The Jamesport Manor Inn Jamesport like on downhill it is not the same as it happened. Sorry it was not friendly at all the food was less than fair. Very disappointing will never return
Although menu was limited, we enjoyed everything we ordered. Service & ambiance was very good.
It was our 55th anniversary, and I mentioned it in my reservation. Thought they would acknowledge it with a dessert, or something on the house, but they didn’t 🥲.
Excellent service, good and quiet atmosphere.
Last night my husband and I had a very lovely and delicious dinner at the Jamesport Manor Inn. It had been a hot day, but a gentle breeze was blowing on the patio and we were not feeling warm. The waitress was professional and friendly, very efficient, and the cocktails were just the thing. My duck was prepared just the way I like it, medium, with juices running a bit. The sides of polenta and snow peas were a perfect counterpoint to the savory duck. My husband had the tuna, rare, and by the way he scarfed it down I think it was very flavorful. We'll be coming back...soon I hope.
Absolutely perfect place! This is a hidden gem with beautiful ambiance and delicious food.
The initial impression was quite high upon our arrival since the inn is so quaint. The server was so lovely, friendly and professional.
We all enjoyed our drinks that were generously filled and I especially enjoyed my glass of rose from a local vineyard. Our salads were delicious and the baked crusted Brie was a big hit!! Ironically we all decided to have the same entree almond crusted fluke that was outstanding. There wasn’t a morsel left on anyone’s plates. 5 star lunch all the way! We can’t wait to go back.
I’ve eaten here three times and the food is very good. I’ve ordered the same appetizers and they are consistent in their preparation. Overall, very satisfying dining experience. Staff is attentive and friendly. We prefer to sit outside if we can as the property is lovely.
Always excellent! Always!
Always a great experience. I recommend the brie for appetizer. So delicious!! The roasted chicken and seafood pasta was also great.
The backyard is beautiful in the summer, and the food is very good. Gets quite buggy in the evening but our waitress was kind enough to let us finish our meal inside.
I come here rather often. Wednesday night it was just a midweek dinner to catch up with a friend. It was moderately busy. The ambience, decorating and detail is so pretty and cozy. We had a fantastic dinner. There's nothing that isn't terrific on the menu. It changes seasonally. The waitress we loves was working, her is Hayley. We feel like we' very missed something if she's not there! This is a wonderful place for a special date, anniversary, birthday, etc. They definitely know what they're doing.
We were so pleasantly surprised - had never been to this restaurant before and loved everything about our experience. Friendly, warm and welcoming staff, great, attentive service, delicious food, and reasonable prices all added up to a perfect evening with friends. We will definitely return.
A nice dining experience for our anniversary. Thank you!
Never a bad experience here. The food is always fresh and well prepared, service is friendly and efficient.
Such great food and very friendly staff.
Wonderful dining experience. Both food and service was excellent.
Our waitress was terrific.
Great food, the two of us had the duck and chicken. The restaurant took note of the message regarding a birthday and they made sure to put a candle in the dessert. Our waitress was a true professional and the whole staff was amazing. A little pricey but worth it.
Greta service staff, above average food, Desserts are outstanding.
Loved it. Always dependable. Great service and food.
It was a Sunday, 4 pm reservation. They have a limited menu. We have not been here in a long time so we wanted to try it again. The restaurant itself is very unique and a nice interior. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded yet there was no Bartender to make any mixed drink and only our very good waitress, Kerri who made a basic drink as well. She was the only waitress for the entire restaurant. They were out of the fluke on the menu and no burrata in the appetizer. She was very good! The weakfish substituted for the fluke and was “ok” but not much flavor..the duck breast wasn’t very good. The Brie appetizer was good. We ordered the chocolate Torte for desert to share and frankly, for $11 it was a joke. I should have taken a picture! It was a small disc, about 1/4 - 1/2 inch high and about 4 inches across! We laughed and had the waitress take it back and not charge us. We were very disappointed and will not return. Sad because the setting is very nice.
Birthday dinner - food was excellent - the table gave was the baked brie appetizer.
We love the Jamesport Manor Inn. The rural setting soothes the soul, the attentive service refreshes the mind, and the outstanding food nourishes body and soul. Is it a wonder we are frequent guests?
Even with a wedding reception and a bridal shower going on, the kitchen was in fine form most especially the outstanding duck in a curry sauce - just a terrific balance of a very good cut of duck breast and its real flavor and a delicate spice that did not overwhelm it, alongside fresh snap peas
The Jamesport Inn is a gem. We enjoyed a late afternoon dinner recently, and the chicken is worth the trip alone. Dinners served by a friendly and responsive server. Another star goes for the beautiful bucolic setting. We look forward to many meals there this summer!
Lovely location and amazing food and service too.
Always a pleasure to experience the JM . You can always expect a perfect dining experience.
Lovey setting. Good food and service. Reasonable prices. A go to place when you you travel out east on the north shore.
Great, the service was good
After being out all day touring Vineyards, it was the perfect place to relax and have a great meal, wonderful service and perfect atmosphere.
Everything was lovely—every course, the decor throughout (down to the extremely clean rest rooms), and the bucolic setting. My poached pear dessert was especially good!
Another fabulous meal ! The duck was cooked to perfection and delicious. The beet salad with goat cheese is now my new favorite. Wendy is always on point with her exceptional service. I highly recommend Jamesport Manor Inn. You will not be disappointed
We were seated at the time specified by our reservation. The food was excellent, the menu varied and the service was excellent. We will go back.
Fantastic food - variety of selections - great wine list.
Wow! What a find. Loved the atmosphere, the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. As opposed to other nearby places every dish was done tastefully and prepared in such a way the flavors of the main course could stand on their own. (No heavy sauces or outlandish seasonings here). Will definitely be coming back for my next special occasion soon.
Happy to return after a few years. I brought my Mom and family for this year's Mother's Day celebration and everyone was impressed!!! We loved the ambience, the delicious food and the service was top notch. Will definitely return sooner than later :)
Perfect Mothers Day. Food was on point as usual. Wendy was attentive and welcoming!
Very disappointing. We live close by and the Jamesport Manor has become our "go to" spot for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. We were recently there on 5/8 and both my husband and I were surprised by the menu changes. When I booked the reservation, a few weeks earlier, all looked great. Once we were seated and given the menus we were sorely disappointed to see that most of our favorite items were replaced with different dishes that left little appeal for us. We both settled on the filet mignon, only beef option available by the way. I was shocked when it was served to us on a bed of cold potato salad. What an odd pairing - I expressed my dissatisfaction to our waitress, who was wonderful by the way. She explained that the menu was just changed that previous Wednesday. If I ordered a burger, potato salad would be a great but with filet mignon - really?? Was the chef too lazy to pair it with a delicious side dish? That was the most expensive potato salad ever served to me - and nothing to write home about. We ended up getting a round of drinks comped - even still, the whole thing left a bad taste. Wanted to pass this along, wish I would have checked the menu that morning, if I had, I would have cancelled.
Probably the most charming place to dine on the North Fork! When you combine that with great food and wonderful service from Wendy, you get an outstanding dining experience!
It was great!
