The Ginger Man’s menu accommodates people of all ages with everything from grilled cheese to entrée-sized salads and two to three fish selections daily. The Ginger Man features 23 taps, 80+ bottles and a well chosen wine list from small and large Vineyards around the world. The Ginger Man’s burgers and beers were voted “best burger” and “best beer selection.”

Staff was excellent
The tables were well spaced. The food was served quickly, professionally and hot. The service was very good. This is a perfect local pub. Highly recommend the GingerMan.
Great. Ran out of NA beer which was only bummer but Great experience
Overall just a lovely experience. The atmosphere and ambience was so cozy and nice. Food was fantastic and service was great!
The first time I came here I enjoyed myself. Second time around I brought my husband and had the worst experience. They sat us upstairs in an area which we noticed they were only seating people who maybe looked like they didn’t have money as well as young people or Greenwich kids. The service was okay, thank god the food was good but I don’t think I would come back anymore. Anyone else that came upstairs to be seated also noticed what the deal was about the restaurant. Picking and choosing who sits down stairs in the high end area isn’t right at all. Definitely expected better for this place, especially since I wanted to show it off to my husband.
Very quick service, enjoyable experience. Cannot wait to go again
The food is not very good
I am sorry that you did not have the best experience with us. Please give us a call (203)861-6400 so that we can discuss this issue further and allow us to remedy the situation and give us a second chance.
Food was excellent
Service not so good
Cocktails were not so great. Had a margarita and it was not a craft cocktail for the price. Maybe its a beer place...
Hi KristenR, We apologize for your poor experience with our cocktails. We take a great amount of pride in our cocktails and especially our margaritas, as I've personally developed this recipe for the past 20 years. This recipe has used all fresh ingredients. I greatly appreciate your feedback and ask that you please call me at 203-861-6400 so that we can remedy the situation. I'd be happy to even share the recipe with you. Thank you for your feedback - Stephen Melnick 203-861-6400
Susan, the long-time server is always a pleasure. My salad was fresh, nicely brewed ice-tea, shrimp was plump and sizeable with a warm fire to boot! Bravo for the Ginger Man!
Osseo, Thank you so much for your feedback and your private note. In almost 30 years in this business I can honestly say that there are only a couple of people that I have worked with that are irreplacable, and Susan is definitely one of them. You can always request her section. If you ever have any questions or issues, please ask for myself. - Stephen
Sunday brunch. Food was well-prepared. Bloody Mary was a little too spicy. Server did let my date taste it b4 ordering—she decided on wine instead—but I ordered one!!!
really nice. cozy place. fireplace perfect for a cold day.
Second time I have gone there in the past 6+ weeks. It is worth the trip!
The food was not good. Greasy bar food.
Pre holiday lunch-perfect in every way. Seated in back room by fireplace-best seat in the house! Everyone enjoyed their meal (crab cake sandwich, fish & chips, hamburger). Server super nice and didn’t rush us at all! Covid dining done right - we will be back.
Great spot in Greenwich. Pub style with a nice fireplace in the back. Great menu and wide assortment of different beers. The food was very good and so was the service. I'm sure we will be back, even though we are from out of town!
The food & the service were terrific. The Lamb Pastrami sandwich was such a nice, unique surprise.
Sat in back room with fireplace. Minimal tables, had a cover booth.
Very nice menu, good food & value. Staff was attentive but no rush.
Look forward to a return visit.
Birthday dinner
Everything was great, they need more comfortable seating and heaters for outdoor dining.
Highly recommended. Excellent food, service and ambiance
Poor customer service. Had a outside reservation and they could accommodate our request. Seated us twice 1) right next the an amplifier of a performer, 2) on a table that the plates would slide off of if we didn't hang onto them. The manager could care less and made minimal effort to try to resolve the issue. Had dinner at a great restaurant a little way down the street.
The food at GM has consistently been delicious for quite awhile. Their drinks menu is especially good.
Didn’t honor reservation. Said trainee made mistake.
...One of my favorites...
Great food. (Salmon with saffron risotto is delish!)
Good service makes a meal taste even better.
I suppose this was a COVID issue, but apparently we had to be seated outside, under the makeshift tents, when we stopped in for lunch. We had asked for a quieter space, which the hostess did as well as she could (there is traffic going by, since we were basically on the street). Unfortunately, the staff soon seated a large party of loud talking adults and rambunctious preteen boys right next to us. We also noticed that one of the neighboring business had placed a trash bag on the sidewalk in full view of the dining area, and nobody bothered to clean it up. You'd think that somebody would have removed it.
I ordered a draught beer, which was decent, but from the appearance of the beer in my glass, the bar staff apparently doesn't rinse their glassware to a "beer clean" state before use.
Overall, though, our food was decent, and the service was fine. The atmosphere wasn't quite what we wanted, though.
This is one of our favorite places in CT. The service was great, but the outdoor seating could some more landscaping.
Just ok. Understand the Constraints due to the virus epidemic but menu totally lacks any creativity. They advertise brunch on their website they should remove that until I prepared to serve brunch on Sunday. Experience just OK when I return maybe
Came for Sunday brunch with a friend whom I hadn't seen in a long while. The food was good, but not excellent, but the experience was, nonetheless perfect. Service was lovely--by which I mean not pretentious and efficient. We were seated in a quiet corner near the fireplace and were able to stay, without anyone acting concerned, for more than two hours. Very, very much worth what we paid for: in fact, the experience was priceless.
As soon as the COVID plague has passed, we'll be back.
Retirement lunch
Menu and food has significantly improved over their basic burger and beer. Some very creative dishes - love the pesto Mac n cheese - and best variety of salads in Greenwich. The burgers are consistent ( been coming here for 17 years) and are very good. Generally a quiet place to enjoy a meal except for Friday evening when the bar scene can be overwhelming. Service is generally satisfactory. Nice people too.
Favorite date-night go to. Relaxed atmosphere with great food.
Great date night. Comfortable setting. Easy going staff. Good wine and food.
Happy hour went too long and too loud. The upstairs was not open.
Here for lunch during the week. It wasn't full, but there were lots of people ... and we had no problem having a conversation.
The waiter was great helping me pick a wine I liked. The Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp was delicious - as were the grilled asparagus. The sweet potato fries tasted good, but they weren't crispy.
My friend wanted Sangria, which wasn't on the bar menu, so he told the waiter how to make an easy version of it - which they did, and it was good. Both friends were happy with their food orders.
Parking in Greenwich is always a nightmare, so that's a drawback, but I would definitely go back to Ginger Man.
Great salads. Loved the Mac and Cheese so much. Yum! Great service.
The restaurant has a nice rustic ambiance. We had reservations and were promptly seated in the back room. We waited 10 minutes before someone approached us to take our orders. We did not have to wait long before our drinks and appetizers were served. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our dinners. We waited almost 30 minutes before our food was served and it was cold. I called one of the bus boys over and complained that the food was cold and he took it back to the kitchen to warm it up. He must have told the manager our complaint because she came over to us to apologize and she wanted to give us a dessert on the house but by this time we were annoyed. Our waiter finally came over and wanted to know what was the problem. In the whole time we were waiting, he never came over to us to see if we needed anything, not even another drink. It seems that they are light staffed and are not able to provide proper service. I had noticed another patron, before we received our food, return her food as well to heat up. We noticed that other diners sitting near us were not very happy because the service is horrendous. It is a shame because the food was good but due to the lack of service, we will not be going back to The Ginger Man.
The food is decent but some of the items were over priced. Pleasant atmosphere.
love this place, cosy, beautiful food, warm and inviting....and love the fireplace
Very noisy. Music very loud.
