My husband and I enjoyed the overall experience however our steak was so drowned in garlic butter and salt we couldn’t eat it!! The vegetables were good! My husband only took 2 bites off his steak! I choked down 2 myself!! Really disapointed in the chef and how our steak was prepared. My husbands first visit there and he probably won’t go back. I really hate that because it was our evening out and we Went through the Christmas lights and made reservations for dinner in advance. I have been to the restaurant on several occasions in the past for holiday suppers it was superb with the most delicious well prepared food, excellent service, beautiful ambiance with the fireplace and Christmas tree. This time was a terrible disappointment in our steak! I’m so sorry I usually give a glowing review but not this time. Rose Newman 466 Fussell Rd. Leesburg, Ga. 229 881 0394 More

Great food, excellent service! Wide variety of food for brunch or a full dinner. We enjoyed the day very much. Two young grandchildren came with us (ages 7 and 9) who enjoyed it but only ate a small amount of food, thus the kids' price was expensive, we thought. All the employees were wonderful, very attentive and responsive to anything we needed. We will definitely come again. We go to the Christmas Brunch at Callaway's almost every year, and have for a long time. We are very lucky to have Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain! Thank you for a lovely Easter afternoon! More

Discover Pine Mountain

From authentic country cooking to fine dining, Pine Mountain has plenty to offer. Georgia and the Pine Mountain area boast many iconic Southern food dishes, a staple of which is shrimp and grits. The shrimp is usually on a bed of cheesey grits and often topped with bacon, sausage, tomato and butter sauce, a fried egg, or bell peppers. Georgia also claims to be the birthplace of Brunswick stew, another iconic Southern dish. It is a thick, tomato-based stew with vegetables including lima or butter beans, okra, and corn. It is usually packed with chicken, pork, or beef although traditionally squirrel, rabbit, and opossum were also used.
