Lovely service and great food with unique flavors. My dad is older and can't always hear well but the music was great and quiet enough not to impact conversation.
Best place for brunch. Great ambiance, food and service. A hidden gem.
Wonderful service and excellent food, knowledgeable about food allergies at the table and worked with us to make sure our diners with celiac could eat safely.
Had a reservation for dinner in the dining room but due to private event taking more space than anticipated we were asked to sit in the bar/lounge area. It wasn’t necessarily a bad experience, just okay.
The setting on the back patio was amazing! Great find
Had a party of 9 that grew to a party of 14 for brunch and they handled it beautifully. Great food and service! Most excellent!
We not only loved the breakfast we want to come back and stay there.
Wonderful food and service !!!
One of our favorite DC restaurants. Halibut was outstanding
Great ambiance, service and food. I have been going there for years.
Food and service is delicious. I love that they have brunch everyday.
We were here just for brunch. An excellent brunch choice in DC. Had dinner there several years ago and we had our marriage reception there 20 years ago. Never disappoints. A quirky, unique, little retreat in downtown DC.
Patio was beautiful! I've been coming to Tabard Inn on and off for years and the food has been better in the past.
Helpful friendly staff! Delicious brunch menu. Looking forward to returning!
Had the veal and it was delicious!
Such a vibe!
My wife & I ate on the outside patio, it’s a nice space with comfortable chairs. We started with the burrata in a red wine vinaigrette over vegetables, it was delicious. My wife had a peach Bellini that she enjoyed. I had beer & coffee. Their coffee is better than most restaurants. My wife had the shrimp & grits, she liked it although the Tasso ham was a little spicier than she prefers. I had the chicken an churro waffle, it was good but I think I’d go with something else when we go back. Prices are very reasonable & the food is good, all in all a great dining experience
Absolutely amazing! The food is tasty and the atmosphere is perfect. The patio is spectacular and the people are friendly.
Food was fabulous. Cool, quirky atmosphere. Would eat there again for sure.
My groups and I had a wonderful dining experience. The manager and hostess went out of their way to accommodate us to sit outside.
Fantastic we will be back.
A classic! Never disappoints. This quaint and charming locale has been impressing me and my guests for years. The caesar salad with blackened shrimp was a perfect summer lunch, both flavorful and light yet very satisfying too. I loved the addition of the poached egg on top, and I even enjoyed the anchovies which I am not always a fan of-- but they had them laid on the side so you could take as much or as little as you liked... I ended up eating them all :)
Quaint spot, full of character, with a creative menu and well-prepared dishes.
The veal entree is special! Hidden gem in dc
three of us ate inside on a blistering hot evening. The service was efficient and friendly. Two of us had soft shell crabs, which was prepared perfectly and were delicious. One had scallops on a bed of noodles and vegetables. We had a quiet table, well distanced from other diners. Absolutely no complaints about anything. Food was delicious; service efficient and courteous.
The lowest level, that’s where I ate,
has no ambiance & desperately needs some sound absorption material.
10/10. Would definitely recommend for Sunday brunch after a nice stroll. Looking forward to returning on my next trip to the Capitol.
Wonderful, as always. I'd never been for brunch, but their doughnuts were delicious and the cream cheese scrambled eggs were light and flavorful. I was so happy to have the chance to introduce my friends to this local gem.
Our party of six loved the outdoor space created in the back of the Inn and the space created between parties. The food was great and the service was excellent and not intrusive Thanks for a great evening.
A new favorite of mine. Clever cocktails and an eclectic take on a classic setting.
A very pleasant return with the usual great greeters and service. DO wish the entree list could be expanded, and that each is not as pricey. But the outdoor terrace and guaranteed good service means I'll be back and back and back!
Tabard Inn is always good value and a pleasant venue for a meal.
A lovely and unique dining experience. The entrés were remarkably good and the dessert was exceptional.
Authentic place with a great service!
Tabard has retained its unique character and delicious food for many wonderful years. It’s always a pleasure.
Charming atmosphere and attentive staff. Food was very good. Was surprised by how small and weak the cocktails were. Maybe order beer or wine? But other than that, the evening was great, and I would recommend eating at Tabard Inn! You can tell they care about their patrons!
The staff was prompt and very friendly. The food was superb and delicious! Especially the honey biscuit.
The menu looked great along with the cocktail list. Unfortunately service took a long time. The cocktail I ordered definitely did not have one of the major ingredients in it (amaro Montenegro - a very distinct taste) and was pretty bad. I ordered a second drink, I was asked what kind of bourbon I would prefer, and asked if they had a list. I was given a list of after dinner spirits, none of which was any type of bourbon, and when that was pointed out it was not rectified and was given a shoulder shrug. Some of the food we ordered never came, and was never acknowledged until we inquired about it. The food was fair, and in all likelihood I would not go again.
Friday night dinner.
I reserved a table outside for lunch. When we arrived we were told outside was reserved for a private event. Would have been nice to be told that in advance so we could make other arrangements. We sat inside instead, which was dark, outdated and unappealing. The food wasn’t spectacular either. I do not recommend the burrata salad. Unfortunate since I used to love this place.
‘Twas tha shiznit. Oh happy happy days!
