Breakfast | Locust Point, Baltimore

Went on a Wednesday @noon. Wasn't crowded, nice atmosphere. We ordered french toast, pancakes, oatmeal, fresh fruit and a blueberry Roostart with coffee and tea as beverages. Food came pretty fast, hot and fresh. Pancakes and french toast were nice and fluffy, tasted great with the "spiced maple bourbon butter" and a bit of syrup. Oatmeal...well...is oatmeal(steel cut) nice texture though, not too dry or runny or lumpy. Fruit side was fresh and tasty. Now, the Roostart...there's some controversy with these from some of the reviews I've seen. They're NOT Poptarts, if you(or your kids) are expecting them to be, you'll be disappointed. The crust is basically pie crust, lighter and flakier than the firmer, more"doughy" Poptart crust. The filling, again, is basically pie filling and not like the thick, "jam like" filling of a Poptart. So, if you think more of an "individual pie" than a Poptart , I think you'll be more in the "ballpark." Waitress was courteous and efficient. I think the prices are a bit high, but nothing outrageous by any means. Overall I'd give it a solid 4 stars and am sure I will stop in from time to time when I need a "breakfast fix"...especially in the middle of the day! More

It was a quaint little restaurant....nice, pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The food was deeellliiiccciiiooouuusss!!! We enjoyed everything we had gotten. The Chicken and Waffle Nachos was so good that we ordered one to go. We tried the Cronuts and my were they delicious as well.....got an order of that to go too. The service was wonderful despite the fact that he was doing double duty as the bartender. This is a great place for friends to get together and enjoy great food along with great company. We plan to visit again soon. More
