   We have been going there for 6 years, food and drinks are always good, just wish they would change up the menus more. The chef daily menu helps but they don’t advertise that so it’s the luck of the draw if it’s something you might want to order. Overall still really good.

   Great date experience there. Annie the host helped me with setting up a drink for my date while i ran late and dylan ensured we had a welcoming and pleasant time while we dined. The salty sow’r was amazing and my date loved his mule.

   Outstanding!! I wish I could give 10stars. The food and service were amazing. Deviled eggs for appetizer, corned beef and cabbage, and pork carnitas were so good.

   We always enjoy Salty Sow. Their food is consistently interesting and tasty. The service is consistently superb. We eat on the patio most every time we go and it is still very loud. I really don’t like to holler to be heard by the person across from me and vice versa. It is an issue with most Austin restaurants.

    Food was amazing. We loved the Pork Belly with collard greens and the french fries in Duck Fat. The Smoked Pork carnitas were a generous portion and we loved having so many veggies on the side. Kara was an amazing server, friendly, kind and patient with us! We will come back for sure!

    Charles was our server and he did an incredible job - he was running around seating people, taking orders and delivering food. he was incredibly friendly and just great. The food was good. We sat outside and it was super hot, but otherwise a great experience! Everyone loved the duck fat fries.

    I have dreams about the beef shoulder. I'm also cursed to always forget my beef shoulder leftovers. It's happened two times in a row now. This last time kept me up at night. That's how good the whole dish is. Also, Salty Sow makes my favorite cocktail - their Rosemary's Piglet. The happy hour fried chicken is also very delicious.

    Salty Sow is my go-to spot for Chef Crafted American Food in Austin. This was my third time to dine there, and I can tell you that when I return to Austin in a few months, I will be back! Food highlights include Pork Belly with house made Collards, Crispy Chicken Thighs, Chicken Liver Mousse and terrific cocktails. This is the place, Y’all!

    We had a great time at the Salty Sow and our server was awesome and super attentive. She dealt with an 8 party bachelor party like this wasn’t her first rodeo 💅🏻. Food came out with excellent timing and no one was ever with an empty glass. Thanks again!

    Dylan our server was EXCEPTIONAL! We had a special request for our vegetarian dining companion and he totally and graciously accommodated us. He gave us great recommendations all around. I hope Dylan is our server when we come back!

    The braised beef was bland (needed more salt!); my friend's pork belly was TOO salty. On arrival there was no room to enter to even have a pre-dinner drink. When there finally was room, no server came to take our drink order. I had to ask at the serving area where they told me a server would come, and then we waited while no server came, and I finally headed out again and found the server myself. Meanwhile, during this time of me hunting down a server, there were several tables ready but yet we were not seated despite availability. It was very loud. Overall, it was OK.

    I love salty sow for the last two visits there is, this host is kind of snotty. We had requested and booked for a booth in the front room. Five people walk off the street and get the table even though we were 10 minutes early. When I advised her she was just really unpleasant. Our waiter was the best and our manager took her complete seriously, so I’m grateful. But this is the second one I’ve had with this host so it’s not about a bad night. But a bad attitude.

    Everything was wonderful from the service to the food. They had our reservation and quickly seated us as soon as we arrived. Our waiter, Dylan, was very charismatic and helpful when it came it recommending dishes and giving me a sample of a wine to help me decide. My boyfriend is normally not a fan of restaurants that are a bit more formal, but because of the ambience and his friendly Dylan was it made him comfortable. All of the waiters were attentive and prebussed our table as they walked by and assisted with running our food. It seems like everyone was in sync and ensured we had the best time.

    The truffled deviled eggs are delicious. IMO, could use a sprinkle of flaky finishing salt on top. I had the Wagyu burger. It was also delicious, cooked pink as requested and juicy, seasoned nicely. The triple fried duck fat fries were fried perfectly and also seasoned well. They were dipped in a cold bearnaise with the perfect amount of herb. My partner had a special. Duck leg confit. He was in heaven. The chicken was tender and juicy, it came with a sauce, I don't remember the description, but it was very tasty. All in all, we were very pleased with the service and the food. I wish they had a small waiting area inside with seating or a seated bar area for people who arrive for their reservation, early.

    Our reservation was for 7 people, I called about 4 hours before the reservation and asked if we could make it 8 people. The hostess said no and that if we did have 8 people we would have to wait until 9pm for dinner. We told our friend that wanted to come she couldn’t because of this. Then when we arrived at the restaurant they sat us at a table that had 8 seats at it… very disappointing. I wish someone had called even if it was right before to let us know there was space for 8 people. Additionally the restaurant was not full at all. It made no sense what the hostess had told us. No one apologized or even acknowledged their mistake. Disappointing.

    This place is wonderful! The service and food were excellent! Came for the Happy Hour and could not believe the incredible food items for the prices; truffled deviled eggs, chicken liver mousse, crispy Brussels sprout leaves, duck fat fries, honey chicken and candied pork belly!! The HH Portuguese wine was also great. Wait staff was very attentive and nice. Can’t wait to come back.

    I stopped in for happy hour on the way to an event at the Bass Concert Hall. I had a cocktail, deviled eggs, and carnitas taco. It was all outstanding. The service was excellent. I’ll definitely make another reservation on my next trip to Austin.

    Good american food with an international touch. From the salad to the charcuterie, from the bone marrow to veal shoulder everything was excellent! The pairing was a pinot noir from Willamette Valley . We finished with Banana Foster and Chocolate Truffle cake! .

    I requested to be seated inside because the smoker filled the outside seating area with smoke. The staff opened the door part way through our dinner and we ended up smelling like smoke by the time dinner was over.

    My fiancé and I started with the Deviled Eggs and the Duck Fat French Fries. Both dishes were delicious and a unique take on a classic. For our mains, we ordered the Beef Shoulder and the Candied Pork Belly. Both dishes were excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The vibe of the restaurant was very cool - classic yet contemporary. As soon as we approached the restaurant, we could smell the aroma of deliciously cooked meat. The waiter was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The entire experience was top-notch for a nice quiet date night. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.
