The food is always delicious. The pasta with crabs was notable and the salmon was as cooked to perfection. The noise level was unbearable. A table of 10 women should be seated in a separate room!!!
Overall the food was great. However my partner had the pork chop and it was on the fatty side. I had the scallops which were very good.
Food was amazing! Only con was the prices. Went here before seeing a Broadway show and the service was great and we made it out in plenty of time. We both got the chicken entree and the mustard and salsa sauces were amazing with the chicken. The potatoes are basically French fries and then it came with asparagus. They brought us out complementary rolls from the kitchen that had a donut type consistency with tomato oil and butter on top and they tasted like pizza. Dessert was also amazing. The carrot cake with the ginger ice cream and the donuts were out of this world! If you don't mind splurging a bit on a great dinner and a pretty garden ambiance, I would highly recommend !
Don't miss Talula's Garden! You will not be disappointed--excellent and interesting food and top-notch service!
I went to Talula’s the first time 4 years ago. And I have not stopped thinking of our experience. Therefore, this is why my next time in Philly, this restaurant was a must. It was exceptional.
To a certain degree feels like a Fogo de Chao for foodies. The food is very good and the service is at tentative but there is a little bit of a sense that you are in a conveyor belt
Outstanding, memorable dining experience. From the first bite to the last, hated to see the meal end.
Always a wonderful experience!
We enjoyed the most delicious Fathers Day Brunch . The menu was excellent , so hard to choose . We started with the fresh fruit bowl and French toast ; both were so delicious and amazing . For our main course we chose the frittata . It was a beautiful presentation with roasted potatoes and salad , all prepared just perfect . The brunch made for a very nice Father’s Day celebration . We so enjoy Talula’s Garden !!
The hostess recommended seating outside. It had downpoured earlier and I was reluctant but we took her advice. So happy that we did. The garden is cozy and relaxing. Such a beautiful spot.
The food exceeded our expectations..from signature cocktails to cheese board to main brunch courses, perfection. Perfectly seasoned entrees. Savory and sweet. Will return for dinner.
I feel like I found my new "go to" place.
Amazing! Got this tip from a friend, sealed a reservation on line, and it was exceptional. Decorations in the place were quaint, waitress was super nice and professional. They inadvertently brought out the appertizers and main dishes together and then proceeded to apologize profusely and comp us for all the appertizers. How nice was that? Food was scrumptious. All homemade, all carefully prepared and served, and so delicious.
Went for brunch to celebrate my birthday. The service was wonderful. Well executed and accommodating. The food was delicious but expected for higher end brunch location. Drinks were unique and tasty.
Talulas was amazing! Service was excellent and the food was to die for! I will definitely recommend to my friends and will be coming back myself
We love Talula's Garden! From our outstanding server, Tracy, to the outstanding food, it doesn't get
any better. Thank-you so much for the deliciousness! hospitality and overall wonderful experience
$24 for eggs benedict with “crabmeat” in quotes because there was almost none of it at all. I don’t mind paying for good food but please give me what I am paying for. Portions were otherwise great and everyone liked their meal.
Nice atmosphere outside- had Fathers Day brunch.
Went for Father's Day Brunch....had regular brunch menu...which I liked. Service was VERY slow considering it wasn't that busy. Our reservations was at 10:30 a.m. Food was excellent, as usual. Just not satisfied with service. We will def go back!
I had an excellent evening at Talula’s Garden. Our waitress was very lively, helpful and patient. She gave us a lot of input on our food and drink options as it was our first time there. The dinner was absolutely delicious. We had the meatballs on ricotta (I believe) toast and strawberry goat cheese salad to start, and they were excellent and light enough starters before our main courses. The entrees themselves were also very, very decadent. Our dessert, the caramel cookie and ice cream, was mouthwatering. And of course the garden was absolutely gorgeous on this spring night.
My husband and I always love going to Talula's. This is the first time we had to sit inside due to the weather. Inside the table's are very close - I felt like when I had to get up I was sticking my backside in the next tables faces. Other than that everything is always spectacular.
The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. It was hard to have a conversation as it was loud and crowded. We were seated too close to our neighbors. It even made getting in and out of our seats difficult. Portions are on the smaller side, but delicious.
