The eggplant and pasta were so good.
As always, very nice evening. Everything was yummy. I had to ask for bread to eat with my mussels/broth, but no biggie.
First time there. We will deffinelty be back. 4 of us went for dinner and we all loved our meals.
Love the food, and the wine. Authentic Italian. Delicious
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. One of my favorite Italian restaurants.
The staff and food was great . The ambience was inviting and cozy. Thank you all for providing a great space to celebrate the love of my life! God bless.
Great dinner to end the week and decompress.
Great place to go with friends or date that you want to talk to. Noise level is perfect.
Always good, consistent food w/ a changing menu. The wait and bar service is always friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to book last minute or plan a special event. Great mix of Italian regional cuisines w/ other fresh options in fish etc
A longtime favorite that never disappoints
New Year’s Eve
Slow to clean the tables or check back to see how things were. Very loud inside.
Loved the food and service. Great neighborhood spot
Our server, Bella, was excellent. The food and drinks to include desert were fabulous.
Not great - fish was underdone, ravioli was Luke warm and chicken parm marginal.
Great place for small or large groups. Both the food and service are excellent.
The Fusilli is amazing! And enough food for two meals!
Tarantino's and John's personal attention to detail never disappoint! His 2018 Holiday decorations are his best yet!
Server knew nothing about wine, actually told us the special wine was something it wasn't and we were really disappointed when we got the bottle.
Love dining at the bar as opposed to tables. Such fresh pasta totally al dente and delicious sauces. Fish cooked to perfection. Been going here for years but hadn’t been lately and remember why I used to dine here so often.
Such a great night dining at Tarantino’s. This is our favorite place. We have had our girlfriend holiday dinner there for the past 20 years. Love the food, the service and the atmosphere. Miss the oatmeal martinis though!
Brought my kids out from the suburbs. Delicious
Solid Italian fare. Good, not great. Friendly but somewhat inattentive service. Great ambiance.
Greqt food and service
It really was great food and I enjoyed the atmosphere too. Casual but you can go for a special occasion too. Good service.
Pleasantly surprised by the high quality food, attentive service and convivial ambiance of the room. We dine quarterly with a group of four friends and rarely find a restaurant that solicits high praise from each member. All in our group vowed to keep Tarantino's in their regular rotation of great places to dine.
If you would enjoy what I think is an overpriced pedestrian meal by all means, go.
We loved our evening!
Tarantino's is a favorite because it is dependable, the food is great, and it is in the neighborhood. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and also personable. This is one of the Lincoln Park restaurants I recommend often because I have never had an unpleasant experience or disappointing meal. Highly recommend!
Food was incredible, great service and beautiful interior decor
There were seven of us for dinner and everyone loved their food! The owner came over welcomed us and thanked us for coming!
Solid Italian in a neighborhood setting. Inviting and lively. Food is great here.
Tarantino's is outstanding—food, service, and all. Every time I have been here, the food has been terrific (especially those oyster appetizer and the black pasta with seafood). A great place for a date, small get-together, or group.
always wonderful and delicious dinner. great ambience
I love Tarrantino's. The food is great, and it is close to home. The one downside is that is loud. It is difficult to have a conversation. It is a small restaurant, and if the table next to you is loud, it can be disruptive.
Very nice casual dining and good food.
We've been dining at Tarantino's for 15 years so its a note-able moment when we can't provide the usual high marks. As long-standing guests what happened, we hope, is an anomaly. If not, its marking a moment when additional training may be beneficial. My wife ordered salmon for dinner and when it arrived she grimaced at the first bite.
It was cooked beyond any reasonable temperature, and had nearly the characteristics of jerky it was so dried out. I flagged down the waiter to explain and he kindly offered to refire. But my wife wasn't interested in sitting there while my daughter and I ate dinner, so she politely declined. The waiter appropriately said he would remove the charge from our bill.
But as an expert in retail experience I have to say it was a moment lost. This meant my wife, who received bites from her family, was not going to eat dinner. Had the waiter been more empathetic to this situation there was a glaring moment of opportunity for delight & surprise. Had there been recognition of this he might have offered her a beverage or comped a dessert, or offered some option that could be prepared in minutes. But nothing...
So you might say the restaurant did what it was supposed to by taking the cost off the check. Yes, but I was struck by the absence of any further effort to address the loss of her dinner. Loyal customers are a cherished asset and if it had been my restaurant I would have made a few other things happen, without being asked, to create a smile and advance past the disappointment.
For the record the other entrees were terrific, and otherwise the service in general was spot on.
Tarantino's never fails to impress. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere and service are top notch.
I can't wait to come back.
This is a neighborhood gem- it’s cozy, great outdoor space great in summer, but I like the vibe all year! And it’s fine to eat st the bar! Food is consistent and ambiance warm and friendly. Casual and upscale all at once!!!
