Overpriced for the overall experience. Ambiance was lacking. Food was excellent but presentation was dated.
Fantastic service. Since it was during the week, we had the table area where we were located to our selves. Very romantic. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
Have been dining at Greenfield for many years. Always consistent quality food.
Attentive service. Chef John sat and chatted with us. Cocktails done right. Fresh ingredients expertly prepared. We can count on one hand the restaurants in Lancaster that compete with the rest of the world - the Greenfield Inn is one!
Wonderful. I had preordered bellinis for the table and they were there when we arrived along with a birthday card and a lovely tiny arrangement of flowers
i am never disappointed.
Ask to sit in dining room, was told only available was table in bar, right next to the very loud piano and all the clanging and banging from the bar. Soon after sat down, another couple came in and said can’t you find something nicer. Answer was “ no problem” and out they went. Nice Easter dinner that had been planned for weeks and first time out in a long time.
Love the restaurant been there many times for brunch 1st time for a dinner. Was there with my partner loved my crab cakes but the steak by friend ordered was very tough
and he didn't care for the vegs that were cooked al dente. Service great and the owner and his wife stopped by the table and talked. They remember us from doing brunch. In there defense my friend should of ordered his steak med instead of asking for it to be slightly pink. Will definitely be returning.
Delicious Easter dinner with great service, value and ambiance.
Highly Recommended, great service, very good food!
Really good food, great service and great atmosphere.
The service here was excellent. The food however was not the best...very expensive but not the best quality. It offers a nice atmosphere and is in a good location.
Delicious food, attentive service!
Had a great time; food was presented well and delicious, great service and enjoyable atmosphere - could talk at a more than reasonable voice level which was welcomed. Definitely one of the more upscale dining experiences I have had in Lancaster.
For years the Greenfield Inn has been consistent in their delivery of fine dining and our most recent visit was no exception. Food quality, service, wine list and ambiance never disappoint.
Great service by Christian and wonderful food/wine
Very nice. Food was delicious. Great atmosphere
The food was wonderful, came out timely, good wine choices. Dinner specials were very good! Love the piano music, the pianist is very accomdating!
It was so nice to dress nicely and go out to a place who really knows how to make dining special. The Greenfield always serves with class.
Very nice. The food was incredible and prepared perfectly. The value was great for the high level of culinary excellence!!
Great place, I proposed to my wife (years ago) there and the server was brilliant. Only one issue, you do not offer any vegetarian or vegan dinners and a restaurant of this caliber should, others do.
Food was delicious! We are from out of town and visited Lancaster for our anniversary. The Greenfield came up as a popular restaurant and it did not disappoint! The place was so charming and everyone we encountered was just lovely. We ordered the filet mignon and the sea bass with the calamari appetizer and it was delicious! We will definitely be back!!
Food was delicious and covid precautions were enforced.
The food and service were excellent. The staff we so nice and made sure to make the experience the best.
First time visit for our 28th wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. All staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and everything was very clean. The food was delicious. We have the cheese board and drinks to start with. Very good selection of local cheese with fruit, nuts, honeycomb (very yummy) and a sweet bread. My husband had the crab cakes and I had the special sea bass. All was perfectly prepared and plated. We were too full for dessert! We’d definitely go back.
Everything from the appetizer course to dessert was delicious and did not disappoint! The service was impeccable and the staff even gave us a card signed by everyone for our anniversary celebration. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know that will be visiting the Lancaster, PA area!
Food was delicious and when we are back in the area I will be eating there again for sure.
Excellent food, service, atmosphere. Highly recommended
Although everything was amazing, one thing that we were a little disappointed in this time is that I made our High top seating on March 2nd for Friday, March 19th @ 5pm.
We love the high tops near the bar and like that it is an actual option for the Greenfield when booking....upon arrival we were taken right past two empty high tops, I told the girl who sat us as we passed them, that we had reserved the high top, but she said oh they are both reserved. So I was confused.
One couple was seated soon after, but the other high top we normally like to sit at was unoccupied till closer to 6pm..So not sure if Open Table and their Booking system are in sync? We did enjoy our little table near the window & the piano and like I said it was very enjoyable as always.
We arrived at 430 p.m. as we had an event at 7 p.m. Greenfield staff were warm and inviting. We were not rushed. Our orders were beautifully presented and delicious. We really enjoyed the pianist also.
Had the corned beef and cabbage special. Perfectly cook tender with al dente carrots and potatoes. Cait was awesome as always.
The food is awesome. Well prepared and presented. Nice portions. Not too formal, but also nice enough to dress up. Tables are a little closer than I had liked, but we were also in the middle of the room. Value for service and food is hard to find

First time, will come back. Hopefully soon with friends next time.
Great food and very engaged and helpful staff. Would put into my regular rotation of fine restaurants!
A delightful lunch...Christian is a very nice server!
quiet-good distance and safety precautions- soup was great-
great to have a relaxed time without feeling rushed as we each drove 1.5 hours yo meet up!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post the excellent review, with the 5 star rating!! It really made our day. Your patronage is invaluable and we sincerely look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back soon...
The atmosphere was nice, but we were seated by a door to the outside patio positioned in the bar area. The service was slow, the door was mediocre as the scallop dish I ordered was watery when served. The dessert also was subpar and disappointing. My wife felt the same in regards to her filet mignon.
Nice atmosphere. Food was just "okay". Salmon on the salad was very good. Calamari was average at best. The grilled chicken on the salad lacked seasoning/flavor. The crab cakes were crisp and good on the outside but the inside was soggy and "mayonaisey". Selections for Chardonnay by the glass are very cheap varieties. I would have expected better by-the-glass selections.
I wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars, but the service and the kitchen made two considerable errors that affected the score. This was our first time at Greenfield Restaurant. The food is outstanding, and it is evident that the chef is top-notch. However, I ordered the scallops and *crunched* my way through shells. When I brought this to the attention of our server, I was told "I will let the kitchen know." When nothing happened, I told another server, who said the same. No one came out of the kitchen to inquire, nor did the manager come over to the table. I hope this review brings this to the attention of the owner and the chef so they can ensure the experience is not repeated with another customer.
