Featuring local "farm to table" cuisine using a breadth of farmers in the Missouri and Illinois communities. When asked to define of The Crossing, Owner/Executive Chef Jim Fiala often says that he is a chef that buys locally whenever possible and cooks as any French and/or Italian chef would given the ingredients sourced. Joining Jim is Chef Thu Rein Oo who brings passion and years of experience to the kitchen. Our food is fresh, organic (whenever possible), seasonal and by design very simple. The Crossing stays true to classic techniques and the chefs love showing off their skills and passion for elegant food.

Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore. The Four Seasons St Louis is partnering with James Beard Award winning Chef Gerard Craft to bring you Cinder House. The menu centers around the kitchens 14 ft wood-burning hearth. Located on the iconic 8th floor of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, Cinder House showcases sweeping views of the Gateway Arch and downtown skyline.
“Some foods taste so much more complex when cooked on a wood fire,” Craft says. “Grilling is a universal technique so the menu reflects many different cultures but the food will be heavily influenced by the grilling mecca of South America.”
Craft’s focus on simple foods with bold flavors is highlighted throughout the menu and includes several steak selections and rotating grilled items. From grilled pickles to grilled lamb ribs in soy, lime and garlic with a mango-honey glaze, dishes feature enticing techniques and flavors.

    Amazing dinner experience. The steak was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and simply delicious. In addition to a fabulous strip steak, we enjoyed oysters, calamari, scalloped potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes. I appreciated the complimentary dessert for my birthday too—their cheesecake is fabulous! Service was top notch too!

    My friends and I celebrated a birthday dinner last night. Our waiter was absolutely stellar. (I am so embarassed I don't know his name) The food is spectacular. I had Shrinp and Grits that never disappoints. My friends had Salmon and Prime Rib and everyone totally enjoyed the meal. I think the food is worth every penny. My only complaint is that the dining room when full (as it was last night) get noisy. This isn't someplace you go for a nice quet evening. That being said, we spoke louder and enjoyed every bite of our delicious meals.

    Great location in Clayton which we visited to start the New Year with "bubbles" (champagne)! GET THE BEIGNETS with butter rum sauce! We, also, had the St Louis Omelette & the Classic Benedict which were scrumptious. Good Bloody Mary, too!
