The level of service and food is consistently high and never drops from their very high standard. Always a pleasure to eat at the French Table.
Always enjoy visiting the French table when we are in the area. Just wish it was nearer.
As always - fantastic food, in a lovely setting with a buzzy but refined atmosphere.
The French Table never fails to disappoint. We had booked a table for six and were seated at a round table. Despite the restaurant being packed the service was excellent as always. The set menu is excellent value for money and the house red wine was very pleasant.
Great welcome, great food - beautifully presented by efficient and attentive staff - and amazing value for a first class weekday lunch
The French Table is the best restaurant in the area. Four of us chose differently from the £45, three course menu and every plate was delicious and different.
Please go out of your way to visit.
Exemplary presentation (nice birthday touches!), cuisine and service, at a good price compared with the competition in Kew and west London.
The tasting menu was well-composed and the wine selection also good value. We liked the composition of the smoked eel dish and the hake (though the portion of fish was miserly!).
Great chocolate souffle, though not sure the white chocolate parfait works ...
Great service , great food, great atmosphere!
The best eating experience for miles. Food, service and wine really excellent.
Beautifully presented food with amazing flavour. A really memorable experience.
Attention to detail to wish my husband a happy birthday was lovely. Only slight disappointment was the table being right next to the door to the restaurant.
We took my wife's sister for her birthday treat, she was (rightly) so impressed. We had the 5 course set lunch tasting menu which was first class in every way as were the wine pairings. You cannot beat the French Table for high quality and value for money with excellent service on top.
As always, the food was beautiful and beautifully presented. It's lovely to have a menu where it's hard to choose, rather than one where it's a case of thinking which one do I like.
All excellent in terms of food. I did think the service was a bit lacking re bread and drink orders. But I still think this is a go to place for great food at great value
What a wonderful restaurant, it never fails to deliver a memorable evening. The food is stunning, the atmosphere inviting and the staff welcoming and helpful. It's a treat worth saving up for.
Never a bad (or even an average) meal here. Always outstanding. We had the three course menu (although tasting menu isn't that different in price) and every dish was exciting and outdid our expectations. The staff were all so super lovely, the wine list is huge, the restaurant is not the biggest but that's what I love about this place. Cannot wait to return. Thank you TFT for being so amazing as always x
Lovely restaurant amazing food & very attentive service
We had wanted to experience the French Table for a long time. I received a voucher for a big birthday so made the most of the opportunity. Well we were not disappointed. Went for lunchtime dining. We chose the Chefs Taster Menu. The food and drinks were amazing. The service was impeccable. We left trying to think of another special occasion that we could use to allow us to go back.
From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome, nothing is to much trouble. Food and service was excellent.
An lovely anniversary lunch at the always excellent French Table. They remembered it was our anniversary without prior notification and the food was superb. Great value for the quality.
We had the 5 course tasting menu & wines. All was excellent except that our table was right next to the door so there was lots of traffic past us and it was occasionally drafty. Suggest to ask for a table away from the door downstairs.
Definitely 5 they looked after us beautifully and the food excellent. Great choice.
Another fabulous meal ....... only hiccup was the temperature of the room which was sweating hot. Needs better ventilation or use of air con.
As ever we enjoyed a lovely meal here. I loved the crab starter. Always appreciate restaurants that bother to vary their menu a bit.
As always, a wonderful experience. Truly a treat.
Wonderful dining experience - so fortunate to have an excellent restaurant for those special occasions. As the menu is both varied and affordable the French Table can also be an option for lunch with friends. Thank you for a memorable occasion and compliments to the chef(s). See you again soon.
The French table is a wonderful restaurant. The staff are welcoming, attentive and professional. The food is amazing and there is a calm yet terribly efficient atmosphere in the restaurant. This is the ideal restaurant to celebrate something special. It never fails to impress.
The food was excellent as was the wine and we could not fault one thing. It is not cheap and it would have been nice to have a two course option but then we would have missed the delicious deserts. Its also good to be able to buy carafes of wine as that was all we wanted.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and that of friends. We had a personalised menu and a message piped on each of our dessert plates, which our friends had never experienced before, so it made it a very special evening. The food, as always, was gorgeous and beautifully presented. We
usually go for lunch, but it was lovely to go for dinner and still excellent value for the quality of the food.
Top quality food in a lovely setting, served by friendly and helpful staff.
The restaurant was very crowded, so much so that we needed to pass plates to each other as certain parts of the table could not be served.m by the waiting staff. The table next to us was so close you could not help being part of their conversation. I think that sometimes profit is placed in front of patronage - shame because the food is still excellent but for the price I will choose Chez Bruce or similar
Fabulous local restaurant for a special treat. My husband and I enjoyed the Tasting Menu and paired wines. We felt the food was better than some Michelin starred restaurants we have been too for other treaty meals. Would definitely recommend.
An exceptional restaurant, with great attention to detail. You are welcomed promptly, seated, offered a menu and a drink. The menu is varied and interesting, and the quality outstanding. Throw in a great wine list and knowledgeable staff, and you have a great dining experience. Highly recommend.
We have been to TFT many times. The atmosphere, the service and the quality of food is easily up there with many Michelin star restaurants we have been to.
This visit we had the tasting menu with paired wines. Each course was delivered and explained perfectly and the paired wine was such a surprise. It’s very rare to have a Greek white wine or a matching cold red. Perfect!
Another memorable night. Thank you.
We went for a friend's 60th and had the lunchtime taster menu with matching wines.
The whole experience was first class, service, food and wines.
You really can't beat the quality and value at this excellent restaurant
It was my nieces birthday, and the French Table is her favourite restaurant. Everything was as we had hoped, the food, the service, the attention to detail was all great; even down to a happy birthday desert with candle! A very enjoyable lunch. Thank you so much
So nice to have 3 new dishes on the specials - all of which I loved - and we always like the extra touches when visiting for a special occasion. The food is always outstanding.
The food within the sufficient choice of the set lunch menu was beautifully cooked and presented; the duck "special" was excellent. As ever in this restaurant the service is extremely efficient, without ever bring intrusive. Overall, a totally enjoyable and relaxing lunch at a quiet table with space.
On Wednesday 16 October 2019 I visited TFT and experienced the tasting menu for the first time which was excellent. I also took the paired wines option which was a mistake. My reason for this is that the amount of wine is minimal and certainly does not allow you to flavour the wine fully. The wine arrived already poured which is not how I like my wine to arrive at the table; it does not give the diner the ability to see the bottle, determine the freshness of the wine and get a good wine experience.
Excellent restaurant for a special occasion. Food delicious although not French. Small, cosy restaurant. Very popular. Quite smart.
