The food quality is just not there. It’s okay at best. Thankfully our waitress and the ambience were good, but the food was nothing special and definitely not worth the price.

I had the salmon and my friend had a falafel.

I was visiting from out of town and dining alone. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I went with their food recommendations and loved every bite- the mushroom soup and scallops main.
I enjoyed the atmosphere- saw other people bringing in their own wines to enjoy with dinner which I would try to do next time!

Our server was exceptional, food was great. We probably lingered a little longer than we should have but never felt rushed. Wonderful spot to meet up with friends.

Beautiful setting. Good service. Three in our party ordered the Quinoa bowl, it was almost dry, very little tahina sauce, falafel balls (three) good. Frise lettuce and large sprigs of parsley, also without dressing not very flavorful. Friend ordered hot mushroom soup which he really enjoyed. Peanut butter sorbet for dessert, delivered to the table 1/3 of it was melted, after three bites could not finish as it was too sweet.
Not the best in terms of my experience with meals at Terrain Garden café where I have had several meals. Perhaps something was off over the holiday weekend.

We celebrated my birthday brunch this weekend & really enjoyed our meal. It’s always a little loud in the greenhouse seating area due to the enclosed space & diners enjoying their libations. The food was delicious & they even presented me with a birthday candle in our dessert🎂

It was a unique experience in keeping with a garden theme. The food was different than the usual fare and excellently presented. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I had been here quite a few times in the past but my guest had not. She was very pleased with the entire experience.

Not very hungry but wanting to go out we chose Terrain for a very casual but celebratory meal. BYOB so we brought champagne we’d been saving and had it with lamb meatballs and as a second course, another appetizer of goat cheese and beet croquettes. We also ordered the charcuterie and cheese plate, very substantial. The hot bread in the pot with butter is always welcome. We shared a delicious slice of vanilla cake with embedded berries and the thinnest layer of buttercream (?) and lemon curd as a dessert. Altogether satisfying!

The ambience at the Café is beautiful. I found the several meals I’ve had there over time that the food is mediocre at best and is overpriced especially for the lack of quality of what you’re getting.. Philadelphia is a food rich area with so many talented chefs, they could really do a lot better. Save your money for shopping and eat somewhere else.

It’s gorgeous and the service was great, but the avocado toast was meh. Uneventful, not flavorful and the toast was mushy. I added an egg for more flavor and even that was just meh. The color of the yoke couldn’t have been more pale yellow. I always love the ambiance and their attention to a healthier lifestyle, but their food flavor game needs to step it up a notch.

Went for lunch the other day. First thing I'll say is the Terrain Burger is a wonderful burger. I'd go back just for that. Now for the rest. The place has wonderful ambiance....but it was really quite noisy. Hopefully it was where we were seated. The waitress was very friendly and helpful (especially since it was my first time here) We started with the goat cheese and English pea croquette. We were both disappointed at how dry it was....and without a whole lot of flavor. My friend had one of the Bowls with chicken and really seemed to enjoy it. As I said, my burger and fries were delicious. The waitress had asked earlier if I would like to add bacon or avocado to my order. I ordered the avocado, but it never came. So I had them remove the charge. The food is pricey....but I thought the $18 burger was well worth it.

Food that is flavorful and interesting, excellent service , unusual decor. Our only complaint was the noise level in the greenhouse dining area, which was so loud we had to shout to be heard.

I love the store Terrain and I want to love the restaurant but it really doesn’t live up to the hype or the price tag. Most of the food is bland and very expensive. The best part of the meal is the bread which our waitress forgot and then brought out cold with our appetizer. I would love to see them update the menu. This past weekend was probably the last time I’ll go there for dinner.

We went on a very hot day after Longwood gardens so we were really hot and overheated. We were seated in the garden room which is not air conditioned well. We asked for cooler seating and they were so pleasant and accommodating. Service throughout our meal was exceptional. It is somewhat over priced but food was really good. Not an extensive menu so options are limited. Like that it's a BYOB though.

I would only recommend this place to people that I know who can afford it. It is extremely overpriced for what you get. Seriously $13 for a slice of bread with toasted garlic and cheese. On another note the mushroom soup was outstanding and the atmosphere was beautiful (but noisy) like having a fancy bbq out side.

Our first order of the Breakfast Board ($20) came out with everything cold, or slightly warm. The sausage was hard and barely cooked. So when we finally got the waitress attention she offered a re-heat, or a new platter. I opted for a new platter. It came out and was only slightly warmer. The sausage was hard and the bacon was like a board (like the Breakfast Board). Only the eggs were hot. I might order something better the next time or try breakfast at another place. Sorry to say, it was a little overpriced for the quality of the food.

We were given a gift card for our anniversary. It was lovely. Website said “smart casual” & people were there in shorts & workout clothes. Ordered the cheese board & was given the farm board. Had several waitresses, wasn’t sure who was ours. Extras were offered on the steak dinner but the price for the extras (shrimp, scallops & fries) were not clearly presented. It took awhile to get our final check too.
Overall, a very nice experience.

There was a long wait, some of the food offered was foreign to us...we had to ask questions. For the price we paid...it definitely was not worth the price and not very tasty. The salmon was delicious...but nothing else tasted good. The fries someone else had were extremely salty. The best part of the meal was the dessert.

Normally very reliable, though this felt like an off-night. We were seated in the ante-room, not the main greenhouse, which was a bit disappointing for a special occasion, which we had noted on our reservation.
Service was very slow, especially with the restaurant not being full (it took 30 minutes for our order to be taken, and we tried earlier and our server asked us to please wait to order). Most food was good and creative. My chicken was a bit dry, but the accompanying farro was very good. Dessert was outstanding - order the chocolate terrarium! It's still a great menu, and I'll go back, but I'm hoping for a better table and a better server.

What a pleasant surprise to find this little gem tucked inside a unique Nursery and garden center wonderland.
Our table was inside a greenhouse and the decor and ambience transported the Diner into a woodland retreat.
The food was exemplary and most things locally-sourced. The cheese platter is a must as were the fried chickpeas and kale . The only downside was the front desk personnel who were a group of four young girls who were less than welcoming and terse. Perhaps some additional First Impressions are sometimes all you get. That was the only disappointment in an otherwise wonderful experience

I love the location and the ambiance at Terrain. I think there could be a few more options on the menu - to add proteins to a salad (maybe that was an option) and while more expensive a place the quality of the food is high, so that is appreciated.
