was so bland, mashed potatoes were very delicious. Ambiance- again not bad, seating was a little tight, had to go up 2 flights of stairs for the restroom.

    I decided to take my daughter into Philly prior to her return to college…decided on this restaurant from those suggested for Philly restaurant week….all my usual favorites were booked, so I decided to try this one….it would have been nice to know it is in a hotel…we walked around several times trying to find it…restaurant is relatively small, and it was not crowded on a Monday night; service was on the slow side ; our waitress seemed more interested in sharing what was on her phone with the host than attending to her tables; we had the red pepper and tomatoe bisque and the ricotta toast as appetizers…very good….mu daughter had the amazing half roasted chicken which she loved; I had a very tiny “entree” portion of the gnocchi….not very good….hard, cold and not much flavor…wouldn’t go again

    Me and my family walked in and immediately the vide was not there if felt like they we treating us differently then the other family’s . The host had no manner .” The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” she had a cool nose ring. My waitress try to sending us out while we were eating. And my food was so bad that we couldn’t eat it I had to get my family fast food on the way home . Then they put the check on the table we weren’t ready I felt like there was some alternative motive cause my skin color I am proud Asian women thank you for your time!!!!

    While the manager was amazing, my server was not attentive. She disappeared the entire meal and only came to take my food order and showed up again because she had forgotten what I ordered. I was waited on by the manager and bartender who both really stepped up. At about 9:45 pm I asked my server about my desserts that came with both my meals and she apologized but at that point it was near closing time. I did let the manger know that thought I am a repeat customer, my boyfriend was not impressed. For me the service is usually exceptional, I found out that the server had a family death by her own admission. While I am sympathetic, I don't believe coming into work was the right thing to so. None the less we tipped handsomely based on food experience alone. I will be back because I come to Philly for work monthly, this was a first negative so I am willing to try again.

    My experience at Square 1682 was nothing short of amazing. The ambiance was so beautiful and peaceful perfect for my date night. The food was delicious everything that we ordered we enjoyed every bit of it and the drinks are 10/10. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

    From drinks through dessert, this was one of the best dinners that I've had in a long time! Not a single disappointment: the curry wasn't too spicy, the deserts weren't too sweet. And the service was very good too. The fact that the bar was busy toward the end of our early dinner meant that it got a bit loud, but not overwhelmingly so.

    We had brunch there on Sunday. The avocado toast was disappointing. The peaches on the cobbler french toast had too much cinnamon--to the point where my son couldn't eat it. The huevos rancheros were excellent. The server was not very attentive. A few times I asked for service and was told to wait, although she was also waiting for something and had time to help us. I used to wait tables and try not to be critical, but I was unimpressed. I had also made a reservation the night before and in my notes asked for table NOT next to the kitchen, but that's where they seated us.

    I was in Philly for a work event. Found this place on yelp and was ready for a good brunch. We showed up at 10am for our reservation and were asked to wait.. odd but fine. I don’t know our server’s name because well, she never told us. We were unenthusiastically greeted by a young woman in rose glasses. We ordered our drinks and minutes later our food. Drinks weren’t out 20 minutes later. We asked the server who had quite seriously avoided us since then and her response was “yeah it’s not up to me”. Huh? No apology? No “let me check on those for you.” Another 5 minutes goes by and our food comes out, still no drinks. As you can imagine, receiving a steak before a mimosa seems odd but hey, she’s not making drinks or food so let’s just touch back with our server. She walks by and simply says “yes?” I informed her we were still waiting on drinks and she said “yeah.” Huh? We let who I can only assume is the host/manager know that we would like to cancel our drinks. Again, no apology about the service just a “okay.” Moments later the drinks make their way over (now it’s 10:35am) and the host says we can “have them because we don’t want to pour them out”. Lol ok sure? Still NOTHING like “sorry it took so long” All and all the food was actually pretty good. I sort of wanted to dislike it because the service was awful but in the end I really enjoyed the meal. I’ve been in the service industry for 20 years and they made us feel unimportant, rushed and unheard. It was really disappointing.