I loved Talula's Garden - we were there celebrating my graduation and our waitress (really the whole staff) went above and beyond to make it a very special night. So, so appreciated and can't wait to go back again!
This was our fourth or fifth time at Talula's Garden, and once again it was phenomenal! My wife and I started with a cheese plate - amazing. We then split the tuna crudo, lamb pappardelle, and pork chops with grits. All three dishes were excellent. My wife finished off the night with the carrot cake with ginger ice cream and loved it. The coffee and cocktails were great too! Our server was friendly and attentive. We have also appreciated how knowledgeable each member of the service staff is of the elements on the menu. This place is a foodie's dream! We can't wait to save up go back!
Creative food in a beautiful setting. Varied menu with many delicious locavore choices. The cheese boards are a must-order. Pacing of courses was a little bit slow, but overall service was excellent.
My husband is extremely frugal. Although this place is expensive, it was the first time he ever said that the meal was absolutely worth the money. Everything was perfect.
Great food, impeccable service that was timed out well without feeling rushed or with gaps. Glad we did a cheese board: they were all fantastic.
Beautiful place to celebrate special life occasions
Talula's Garden was outstanding. The food was so well prepared and the flavors were perfect. The executive chef seems to truly care about the food that is being served as everything we had was proportionately sized and so flavorful. Our server was very personable and took great care of us.
I appreciated how real everyone was. Sometimes with these types of restaurants you have stuffy servers who are paid to be extra nice, but at Talula's the staff were relaxed, genuinely kind, and professional, just the way it should be.
My wife and I will surely be back to enjoy another amazing meal and experience.
This was our second visit to Talula’s Garden. On our first visit in April we thoroughly enjoyed the wine selection, cheese plate choice, food (hubs had the steak & egg, which he loved, and I had the chicken, which was just okay) and the outstanding service. We were seated inside during our first visit. It was loud, but still enjoyable.
We decided to go back again to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This time we were seated outside. The space s very appealing on a beautiful June night and we were very happy that they were able to fulfill our request to sit outside. As usual, the service was outstanding. Our server Nicole was attentive and gave great recommendations. She also gave us a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. However, I think she did it only after accidentally bringing a bottle of champagne to our table with a card. After I read the card I let her know that I didn’t think the champagne was for us because we didn’t know the sender on the card.
We ordered The Perfect Plate cheese plate. Sadly, it contained 3 very disappointingly bland cheeses, that didn’t improve with accompaniments. For dinner, both my husband and I ordered the Steak & Egg. According to the first time my husband ordered it in April, it was served medium rare and was delicious. This time it was served closer to medium well. All the flavor of the steak was gone. The bland potatoes didn’t enhance the dish either. With all the great dining opportunities in Philly I don’t think we’ll be returning here again.
The tasting menu was AMAZING! It's an experience. I definitely recommend it - the wine pairing also was well worth it - generous pours and perfect with the dishes. Excellent!
We loved everything we ordered and the service was impeccable. I'll be dreaming about those duck confit crepes for a long time. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Philadelphia.
Our favorite restaurant for celebrating a special event.
The food we tried was nice, but not extraordinary or outstanding (with the exception of the dessert- strawberry cheesecake). So in my view, compared to other restaurants in Philly with similar food, it was overpriced.
The service and the ambience, however was excellent.
Great cheese boards Excellent duck Very weak wine list with low level selections and massive markups but this seems to be he case everywhere in Pennsylvania Something to do with alcohol laws
Excellent food and service. Not inexpensive, but for a special occasion or if you want to impress, a truly great spot. We ordered the tasting menu. Be forewarned; it is a lot of food!
Amazing! Flavors were amazingly matched. Atmosphere was beautiful, staff wonderful.
The space is beautiful and the food was delicious, but admittedly a tad on the expensive side
Sensational food, great service, ambience, and we had an amazing time... I recommend every single dish on the menu!!!
By all means, sit outside! What a lovely garden to sit and enjoy the gorgeous weather.
Food was delicious. Service is impeccable. Place is gorgeous. Special kudos to the reception desk.
$23.00 for an omelet, potato, small green salad. Bread of any kind was not offered at brunch. Seating in garden is way too tight.
