Disappointing -
The overall experience was average. The service was 5 out of 10 - waitress didn't take our food order until 35 mins after our arrival. The 16 oz. bone in ribeye steak which was ordered medium rare came to the table slightly dry, overcooked and at room temperature. The brussel sprouts were not well seasoned but the mashed potatoes shined as a side. The cocktails were above average (I ordered the rare manhattan). The price was comparable to Ruth's Chris, Del Frisco's or Mortons, but overall neither the food or drinks were near their level of quality. We would not go back

Great evening as a the four of us celebrated the birthday a very special friend. As usual, the dinners were outstanding. The service was perfect - just right to give us a chance to enjoy the evening.

A great place to eat regardless of the occasion. The chef always has something new to taste on the menu. A must on the dessert menu is the Molten Butter Cake.
The bartender is creative and makes excellent cocktails. Not your typical restaurant cocktails.

We had just eloped that morning and went to TR for a special lunch after—everyone was wonderful to us and made it very special!!

Valentine’s Day

The food was amazing! From Octopus, chowder to steak. Cooked perfectly and temperatures on everything just right. The wine excellent-Reisling! Just loved it!

The filet mignon was amazing! Service was great too!

My husband and I have enjoyed many many meals at the Tasting Room since we moved to Frederick over twelve years ago. This meal was different. I was alone. It was my husband's 70th birthday, but he had just moved from three weeks in the ICU to a rehab facility to regain his strength. I texted him a picture of each course so that he could "celebrate with me." When the owner of TR, Jared, came to talk, he wondered why I was alone. He was shocked when I told him the story of nearly losing my husband. I certainly did not feel alone during my dinner. Then, when it came time to pay my bill, my server, another friend, told me that the couple at the next table had already settled my account. That is how wonderful the Tasting Room is. That is how wonderful Frederick is. It is a small community that cares for each other.

Top notch service and the most tasty cocktails and food options! My husband and I ordered 3 entrees because everything sounded so good and we couldn’t choose just one for ourselves.

The food, lobster chowder, crab cakes, octopus, was outstanding. Cocktails were perfection, and the service excellent. We are never disappointed here.

Loved celebrating our anniversary at The Tasting Room. Fantastic food, awesome service, romantic ambience and very safe dining experience with COVID. Always a 5 star experience.

Our food was excellent as always, but the service by the waitress was not stellar, the rest of the wait staff otherwise was exceptional. When you commit to the expense of a upscale restaurant it should not matter where you sit, but the only reservation available was at the high tables. I will not do that again as the constant back and forth of carry out deliveries was a detriment to our dining experience. Still our go to for special diners though!
