Excellent service. Food was authentic BBQ which was unexpected in Jersey, but a welcome surprise! Whole family enjoyed the meal! Support the restaurant!

Service seemed a bit slow for the small crowd there at 6:30. There would be live music later so I assume the noise level would climb.

While I wouldn’t recommend this joint, I also wouldn’t discourage someone looking for a fast non-lethal meal from giving it a go. Admittedly, my party of three was seated in the back room away from the bar and “action” but, we were seated at a huge round table designed for at least six. Service was lackadaisically inept. The menu showed promise but, didn’t deliver. The so-called Ribs” were puny and dry. Sides are not mentionable. Having spent considerable time in the South and Texas, I have been spoiled by dining on the best of the best BBQ. SuziQue you are not close.

Other than a really friendly waitress this place we had an awful experience. The live band was a bad as the food, though quite a bit louder. Absolutely nothing served tasted good, though the menu descriptions were quite tempting.

I had reservations they’re was no one available to seat us upon arrival. It also appeared that there was one waitress working she needed help the bartender had to bring drinks to the table, while we waited for our food

The food is good! They take care of you very quickly.

The waiter was great but the food was nothing to brag about. The live band was in the way. You had to walk over them just to use the restroom.

The place was cute & had a lot of potential but the service was SLOW & absent most of the time, we had to get some things for ourselves off the other tables ie: utensils, salt & pepper etc. I wanted a cocktail but they couldn’t make it because they didn’t have the mixer, so I had to choose something else. Our food came, mine was wrong & some parts of it were raw! My husbands burger was over cooked & dry. Maybe their best items are their BBQ... so if you decide to go there try that & nothing else!! I’ve worked in the food service industry for 10 years so I can say this place needs some fine tuning & they should get it together. We were only there to see a band play- which they double booked & both bands had to split the night. I wouldn’t go back... good luck if you go!

They ran out of ribs and let us know after waiting about 40 minutes for entrees. The brisket was excellent but the service on this day was very poor.

My son and I tried this out, but were very disappointed.

Our order came literally in 5 minutes. And the reason why is it wasn’t hot, barely warm. My well done crispy fries order wasn’t neither hot nor crispy. Iced tea was different-very lemony flavored.

And the place was cold. We kept our winter jackets on. Staff was wearing heavy sweaters.

I tried this resturant because it was one NJ 2018 best places to eat. The customer service was excellent. I went right after work on a Thursday, so there was no crowd, which meant the service was good and quick. I ordered the barbecue spare ribs, which is obviously premade, however, they were not hot at all and I think that took away from the taste. I ordere the rum punch, which the waiter indicated was a nice strong alcholic beverage, it was not. It tasted like it had no alchol whatsoever and I'm not that much of a drinker. it was just an okay place to go to me.

The food wasn’t very good and some of the items on menu had be discontinued. The prices are too high for the quality of the food.

Nice, casual atmosphere. Food was okay. The sides of collard greens and cole slaw were very good. The waiter we had was essentially missing in action - but another person stepped in to help our table. Went for the band - which was great.

What a gem it is! To host a 16-piece band with great repertoire and hot jazz trio in your neighbourhood without traveling to NYC, is a treat!! I wish more people will discover this best kept secret in West Orange, NJ.
The hostess-proprietor Suzy is friendly, hospitable and makes you feel right at home. Food is delicious, big choices of drinks, reasonably prized meals!
I certainly will recommend you to my friends without any hesitation.

A diamond in the rough. Suzy-Que's has the best barbecue around and great service. Prices are very fair and portions generous. Haven't been there for live music, but they feature well-know jazz players.
I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves authentic barbecue!

The food was amazing, not really a fan of the sauces they have, but i wouldn't let that hinder the experience. Food came out in a timely manner and the portion are large, so it would be a good idea to maybe split between two people, especially if you are getting the combo. I also recommend that you get the cheese cake as well. Delicious!!!!!

Great tasting food , nice local place to go get something to eat , and the drinks was on the money, also had nice patient waitresses, I would go there again, and you get your money's worth for what you are paying for.

Not everything on menu available. I asked for the shrimp and grits and was told not available due to the fact that the chef did not have the recipe. However, you could get a side of grits or shrimp on the menu.
BBQ chicken was not as good as it used to be and the brisket was dry. Was hoping for better.

Sat down at 630 PM and ordered almost right away. After an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting the only thing to arrive were funny tasting waters, a totally flat soda, and one salad with soggy croutons. The tables next to us who had been sitting for longer than us finally got their food which was described as being inedible, reasons ranging from being burned and the meat being so tough it couldn’t even be cut. At this point we decided to leave, the acting manager tried to make things better but alas there was no way to fix this. Maybe it was a bad day for them but I would not recommend SuzyQue’s to anyone and will not be back.

normally its good here but 1. their smoker was not working right and the food came under cooked - no heads up from staff. wrong move. 2. its a friday with a popular band - 1 bartender? she was crushed doing both bar and table service!! thats just being cheap.

It was Mother's day, I took my Aunt and Mother and it was not very pleasant. There was no option for menu items, we had to eat overpriced cold buffet food. Some of the food was decent but overall a terrible deal I was very disappointed. I should have went to Deltas as I originally planned.

Waited for hostess about 15mins, then waited at least another 15mins before a waiter took our drink order, then when that didn't come my husband caught the attention of a bus boy, only to be yelled at, "ASK YOUR WAITER!".

Last straw....we left.

Another GREAT time at SQ's. Always have the best local bands (for free!) and nobody can touch their barbeque.

The music was excellent and our server was great. The food was plentiful, but not as warm as we would have liked it.

The fried chicken wasn’t cooked throughly. The drinks could’ve been better. The chicken roll was really good.

Service from the door and throughout eve was comnendable. Quantity and Quality of food was impressive. The meats were especially delicious, being both tender and savoury. The live entertainment enhanced the experience.

The restaurant didn't have my reservation on their records. However, I showed them the open table reservation confirmation on my phone and they were able to quickly accommodate us.

Online seating issues, we were placed in the bar by the bathroom. We were there for the band that was playing that night. Would have appreciated better accommodations as we were returning customers. Will not be going back.

It was cold in the atrium we asked for heat but it never happen The band wasn’t bad service could have been better but the server did apologize Food was okay

We had a blast at Suzy Que's. Our waitress was nice and friendly. The food was excellent and it arrived at our table pretty fast. We went on a Friday night and the live band was awesome. We even had a friend from our group, party of 8 to sing along with them. Overall. I would recommend that you go and dine there. You won't be sorry. Good good and drinks with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We love this place... a good local BBQ spot... the only problem is that the food is so good, that we always overeat! :)
This place definitely rivals Dinosaur BBQ and I love that it's just a town over!
